Il Caminetto

I have been a regular patron of Il Caminetto for many years now and can happily say my last visit was the most memorable.
The restaurant has ticked ALL the boxes.
The menu is diverse, imaginative and sumptuous.
The meals are pleasingly delicate and artistically presented.
The service is faultless without being overbearing.
The atmosphere FANTASTIC!
The acoustics seem to have also taken up a notch.
Many thanks to all the staff and I recommend this cosy wonderful restaurant located in such a convenient locale for us locals to all.

Loved it, great food and great service which seems to be abnormal these days. Probably the best Italian restaurant experience we’ve had in Melbourne.

Underrated. Kinda hope it stays that way. The best pizza I've had on numerous occasions. Quiet and warm surroundings.

We had lunch today at II Caminetto. We chose 2 Entres, & a Main each, all were plated nicely and very, very delicious. House wine being Sav Blanc was fine. Service was great, very attentive. This is our 2nd visit to this restaurant, we highly recommend the food & service. Go try this Italian Restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

The staff are as far as can tell authentic Italian waiters.
The pride in their food is evident in all that they present. The pizza base is very well done and achieved great topping without the perfect Woodfired base being compromised.and stays crispy.
Gnocci deserves applause along with the home baked bread.buonissima!

We dined here for the first time on Saturday night for a surprise birthday dinner. I can’t believe we had never been here before. It’s an absolute amazing local gem. Roberto and Juliana were amazing to deal with. They were so friendly and professional and gave us the best night ever. The planning of this dinner was so seamless. The food was delicious. Award winning pizza and home and pasta. We got the banquet and everything we had was so yum. Thank you for a wonderful dinner can’t wait to visit again soon.

The Pinot noir was horrible
The pizza was ok but lacked flavour
Took a while to be served

Food was exceptional and very generous portions
Staff was very accommodating will return soon

I absolutely loved this restaurant.
I am lactose intolerant and often avoid Italian cuisine because don't have options available to me. I could customise any of the pizza options to have vegan cheese and there were several other pasta and dessert options that catered to me.
The food was amazing and service was lovely and quick.
I will definitely be returning.

Good pizza but they are too loose with cutting it (irregular slices and often not cut all the way through).

Went there tonight with a group of 16. We all had a fantastic night. Great food, excellent service. Have been here a few times before and will keep going back. Never disappoints. Thank you to all the staff. Fino alla prossima Volta!

Wonderful meal selection. They were able to cater for a coelliac and for a lactose intollerant persons with several options for entry, mains and dessert. This is very rare. The food was tasty and the service was spot on. Will return for sure.

Service was excellent, Waiter told me they had a more expensive higher grade wagyu steak that I gave a go, not really worth $50 however, was nice but personally didn’t see the value. Pizza was excellent.

Always a lovely ambience along with busy service. It’s a very much loved local to go to for an appetiser, main meal, pizza or a catch up over a cocktail?

Love their food. They make one of the best Pizzas and pastas. I rarely eat vegetarian pizza, but their vegetarian puzza is amazing. The place serves food pretty quick for a pizza/pasta meal. The fresh toppings and good base for pizzas are amazing. This is one of my 5 favourite pizza places in Melbourne.

Used to be good but they forgot rocket and on the other pizza put real salami instead of vegan. No use now since I'm home. Won't come again.

Knocked out by the amazing food: quality house-made ravioli, wonderful salads and divine desserts. Fantastic service. The only Italian destination in this area. Love them.

To the owner who uses third party services @ driveyello for delivering their pizzas thinks everyone is avaialble for him whenever he thinks so.
He approves the shift couple of hours ago (2 to 3) which was applied few days ago and expects to do the shift. Is that a joke.
As a delivery driver we cant be available all the time when he thinks it is okay for him.

Due to which the company ofcourse blocks the drivers account as it doesn't want to lose a business.
And delivery drivers Suffer big time as cannot work for else options than his place.

As a Small business should respect individual who works hard to make ends meet.

I get a pizza here once a fortnight. Possibly the best pizza shop in the whole of Melbourne. Great prices and even better pizzas.
