IGA Travancore reviews
34Small store, great to pop in and grab something quick on the go but not a huge selection of products to choose from.
Convenient location and a decent range of staple items that you can pop in to pick up if you don't want to go to a big supermarket. Staff are friendly.
Very friendly staff, some prices of some drinks were more on the expensive side but other things were reasonable but understandable due to the convenience factor (Location) and its an IGA so overall good store!
Expensive however good options for tranvancore residents as it’s just in the building. Convenient location
Very convenient! Stocks most of the essentials. Friendly service.
Also able to top up MyKi
Top bunch. Really nice. Great and varied selection of goods. Try their best to cater for an ever evolving area. Always helpful.
I live in the area and this is my local IGA. The staff are always very helpful and friendly, it's never really busy, and they have a good range of both food and liquor. The produce is all fresh, and everything is reasonably priced:)
Not a great IGA. Below are the problems I have had in the last 3 days:
1) No change at the registers for a $20 note when buying $8.35 of groceries
2) Food expired by several months
3) Rude staff who generally appear to have no interest in being there
I would recommend going to Woolworths New Market if you don't mind the extra travel.
Went in there on 23 September around 9pm. I was very upset with the young lady working at the counter. It seems like she does NOT know about manner to customers. She does not even say 'Thank You' once I finished paying for my stuff. I could not believe someone like her works at a retail store. Shame on you guys for hiring her, probably the worst IGA service I've had in my whole entire life. Not to be racist though, but she should learn how to serve customers in Australia, this is not India.
The other staffs were alright. But there is one particular girl, she was extremely rude and i found her a little bit racist.eventhough I assume that she is indian too just like me. She would only greet and say thanks to the white costumers. Everytime She saw me buying stuff she would always give me the attitude. Hope she got fired
It's always good to have a store to get whatever you forgot at the supermarket. It's a bit pricey but staff is friendly and you will find whatever you may need.
Incredibly convenient and surprisingly large for the location. Plenty of fresh produce and meats but also all the regular shelf staples.
I live in the building above. I always purchase my groceries from here and they're open late! I had a particularly pleasant experience with whom I think is the owner. My boyfriend and I are vegan and we purchased these indian pancakes (stuffed with cauliflower and potato), and he got so excited that we were purchasing them that he even told us how to prepare them. The other staff have been quite nice to me too.:)
Rotten fruits and veggies on display - expired food on shelves - incorrectly stored frozen foods
