Seven nights in Apollo Bay and by luck first morning I bought my coffee from Icaro. I love my coffee and these guys made my holiday, it was not I could risk drinking a bad coffee somewhere else. Great service, great atmosphere while waiting for my order, highly recommended!

Was a good toastie but it took more than 20min to toast (and there was no one waiting). The coffee was very weak but otherwise okay.

Sometimes you’re better off not seeing how your food is prepared. ‍️

If you wipe your nose and then rub your finger around the rim of the portafilter as you’re making someone’s coffee, what would you do when people aren’t looking?

I paid for a coffee but walked away empty handed.

Beautiful food. BBQ Jack Fruit Buddha bowl served with guac, greens, rice was AMAZING. Mac Burger was delicious. Chia pudding and berry smoothie was berry good! Lovely outdoor chairs and atmosphere. Music fun without being too crazy! Love the mural too!

Had a lovely time at Icaro! The staff were all very friendly and seemed to really enjoy working together. I ordered a long black and the mushroom dish. They use St Ali coffee and make an excellent cup! The mushrooms were nicely flavoured and the serving was generous and filling. There was a great vibe, I enjoyed the late 90s-early 00s tunes that were pumping too!

We have been driving the great ocean road and visiting a lot of different cafes, the coffee here has been the best all trip! It was so good, I would definitely go back. The food was also great, very healthy, filling and delicious.

This little cafe was our take-away coffee spot whilst on holiday at Apollo Bay. We also ate breakfast here. The staff were extremely friendly - always relaxed and happy! If you like heathly, wholesome food that isn't pretentious or churned out - go here! It is also pet friendly!

Four months ago I would have been rating this place 5 stars. Sadly, since the change of management this place has really gone down hill. My favourite dish here was the smashed avo on sourdough with beetroot hummus and feta. Over the last year I would come in regularly and order it. It used to come with beetroot hummus and a generous serving of avocado and feta. Ever since Camille has left it has come with very little feta no hemp seeds and over the last couple of weeks, the beetroot hummus has changed to just hummus yet this is not reflected on the menu. Last week when I bought a serve it was smothered in hummus and once again with barely any avocado or feta. When I asked if it was meant to be beetroot hummus I was told that it had changed to just hummus. I apologised that I must have misread the menu, to be told “we haven’t changed it on the menu yet. ” It would have been nice to have been told that when I placed my order. Today I hesitantly gave this place one last chance. Menu still stated beetroot hummus, but I asked first and was told it was just hummus. Fortunately the toast (but very untoasted today) was not smothered in hummus this time, but once again very short changed in the feta. Only five pieces across two pieces of toast. I have uploaded two photos to the photo section under my name - one from today with its hummus and minimal avocado and feta and one from March this year with delicious beetroot hummus, generous serving of avocado and feta and topped with hemp seeds. The difference between the two servings is striking. Both photos show the serving in a take away box. Enough chances for the new management to get it right. I will not be returning.

Quality little spot! Great coffee with brilliant food menu. Proper portion sizes and breakfast. It was really nice to be outside as well in some sunshine on a table mid-winter enjoying Apollo Bay fresh air. This place is a winner!

Was in Apollo Bay for 2 days, and on the morning of the GOR race, I had to look for a place that serves breakfast and not crowded. Unfortunately, all the cafes on the main road were packed, with a long waiting queue outside, so I found this tucked away at the far end of the road, and it had a few empty tables to sit.

I ordered the THE AVO - smashed avocado, beetroot hummus, dill & Merideth goat feta served on organic sourdough; along with an almond flat white.

Food was served quickly by a friendly staff. Dish was nicely decorated on the side of the dish, but not so much on the actual toast. The bread was dry, and for the price that you pay ($20.0 for 2 slices), you’d expect an exceptional taste from a smashed avo that is served over beetroot hummus & goat cheese. I was honestly disappointed by the lack of anything that a smashed avo is known for, as these three ingredients didn’t go very well together.

The only thing I enjoyed was the coffee. It was really nice.

They do have other options on display. Maybe opt for those instead. Just keep in mind that this is not a cheap breakfast option.

Great cosy vegetarian cafe that will make you think you are in the heart of Brunswick operated by friendly youngsters. You can expect coffee to please Melbourne hipsters. The food is healthy, nutritious and excellent for the town.

Deeeelicious coffee, to-die-for spelt and brown sugar scone served with raspberry jam and coconut cream, in a trendy, animated and friendly environment. I will be back.

Definitely the best food in Apollo Bay. Their sushi bowl is very healthy and yummy too. Mushroom latte is the 'Must have' in this cafe. Also their dessert is yummy and satisfy for our trip. Staff are very friendly. Sitting allowed outside but very limited. Plenty of parking nearby. Get in early for this cafe.

Great coffee but with some attitude. If you plan to eat there expect to sit outside with no shelter.

Forget the cafes on the main street - head down the side street to this great cosy little cafe for something a bit different and wonderful!

Excellent coffee, the best we have found along the coast. St Ali beans which are strong and delicious. Really nice outdoor seating on tables and the grass.
