I Love Dumplings Express

I had a meal with beef in it, the meat was inedible, literally like eating old leather! Please don't bother!

I had the chicken and prawn dumplings. I spent the night in the bathroom. Please ensure your dumplings are cooked before service, I am very sick.

I had a really bad experience in this place. Service were really poor, cutlery were dirty and staff are so rude. Never again

This is our go to place for Dumplings and noodles. Food is really great and friendly service too. Chef is very talented

After previously receiving an order with missing sauces and sides I thought I’d try this place again. After (waiting a long time and then) getting the order I confirmed that the sauces were there and my partner and myself headed home. About 20 minutes drive. Upon returning home we discovered we had been given pork dumplings instead of the vegetarian dumplings I heard my partner order, twice. After a 20 minute drive back to the shop the staff were barely apologetic and offered nothing as compensation. They hurriedly prepared the replacement dumplings and handed them over without a word. Upon getting to the car we checked that they were in fact vegetarian dumplings and realised that the dumplings we had been given as a replacement were breaking apart exposing the filling which was barely warm. I took one bite and was repulsed by the texture and temperature of the dumplings. I will never eat at one of these franchises ever again.

Absolutely love this place. Best dumplings I’ve ever had and that is backed up by my family of 3 teenagers and fussy hubby. Friends have also agreed. I am in love with the pork dumpling and noodle laksa. I order extra steamed dumplings and divide it for lunch following day. It is my favourite takeaway of ALL time. Such a treat and worth every single penny. Very good value. Also, it’s always super fresh!

Never again! The food used to be really good and I've given this restaurant every chance to improve but unfortunately the quality and portion size (example pictured) are just terrible. There's a lot of really good dumpling restaurants nearby instead! Avoid.

Had the pepper chicken and pan fried gf dumplings. Great price, very balanced flavours and portions, the flavour was appetising until the end. The dumplings had great filling and the gf casing was surprisingly good, I'd even offer them to non-gf except I ate them all.

Was really happy with my dumplings (pan fried) and spring onion pancake.
The food was tasty and would go again.just for the bag of prawn crackers. It was larger than my head.

I only just noticed this place and thought I'd check it out.

I have't eaten there, but from looking at the menu, it is expensive. I would rather patronise the local non-chain restaurants which I know are good quality at a cheaper price.

I am surprised by the positive reviews of the dumplings we ordered 3 serves @ about $28.00 they were really horrible and wernt really hot inside, we left most of the meal behind. There are better options available elsewhere.

Decent and cheap however so dirty out the front. Wish they would mop the floors near the outdoor seating

Always quick, tastie, and a good variety. Tried the pan fried chicken & corn dumplings this time and they were delightful.

This is a self serve place. No interaction at all with the staff. I felt really dirty the floors was slippery like a layer of grease stuck to the surface. Really disappointed. There was no feel to this place. Never again.

They accidentally made a mistake with my Ubeareats order (we’re only human). As soon as I rang they were so helpful and apologetic and since they had no drivers I had to re-buy through Ubereats. I got a dud driver who took over an hour to deliver it (I live 7 mins from the shop) and said he got lost despite two calls. The woman from I Love Dumplings called every 5 mins to check whether I got my meal. After an hour and two calls later the dude cancelled when he was only a street away.uber were shocking to deal with but the woman from the restaurant felt terrible so personally drove the dumplings to me. Unbelievable service from her and yummy dumplings.

Not sure about the express part? Keep getting told another 2,3 and now 4 minutes until my orders ready, despite preordering?

Update: free prawn crackers and a drink + good sized dumplings. Order restored.

WARNING: we ordered the Honey Chicken wok for $21.80 and it came with 20 bite sized pieces of chicken. We called to see if we’d accidentally been given the wrong size. They were polite but insisted we had gotten the full size. The only foods I’m okay with paying $1/bite for are steak and nice seafood.

The food tasted good, but there are places all around Melbourne that you can get significantly more food of similar or better quality for literally half the price.

Now, we also ordered the lamb & beef dumplings and the pork dumplings. These were tasty, of a good size, and good price point. Around $1/dumpling. I may order dumplings again but certainly never ever anything else off their menu.

The spring rolls were only alright. Good filling, too many layers of paper. Just wanted people to not make the same mistake I did as we thought for our $60 we were getting four single person meals worth of food, not two

Beautiful dumplings but i think the type of steamed rice used could be a different variety - the rice used did not compliment the dumplings.

Yum, yum. Second time I’ve ordered from this restaurant on Uber Eats. Both times the food has been great.

All the dishes cooked quite well, good serving sizes and very tasty.

A little sachet of soy came with the dumplings. I would have liked vinegar and a little more soy too.

I think it would also be great to have cutlery as an optional. I received 3 sets and I am at home so I use my own.
