Hunky Dory Fish & Chips Ringwood

Had lovely char grilled calamari strips with chips and slaw and a nice wine. Glad I was hungry because the serving was very generous.
First time to a HD but very impressed.
Lots to choose from on the menu. Lots of salad choices too.
Decor was deliberately rustic and it suited an up-market fish n chip establishment.

Went eoth my 2 cousins, got great food, i heard about the place from a project at my class in tafe, was not disappointed. A bit far (2 hours drive) but no regerts

Love Hunky Ds. Always have, no matter were it is. My only criticism is the price which is to compensate for the over visual stimulus (upper-class feel) to overcome the fact that all you are doing is eating regular Fish 'n' Chips

Really nice fish & chippery styled restaurant. Sitting amongst a number of other restaurants, Hunky Dory has amazing and easy-going staff that gives it a local corner store owner feel!
Food is nicely presented and was delicious.
The only downside I have is the lack of options for Vegetarians. There seems to be only a veggie burger, but I have seen at other fish and chips stores vegetarian dim Sims and other seaside style foods.

However, that doesn't stop me and my family to come again! Thanks for a great time

The salads used to be amazing but my kale salad was 90 percent baby spinach and drowned in a dressing. Not as nice as it used to be? New chef

Great location, great atmosphere and great staff. Pity the servings were smaller than other outlets.

Absolutely love it. The food is delicious but more importantly the worker and the owner understand what customer service is. Never once have I not felt welcomed even when it is super busy. We have become regulars now

Yum! Fish and chips done fancy in great setting of eastland "Town centre".
Quick with large portions.

I got fish and chips to go. Chips were soggy, fish was dry and it was over priced really disappointed.

Very expensive for a very small portion, just had an undercooked rice, A lot of leaf salad (spinach). Very thin piece of fish with no flavour, I do not recommend, A fish a chips shop will be a better place

Excellent service and a friendy atmosphere. Great food and a large selectionon the menu of healthy eating options.

Went here for dinner and on arrival were greeted by a very friendly fellow. We were asked if we would like to sit inside or outside. As it was a lovely evening we chose outside. We ordered our meals and drinks, took a number and went to a table outside. Our meals arrived quickly. We had char grilled calamari with Greek salad and chips and grilled fish of the day with Greek salad and chips. Meals were a good sized servings and were really good. Calamari was tender and good taste. The fish was grilled nicely. Meals here are well priced and good value. Staff are great and great service. Recommended for a nice casual meal. Takeaway is also available.

Had the Grilled fish of the day with chips and coleslaw. Did not disappoint! Fish was moist and lightly seasoned, chips were perfectly cooked.crunchy outside and fluffy inside.very morish! It can get quite busy so be prepared to wait for a table during lunch or dinner! They have been consistent with their food quality thus far. The price is good value too!

The worst Fish and Chips in Melbourne so I would recommend going to Ringwood East Fish and Chips on 96 Railway Ave Ringwood since they make the best Fish and Chips ever tasted.

Amazing food, great staff and an overall fabulous experience.
I had a minor issue with my meal and "Baby George" was extremely accommodating. He was helpful right from the beginning when taking my order, right through to the very end. A friendly face who was nothing but helpful.

Had the grilled fish with quinoa and salad etc. Was very good. However my friends chicken was under cooked and not good at all

Well experienced chef, full hygienic food and Excellent hospitality. Specially tall guy good looking chef with grt food specially when he work on grill.

For a place that is supposed to be about seafood. I was extremely disappointed in their calamari it was overcooked and tough. I had to throw it in the bin.
I ordered take away so maybe there isn't as much effort put into takeaways as eating in, the worst I've ever had.
The chips that came with it weren't that good either.

Never again.

My kids and I love having lunch at hunky dory everytime we visit Eastland. Great food and great customer service. Keep up the good work guys!

Calamari tasted/ looked dehydrated.
Burwood store is a lot better in comparison to the Eastland store & the others, go to that one!
