Hui Psychiatry

Dr Hui has been an amazing psychiatrist, I feel that my concerns were heard, and that I was able to be involved in my care plan, which made finding a solution that worked for me a much quicker process than I anticipated.

Dr Hui supports my son and as a family we have all benefited since that care began. His knowledge and open approach is great, we have all had many conversations and ultimately my son feels supported and informed whilst being in control of his own decisions. I would highly recommend Dr Hui.

Seeing Andrew was a positive experience, and I felt very validated in my mental health struggles. He was patient with me while I took almost a year to organise the history needed to obtain the PBS subsidy for my treatment.

Dr Hui is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor and I'm grateful I was able to see him. He has helped me a lot and made interacting with him very easy. I can strongly recommend Dr Hui to anyone seeking psychiatric services - especially for late diagnosed ADHD which is what he helped me with.

My teenage daughter was struggling considerably with her mental health when she first saw Dr Hui. We had been to multiple practitioners in the years prior to her visit with minimal improvements. In the 12 months she has been in his care, she is back attending school, working and socialising with friends. Dr Hui has changed the life of my daughter and our family.

He came recommended to me earlier in the year by my therapist and was able to, through careful consultation, see through and diagnose what other specialists were not able to in the past: my life-long struggles with ADHD and other comorbidities.

I have been a patient of Dr Hui for 12 months now and have been very happy with the outcomes of my sessions. Dr Hui is a great psychiatrist. Not only was I provided with treatment which started helping me to function but I felt validated in my experiences by him. A common thing in mental health is constantly questioning what you’re experiencing and whether it’s valid or “bad enough”, Dr Hui generally is very reassuring in this area and works with you to improve your health. It is obvious that he genuinely cares about his patients.

Booking follow up appointments can be slightly confusing sometimes but is usually resolved pretty easily with an email.

My experience with Dr Hui for diagnosing and managing my ADHD has been very positive.
He has been a compassionate and helpful provider who took me seriously and made the process of seeking help smoother and less frightening than I could have hoped for. Andrew has answered my questions and checked in on my progress with care, I highly recommend him.

Dr Hui is a pleasure to have as a psychiatrist. His Knowledge is wide enough that a painless and quick process was the outcome for me. I have lived with undiagnosed ADHD for my whole life and taking that step to get help was scary. But Dr Hui was professional and asked the right questions to determine the next course of action. It was also identified by Dr Hui that some maladaptive schema's were also contributing to my overall mental health, so i have been seeing a psychologist to also help with that. Overall it has been a positive and pleasant experienced, Dr Hui comes highly recommended

Dr Hui has been great in diagnosing and treating my ADHD and related conditions. I had a lot of internalised stigma and he cut through that, listened non-judgementally, saw me for me and knew how to help with what I struggled with. The initial consult is pricier than others but the elevation in service and speed towards the right diagnosis and treatment makes it worth it. Follow-ups are also much cheaper and he's available to answer questions outside of appointments which some other psychs are not. I wish every medical professional was as skilled, personable and attentive as Dr Hui.

I have had a great experience with Dr Hui. He provided a through exam and is well versed in his knowledge of medications and how they can help. He has been very helpful when I need changes and adapting my care to me.
