HOYTS Watergardens reviews
74Paid 12 or something dollars through optus and so can't really complain. Seats are comfy and screen very big. Good and reliable place to see a movie and it's right next to restaurants and bars.
Love the extreme screen cinema at Hoyts. Watergardens keep their cinemas clean and tidy.
Free popcorn top ups available if you are a member.its my new favorite cinema!
Lovely cinema close to home with recliner seats. The Candy Bar section is a bit of an unorganised mess. People don't know where to stand when waiting for their order number to be called out. Last week a guy had dropped his bucket of popcorn and the staff were nice and gave him a new one for free which was nice to see. However, they just ignored the big mess on the ground as it was very busy and everyone was just walking over it! There was no urgency to clean it up to prevent further mess.
Good cinema just way too pricey. Especially when it comes to the candy bar. It’s all hoyts not just this one, but I can’t get a post mix drink for less than $7, that’s insane.
A bit pricey but definitely worth it. The seats are to die for! They are super comfy and the leather seats can recline.
Far to expensive for children imparticular no wonder families are not going also at the prices charged you should have optimum service eg a staff member available to serve kiosk customers you could learn from independent cinemas that are packed 2 stars for recliner seats
Love how all cinema's are fitted with recliners. They have also set up a mini food bar near cinema area so you don't need to walk all the way to the front counter for top ups.
Always a great experience, but Starwars: Rise of Skywalker was the worst movie in the franchise ever. I am a fan no longer
Good cinema. I really like the reclining seats. It is a little more expensive than other cinemas, but I find it cleaner and more comfortable. Would recommend to anyone who likes to feel a little privacy as well because of the little walls behind each row of seats
The theatre is awesome. Comfortable seats and spacious. Very good overall except for the pop corn, pop corn was kind of average.
Amazingly kept cinema looks brand new even tho its not, food and drinks could be a bit cheaper but its fine and the staff are so friendly and usually the cinema isn't that busy
Just saw Once Upon A Time in Hollywood - worst movie I have seen in a long time. Watergardens Hoyts tho was great. They even had functioning closed caption equipment which was a real bonus
Cinema was great with their new recliner chairs, however service from the girls at the ticket counter very poor!
I had pre-purchased tickets on line so all we I needed to do was go to the "COLLECT" counter to scan it & go in, there was no one in line at the counter so walked right up & stood there. & stood there. & stood there.while 3 young girls were huddle to the other end of the counter seemingly to all be serving at the one register talking casually to each other, the line in the normal ticket counter wasn’t that long, maybe 2 couples waiting. One of the girls even walked up to my end & saw me & I thought she was going to serve me but didn't even bother acknowledging me, not even a "be right with you" just walked off again & she definitely saw me, quite rude to be honest. My friend & I even went away to check if we had mistakenly passed those ticket scanning machines at the front but they are for just purchasing so we walked back to the “COLLECT” counter to stand there…again & not be served, I wasn’t sure if I was in the right place as we were not getting served AT ALL! I thought maybe we had to actually wait in the normal line so my friend went around the other side & checked & that’s when 1 of the girls decided to acknowledged him, he had to come call me over to go scan our tickets all the way around people to the other end of the counter further away from the cinemas at a normal unattended register. Whats the point of having a "COLLECT" counter for quicker service when no one actually serves you & just pretend you're not standing there for ages. Waited about 5 mins with the walking back & forth everywhere just to get my pre-purchased tickets scanned which would have taken them two seconds out of their (not so) busy day & let us through. Didn’t even bother saying sorry for the wait & they would have seen we were looking around to be served!
Where has all the good customer service gone these days!
Nice place, had a minni arcade. Very expensive candy bar, for a up to $8 for a small pack of chocolates. Nice recliners. Good to watch a long movie because of how confey the seats are, they recline. You never see peaples heads when you watching the movie because the chairs are high. Nice big BASS. Good sound and just a good place to watch and enjoy a movie. I recomend this place
Love the recliner chairs at hoyts, so much room I could watch movie after movie, ticket prices could do with a drop though.
I really enjoy going to Hoyts cinemas. The staff are friendly, decent ticketing prices and the seats are really comfortable- leather and reclinable.
I’d suggest sitting in the middle or back of the cinema room though. The front rows are terrible to sit in and very uncomfortable as you will need to raise your head throughout the whole movie. Food is always over priced but that’s just every cinema for you.
Other than that I rate this cinema highly.
Great place to see a movie with family. Especifically for the easiness to book and choose our own sit over the internet.
Took my children to see The Lion King 3.20pm showing yesterday. I have not been to the movies at watergardens for a long time. I felt that $16 was overpriced for your tickets especially when they were front row ones and you leave with a sore neck from looking up all the time. Also seats A4 and 3 in number 7 recliners were not working and my children were very disappointed.
There are 6 registers and only one person serving the customers on a Sunday, one of the busiest days and around 25 people waiting to be served. We got there 15 minutes early but was late for the movie by 15 minutes even though the tickets were booked online. Maybe hire more staff in busy days.
Recliners for every seat, feels fresh and clean. Only not 5 star due to excessive price for popcorn. $40 for 2 drinks 2 choc tops and a large popcorn thy was pre-made.
