HOYTS Eastland reviews
51Great Location. Even when really busy had trouble finding parking always found a spot eventually. Lots of Restaurants close too before or after seeing a movie!
We love the movies and Hoyts at eastland is great. Ever since every cinema got the comfy recliners I fall asleep in more movies than ever before. The DVD business does a roaring trade out of me as a result. The upgrade to the whole complex is wonderful and the recent addition of saver and super saver prices to some movies can make it it much cheaper for families. The staff are always helpful and the self serve kiosks can zip you through when there is a long line. As long as you know how to use them. All in all if I could be a film critic I would spend lots of time at Hoyts Eastland.
Great and comfortable sitting, can't complain about the movie experience but can complain how expensive it is to get snack, pop corn or drinks!
There's a lot going for this cinema - especially because of it's new super-contemporary design. If you're not already familiar with the new look Hoyts are now going for, I'll briefly explain: their lobby is (mostly) no longer just a counter with a selection of confectionery, popcorn, soft drinks and choc tops. Now, there are "stations" where you can collect your goods - effectively self-serve, though you take the goods to a counter to pay after selection. For example, you might go to one particular station with US imported gourmet confectionery, collect a bucket of popcorn and grab a drink too or even a small pizza - all of which looks great and is convenient, however, I find the pricing to be extremely unclear, if you look hard enough you'll be able to find combo or single item pricing though this can leave customers feeling shocked when they approach the counter with their goods only to find that it costs more than what they were expecting. Moving forward, having a clear, obvious and a transparent approach to signage would build customer expectation and trust. That's my only nitpick which is my reason for 4-stars, otherwise the reclining seats, clean facilities and large screens make for a good experience at Hoyts. The team are welcoming and friendly, particularly when offering advice on allocated seating and session times. Thanks Hoyts for continuing to make positive cinema experiences.
Best cinemas. Seats are luxurious recliners. Coffees can be ordered and delivered to your seats. Ours took and hour and were not really hot but still good.
Best cinemas in the area! All cinemas have recliner seats and a great variety of snack options. Loads of good places to eat beforehand too!
Saw Bohemian Rhapsody 6.15pm 4/11.
Lashed out $90 for two Lux seats E5 and E6.
What a big waste of money, most of the movie was spent watching and listening to staff go up and down the stairs.
Hoyts please get rid of the above seats.
Two words. FULL RECLINE. Yeah it's hoyts with the price and the ok popcorn, but damn, are the seats amazing. Literally the one thing that keeps me going back rather than switching to village. Oh and btw, Chadstone Hoyts have HALF RECLINE seats. Here, at Eastland, the seats recline all the way. Self serve snacks and Ben and Jerry's too. YEET FLEET SKEET DELETE.
Exorbitant food prices as usual, for some reason didn't have the AC on in the cinemas even after I went and asked. Very very hot and uncomfortable. Not the first time here either with this issue. Might have to try Forest Hill instead
New refurbished cinemas are lovely, recliner seats are comfy and staff are always friendly and helpful. I've stopped going to Village in favour of this cinema.
Very expensive and overpriced tickets and food. Nice modern cinema in a good location, but too expensive.
