HOYTS Eastland reviews
51Always clean, nice facilities and friendly service. I made a mistake with my booking and the staff graciously helped me with no issues at all. Thanks for helping me enjoy a stress free day with my little brother!
You get reclining chairs for regular movie ticket price. One of the best every movie experience I have had. Watched Fast 9 at. Eastland Ringwood Hoyts on Xtremescreen.
Good place to watch movies
i rate this 5.6 which is off the charts for a rating good job Hoyts
Nice seats, good ticket prices, wish I could say the same for the food but it's a cinema what do you expect just bring your own.
Absolutely love Hoyts but DO NOT GO TO LUX! The seats are completely broken and falling apart and are so uncomfortable! Definitely save your money and go the regular recliner seats!
This Theater is awesome great sound huge screen and motorised reclining chairs I think it is called Xtreme screen. Well worth the extra cost.
This place is consistently a good experience. Helpful friendly staff and comfortable seating. Food is overpriced as every cinema is but we still enjoy warm popcorn and an ice-cream. Spaces are clean and maintained, floor plan is simple and easy to find your cinema.
I really enjoy going to Hoyts. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of space. I don't feel cramped when I'm watching a movie. The ticket scanning system I have found very efficient, I have never had to wait in line.
Customer service needs work, my ticket didn't even get scanned in and when I asked for prices on food and drink and why I couldn't order through the app the operator was more interested in talking to another colleague than helping out.
Great to have a mix of movies, not just blockbusters. Not staffed well- off peak. Waiting at ticket desk & Cafe bar as they have to call for team members to stand in.
This place is extremely busy, make sure you turn up early to get the table however food come out very fast. The thai food taste is very authentic and the price is also cheap. Definetely come back here for lunch & dinner
* Make sure you order a thai milk tea it's only $4 and taste delicious
First cinema experience in over a year, and we loved it. Jagged a session with no one else - perfect. Nearly forgot how good the seats are in these standard Hoyts cinemas. Also, there's noticeably way less advertising pre movie because they know theatres aren't hitting full capacity yet #protip
Very comfortable seating and a nicely laid out floorplan. However, by scanning tickets after purchasing Popcorn etc.you are made to go through an inefficient juggling act, that holda up the line at the entrance. Also, it is absolutely one of the more expensive Cinemas, more costly than Village, hence the 3 Stars.
Nice cinema. Recliner couches in every cinema! Image and sound are great too. As you'd expect them to be.
Cons: Prices arent displayed openly at the candy bar, quite overpriced food,
Pros: relaxing high quality experience and very comfy recliner seats. Very friendly and helpful staff, great selection of movies, professional, enticing, friendly and welcoming atmosphere
Went to the 6.30pm viewing of Rocket man last night LUX, sat in lounge for 10 min without service while staff all standing around bar chatting - I called for service to order a drink - 3-4 staff on - overall poor attention to customers and service - has dropped since last time I was there - lack of leadership
Went to LUX cinemas. The food was way overpriced for what you got and it was delivered warm, not hot. I don't think I would order food there again. Manu raves about his menu, well I wonder if he'd be happy knowing the food on his menu was delivered warm! The cinema itself was fine, good seats, screen and sounds good - but just like any other movie theatre.
Booked online but unfortunately there was a power outage just before the movie was scheduled to start, this is obviously out of Hoyts control but their response was terrible -
"Wait half an hour and we may or may not still show the movie", "No we don't give refunds, it's not our fault there was a power outage but you can use the tickets to see another movie on another day. " We decided not to wait around hoping they would show the film and decided to do something else instead.
We tried calling to book another movie a week later but could not get anyone to answer the phone so we just went to the cinema and tried to use the tickets as suggested. Unfortunately however there were no seats available for the session we wanted, there was another session an hour later in the "Lux" cinema so we asked if we could pay the difference. "No we don't do refunds and No we cannot allow you to pay the extra to upgrade to the Lux cinema. After requesting to speak with a manager was given the same answer.why? "That's our policy. "
So.as this was now the second time I'd taken my son to try and see the movie he'd been so excited to see, I didn't want to disappoint him again so had little choice but pay the full price for another two Lux tickets. The staff show zero care factor, were unapologetic and dismissive, to make matters worse, trying to speak to anyone on the phone to book tickets is virtually impossible. Really disappointing, worst service ever!
Website is absolute garbage - we were charged twice for 2 tickets and Hoyts wouldn't refund us. Do yourselves a favour and go to Village Cinemas at least they value their customers.
