Hoys Skis Harrietville

I recently encountered a bit of a hiccup with my skis during a skiing trip, but the exceptional service I received truly turned the situation around. Despite not having rented the skis from the establishment, the staff went above and beyond to help me out. They exhibited impressive customer service skills that made my experience memorable.

Upon arriving at the ski shop with my skis, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming attitude from the team. I explained the issues I was facing, and they listened attentively, demonstrating genuine concern for my situation. What truly stood out was their willingness to assist me even though I hadn't rented the skis from them initially.

I recommend Hoys in Harrietville, Hotham central and Jack Frost 100%. We always rent and buy from them. Service is excellent, We have had recently the most amazing experience where they demonstrate a level of professionalism and honesty totally unprecedented. Not good at all, I was rent the chains in there, and one of the guy who installed the wheel chain for me didn’t do properly and damaged my wheel and the plastic parts on chain ripped a bit.when I returned to the shop the man charged me $100 dollars without check my car.
Useless service.

Staff at Hoys were very polite and friendly, including the guys on the mountain assisting old people like us with chains.

Not even worth 1 star, the owner of the place is so racist, rude, ill mannered doesn’t know how to talk to customers.
Behaves like the world turns only around him.
Should get a training of customer service.and learn how to speak with people

Hats off to the guys and girls who do a great job to help the uninformed during ski season. The team are so informative and supportive during a crazy peak time, and we got some great advice that essentially would have saved us a lot of money if we did fit chains to a car that wouldn't have fit correctly. We needed solutions quickly and got the right advice. Thanks team!
Tip - Pre book and call for chains prior to just turning up.

Wonderful staff, excellent service and great gear! We were served by Bel who was extremely helpful, friendly and efficient in fitting out a group of 4 with everything we needed. Quality, new gear that was a breeze to use made our quick snow trip really enjoyable! Will absolutely be returning.

Friendly staff. Went their after 3 shops ran out of SUV chains and Wont buy chains from anywhere else again if going to mount hotham.
They have their own free chain fitting vans to help in chain fitting ares if required as well.

Thank you Hoys Harrietville! We were recently stranded in Harrietville because the taxi we booked (via Hotham Taxi) didn't show up. Thanks to the folks at Hoys Harrietville, who got us in touch with Snow Dog Tranport, we managed to get up to Mt Hotham.

The staff were clearly busy and run off their feet, but still took the time to help us. We didn't even spend any money with them!

I didn’t hire anything, but Joe made the visit worth it. 10/10 banter, and the outfit coordination was on point.

Super friendly and easy going, the team here were really helpful giving a run through on fitting the snow chains. Booking the chains was easy and hassle free so highly recommend dropping into Hoys for your snow equipment needs

Thank you to the lovely quaint lady Joe (short king w beard). We had a great time arguing about the correct pronunciation of my friend’s last name. Made a massive effort to coordinate our outfits. Would give 4.5 stars but not possible.

Great service for all the ski stuff, chains for vehicles. They also provide the personal to fix the chains close to the Mount Hotham.
Stuff available for all the age groups for protection.from cold and snow.

They don’t have chains for all types of cars, not even available to buy. Make sure you have chains BEFORE you go and give these guys a miss. They are literal gate keepers and will have you park there and taxi up

This is really good place to hire snow chain and other equipment before you driving up the mountain. They have people half way on the road to mt hotham help you to put on your chain with zero cost if you hire chains from hoys. Really helpful and very friendly!
