The staff were fantastic even though it was a very busy night. The food was great as usual

Very nice restaurant excellent service from the staff, amazing food (compliment’s to the kitchen) and quite large servings. Would really like to go there again.

This place has xenophobia. I was drinking for 3 hours. I was drinking outside. I wanted to go into the bathroom. They wouldn't let me in. I had to pay 15 dollars for the bathroom.

Had a great time here tonight! Food was awesome, came out super quickly, and the service we received from Ciaran was top notch. Friendly, attentive and courteous, thank you for everything!

Great alternate food menu, have a great range of vegetarian dishes as well

Good food in a nice atmosphere. Had the parma and was impressed but unfortunately didnt get to properly enjoy it. Would have been nice to be notified upon booking that it was comedy night as I was there to catch up with friends and we were seated in front of the microphone so we were unable to chat (and the comedy was genuinely bad). Will come back again, just maybe not on a Wednesday night upstairs.

The staff are friendly and certainly welcoming and the hotel Lona is a great spot for a post funeral celebration or a general spot to relax

The ambience is great and the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was nice but it's a bit expensive for Franga. Server forgot my cider, brought it over after being reminded.

Partner had a birthday lunch, the service that all staff whom we were in contact (staff from day shift and afternoon shift) was OUSTANDING. Management, were so accommodating. Great atmosphere great service overall customer service was first class.

Reading the reviews it was clear to me the hotel lona take the reviews seriously…
They food was delicious, large portions, I went back twice this weekend for the Parma. The service was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was to our expectations.
The top floor was a bit sticky after a busy weekend but that would be their only fault. We will definitely be back, the Lona has created some stiff competition for the area.

Decided to treat my daughter and I to lunch out today at Lona (and I wanted to check it out). Did not disappoint!
The staff were friendly and only to happy to help. The food was delicious, we have the pulled pork sliders and fish tacos
We also got wedges, which were good, however will will definitely be back for the truffles fries when the potatoes famine is over!
The décor is so fresh and fun, and I’m excited to visit the rooftop bar for its live music one night soon!

Nice new venue in the heart of Frankston with a great roof top terrace which could do with a bit more airflow.
Food is nice but a little pricey for the size. Calamaris were the winner for us!

Great joint to go too & the rooftop is an Awesome vibe. Thankyou to Liv for being super accomodating when I was unable to find a number to say I was running late and had to add a few more people on our booking. I know it can be annoying when customers are running late etc but Liv was super kind, accomodating and offered great service.
Only thing I would do would add a dj or music on the bottom of the stairs, so there isn’t a massive line to get upstairs past 8-9pm.
Besides that, great staff & great vibe!

Vibe was good for a Sunday evening, however:
The QR code on the table was the only ordering option, as the bar was closed but there is an additional fee charged with the QR code. And, the dessert took 45 minutes to come out, but definitely did not look like it took 45 minutes to prepare.
Would like to see this place do better in the future, it’s in a nice spot.

We had a fantastic afternoon, beautiful food. Laura looked after us sooooo well, her service was impeccable and her humour amazing!

My first time at Lona hotel and it’s been amazing! Laura who we had serving our drinks was such a beautiful lady! She had such a good rapport with all our group. She is friendly and one of the nicest girls I’ve met. Because of her she’s made out trip to Lona hotel unforgettable! Love it! Thankyou so much Laura & the Lona hotel.

Ordered nachos and the garlic bread. Both super average bordering on terrible. Everything else on a table of 8 people was also terrible. Sangria jug not bad and location pretty good. Chef needs a kick up the backside big time. Especially for the prices they are charging. Sort it out

Fantastic new hotel in Frankston its fresh, modern, beautifully styled and the staff were super friendly, plenty of icy cold tap beers there's multiple places to chill out including this superb rooftop bar area (see photos) its definitely become literally overnight my favourite spot to catch up with my daughter, my friends and band mates, well done to the ownersI'm giving it a big thumbs up and 5 its super impressive

Had a birthday lunch here for a friend and were very excited to try out for the first time.
I know that being freshly open for a few weeks, there may be a teething period.
I was definitely right with that.
The venue is very cool, chill.
The wait staff are great.

The food was pretty bad though.
Garlic bread is literally two slices of wonder white with some cheese on it and not cooked properly?

The poor younger girl at the bar was the only one making drinks on a Saturday at lunch and on a hot day.
Which meant people were waiting for a long time, the girl repeatedly had to just apologise.
It was strange though, there seemed to be a lot of people waiting on the table even though its via QR scan, so you order from your phone, but no one helping the girl behind the bar?

Also, the kitchen seriously need to something else happening because from our experience and all the other reviews I can see, the food is the biggest of problems.
Oh and don't bother ordering drinks from the QR scanner on your table, just go up to the bar. A friend had to wait 30 mins from her drink.
And the birthday girls drinks never came.
When we decided to do cake, they didn't have a proper cutting knife and never gave us small playes and spoons.
I might give them a few months to hopefully sort themselves out before I try again here.
