Hong Kong Best Food (Box Hill) reviews
37An error with their ordering system meant they made my order twice and then demanded I pay for it despite it being their error. Never coming back would not recommend this place to anyone
Been regular customer for this place for a year. A great place to grab some authentic HongKong foods. Highly recommend.
A store that I have collected for a long time. However, there are still a lot of people. The store is very clean and has a wide variety of food. Both Chinese and Western meals are available at reasonable prices. I ordered the signature pork chop rice. The sauce was very delicious and it was also the base of the fried rice. The service attitude of the store clerk should not be too good. Lemon tea and milk tea are also very authentic and delicious.
AUD$32 for 2 pax breakfast set. Beef steak too soft, toast butter lightly spread, satay beef noodles salty, yuan yang and almond milk tea so so. In general average taste. There was some egg shell in the omelette, told the staff and they replaced it with new. Clean & renovated with bright signage & new signboards.
A nice eatery place with a very extensive menu. We stuck with HK cafe food though the menu includes Malaysian cuisine such as BKT. The French toast was really spot on, think the best I’ve tasted. Other dishes as per pic were not bad. Have to say drinks were absolutely splendid. Next table ordered sweet and sour pork with rice and looked so good, something to order in our next visit.
Food is tasty and super nice staffs and dining environment. Kids finish everything Definitely come back next time.
The monster french toast with icecream was an interesting concept. Tasted good, kind of like deep fried tofu/donuts with peanut butter inside. The hot milk tea was good, strong tea taste. Maybe a bit strong for my liking. Overall OK.
I had a quick chow teatime meal not much of ambience though i ordered fresh off the wok stir fried black beans with slices of beef and flat rice noodles and finished off with my favorite ice milktea
Food is good but the only issue is things do get lost in translation! Take Chinese speaking friend with you!
If you had asked me to write a review 6 months ago, I would have given 5/5 stars everyday of the week; however, it seems the quality of food, and the service is unjustifiable given the price increases. I am always happy to pay increased prices given the current situation; however, charging customers more + making portions small + reduced service, it is unacceptable and a total let down. I would much rather pay a higher price and know what I am getting as opposed to paying $20 for a dish that has gotten smaller.
Did the scan to order and it was so convenient. Use this as it helps to prevent getting the incorrect dishes as it happened here before.
The foods came out very quickly
The customer service was alright, just gotta read what’s on the table if it’s your first time there because waitresses are very busy during lunch time.
Overall it was amazing, good foods and quick service. The lamb was very big but we wanted to eat everything and somehow managed to finish all.
It’s a good price compared with the size and location. Taste good specially the classic Hong Kong milk tea, definitely will go back again
Disgusting salty food. Cutlery are dirty. Staff are rude.
Highly not recommend. They are malaysian chinese, why called themselves Hong Kong Best Food? Weird.
I ordered my dish at 11: 10am, waited for one hour or more for my food to arrive. People who came and ordered after me had already received their food.
This is really really poor service.
Honestly not impressed at all. Food quality are below average and there are many good places to die for. We had no option but to choose this restaurant because of public, holiday
HK style 茶餐廳 in Box Hill. The HK style tea and coffee are probably the best in Melbourne, you can see the awards it displays.
Good value set breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
Quick turnover of tables and very fast service. Meals don't take long.
Not bad, not brilliant. But not something you'd avoid if hungry. The food was nice enough. I think the problem is that this isn't authentic Hong Kong style food as much as westernised Asian cuisine. I'd eat here again, just not take a friend I'm trying to impress.
Great food at a good price.
I have been here a few times and the lunch specials are always delicious. I would definitely recommend coming to try this place
Easily the worst dining experience I've had in Box Hill. The food was frozen with no flavor. Food came out mushy and barely hot
Great HK milk tea
Great value for the money
If you want a quick meal and misses HK food and the HK atmosphere, worth going there.
