Hola con lola

Can not recommend highly enough. Did the Paella course and we had an absolute ball with Lola and the class. Not only was the food amazing but Lola made sure everyone got to know each other and had a great time. Will be coming back to do all the other classes and can’t wait!

We had such a great time making paella and drinking sangria with Lola! She is so happy, fun and full of energy - highly recommend!

I can highly recommend NOT using this woman's services, she is very unprofessional and not to mention a total scam artist. I was charged more then double the quoted price just to be spoken to extremely disrespectfully and ignored without any trace of a refund. Please do not fall for the same trap!

I had the absolute best hens party hosted by Lola! She even bought us celebratory Prosecco and we learnt how to make yummy sangria, paella and tapas. Lola is so much fun and truly made my day unforgettable. All of my friends still reminisce on the day and how amazing Lola was. Thank you Lola!

Highly do not recommend paying for experiences with Lola, unrealistic cancellation policies. Extreme communication barrier. Be mindful before you put your payments down.

Lola offers the best experience - a personality to keep the whole group entertained and laughing, whilst also an impressive array of culinary skills to share and ensure everyone walks away with some great tips for the next feast. We were dressed really nicely as we had a hens - although she gave us aprons - she even offered to do the messy parts of the cooking to avoid us going to the cocktail bar. Really loved it. Thank you!

Lola was a dissapointment - she did not refund me or communicate with me, she cancelled the class on me and was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will be waiting for a refund.

ZERO is my review. She has failed consumer law and her own words - taken money and run off basically. Never tried to negotiate. We've lost money and have been offered nothing. Stay away, This has been happening a lot i am finding out and is still current just weeks ago has ripped people off. To be honest going to ACC and potentially the police. If you have had issues - please look at making complaints!

My gosh! I could not give praise any higher - Lola provides the most stunning introduction to who she is, why she loves what she does and the passion she has taking everyone into the market to all the cute stores is divine! She does not just explain but she teaches technique. It was the most incredible and inclusive cooking class I have ever been to. The food was sensational and it was amazing knowing where everything is sourced! Like the food, her class is 5 Star quality! It couldn’t have been a more enjoyable experience. Highly recommend! I learnt a new word in Spanish too, SU-CA-RRRRRRAT. I will be booking again!

My partner and I booked this experience for our anniversary, we didn’t get to celebrate during the last two months so being out of lockdown we were so eager to book and spend our Sunday trying something new and what seemed fun.
My partner got called to a work emergency, due to flooding the night before.
I tried to call call 3 times to advise someone of the situation as we wouldn’t make it in time. No answer just was directed to send an email.
I emailed Lola the cooking instructor that takes the paella and sangria cooking classes.
Mentioning the situation, Apologising and requesting to book for another week i did not want a refund, as we were sooo eager to participate in this exciting experience.
She replied “I’m sorry”.
She didn’t answer Any of my questions or acknowledge what I had to say.

In a time where things can be so uncertain and a lot of people from Melbourne are mealy traumatised from being in lockdown.we take a step towards hope and this is what happens.

Our company had a class with Lola - and suffice to say, it was the most fun, entertaining, engaging and meaningful team building exercises we’ve ever undertaken!
The entire team learnt, laughed and loved the experience.
We highly recommend her cooking classes (the food was supremely delicious), but moreover, we can’t say enough about how she imparts the joy of Spain and the love of travel, in all that she does.

Such a fun day cooking with Lola and Emma! Shopped for fresh produce at the markets, and the rest of the day was a blur of fun and fabulous food! Would recommend 100%!

Lola cancelled a class for me on the 9th of February 2021 because my girlfriend was unable attend due to surgery. It has been a month and, despite easily meeting her 48 hour cancellation policy, I am yet to be refunded $280. Most disturbingly, she has been evasive over texts and calls (see photos). This is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. I have never had such a poor experience as customer.

Lola was fabolous. She took you to the market to show you the ingredients she gets, as well as going through a really fun, interactive step by step instruction. The atmosphere of the class was also super awesome. Great Sunday morning activity!

Will be back for sure.

I can’t recommend Lola’s class enough. I just celebrated my bday and we had an amazing time. The food was fresh from the market, the sangria was very tasty and the class was very easy to follow. Lola and Santi were super friendly and easy going. We had a blast! Can’t wait to try Lola’s Peruvian classes and the pisco sour!

Had an absolute blast at today’s Spanish tapas and sangria cooking class. It’s all hands on! Lola is an incredibly enthusiastic excellent teacher. The food was amazing and everyone had a great time. Definitely going to go to the next cooking class. ️?

Today we drove two hours to use our Xmas present from the kids. It had been booked months ago and confirmed Friday via message. It had been booked outside the expiration date but my daughter had confirmed months ago with Lola that it would be fine and she would sort it out with Groupon. Friday lola starts texting my daughter stating she would need to sort our with Groupon as she was too busy. So my daughter rang Groupon only for them to tell her Lola needs to
Contact her agent at Groupon and sort it out. Mind you this was confirmed months ago. Lola was notified via text message that she needed to contact Groupon. Later that day my daughter received this message.
“Holaaaaaa! Can wait to see you this Sunday! @ 9: 45 am
We will meet 127 market st South Melbourne

We show up on time and Lola says we cannot do the class as she hasn’t rang Groupon as she was too busy. And she isn’t working for nothing. I asked how is this our problem this was confirmed months ago. She stated it’s not my problem and asked us to leave. My husband then asked to just pay for the class and she counted heads and said there was no room. She also stated it’s not her fault she is too busy.
She did not care that she had inconvenienced ourselves and overbooked. We had tried to book for months and couldn’t get in before the expiration so she scheduled us for today and confirmed via text. We wasted hours getting there, petrol and she just told us to leave.
It was such a terrible experience would not and could not recommend. Don’t know how we get our money back but she did not care.

We had a great afternoon at Lola's cooking class. Lola made it a lot of fun for everyone and we were lucky to have a great group of people who all got into the spirit of the class. Happy to recommend.
