Very busy on a Friday night. The service was excellent. The fish and chips was very good. Enjoyed by the family. Will definitely be returning back again!

Don't wanna give negative reviews to local shops at this hard time but this one is just.how could you not tell me about the 50¢ credit card surcharge before proceeding? This aside, the fried flake is ok.chips are the worst I have ever had in years.smells a bit like palm oil.patato cake has too much batter.

Don't like giving bad reviews to local businesses but this place wasn't great onion rings and dim Sims to burnt to eat and they left out some of the order which I can't remember ever happening with f n c before, in saying that I've only been there once maybe there someone new or something

The best in Melbourne by Far. Thats why they are always busy and have been here for many many years. Perfect always with an expected outcome on freshness, taste and quality.

Came across this place whilst walking in my new area last week, thought food would be amazing as seen quite a few people walking in and out.

Let me start with saying the service was good and the premises appear to be clean and in good order.

There is no bundle/meal deals all items must be bought separately. (quite annoying)

We ordered 2 pieces of flake with chips and 2 prawns. Fish came with no lemon or tartare sauce, the prawns were over cooked and the fish was okay. The only thing I really enjoyed were the chips.

Grew up living off of these fish and chips. Would highly recommend going here. The best flake in town.

I walked into the shop with a smile on my face, yet the older gentleman (presumably the owner) already looked disgruntled. I said hello, to which he didn't respond.

I looked at the menu, then asked to see how much chips you could get for $3.00. He rudely interrupted saying that the minimum was $3.50. I said "ok, well how much do I get for that? "

He then made a hand gesture trying to show how much. Overall, his stature and tone of his voice was rude, complacent and unprofessional. I told him I was leaving because he had a shitty attitude, then walked out.

If you're going to support small business, support good people. Not a guy like that.
