Hoffman's Road Fish & Chips

Absolutely disgraceful customer service, very disappointed i felt threatened and super uncomfortable while waiting.not on i hope they fix these issues but i will 100% not be back
food was jus soggy and salty, not something you want from a fish and chips shop

Lovely people. Its hard to find a good fish and chip shop these days. I am originally from NZ so i am fussy when it comes to fish.

I ordered a Hamburger & I wanted a small chips. They don't do a small chips for 1 person really? So you prefer someone who lives on there own to buy $5 worth & throw out the rest. That's really nice of you. THANK YOU.

It was very nice. I would have love to try the flake but wasn't going to get another loan out. I guess the fish and chip shops have all bumped up their prices unfortunately.

Nice fresh fish & yummy chips. Love the onion rings too. Not too expensive but would love if they offered packs instead of ordering everything individually.

Look no further for kind, genuine service matched with the most fresh and tasty Fish and Chips in the area. Everything is cooked to perfection and the staff are so warm and friendly. A must.

Made the decision to stray from our local on a fri night (in hindsight, should have chosen a quieter night). Customer service was friendly and was told 50 min wait time (also fine considering it was a fri night). What I wasnt expecting though was quite honestly the worst batter ever. It tasted old, rubbery, flavourless and very heavy/stodgy. The fish itself was lovely but completely ruined by this awful batter. Potato cakes also ruined by this horrible batter. I attempted to peel the batter off and just eat the centre but sadly realised that the potato centre was undercooked and was almost raw. Appreciate its was a fri night so very busy but definitely not returning. I should never have strayed from my local. Lesson learnt.

It's been afew months since we got fish n chips burgers etc.
We forget how good the food is at Hoffman's Rd Fish & Chips.
Wendy's phone skills are exceptional and excellent!
Definitely recommend, chips were so fresh, cooked to perfection, the burger were made exactly as requested.
The dim sims fried were crispy perfect.

Good service, good grilled fish, chips great, just don't get a hamburger. Meat was not edible.

Old school Fish n Chips - they way they all need to be. Just moved into the area and can’t believe I waited so long to try Hoffman Road Fish & Chips. Was clean, fresh and service was friendly and spot on. So glad I can call this my new FnC local.

An institution in Niddrie / Essendon, easily one of the best fish & chips going around! Owners are so so friendly and know all their customers by name.

Quality fish & chips, never greasy or oily. Quantity of chips per $ bought seems to be small but need to factor in they are thick cut. Never disappointed with Hoffman's Fish & Chips!

Note: this is a very busy fish & chip shop, sometimes so busy that the phone rings off the hook. When that happens, I just go and place an order in person.

Hoffmans Rd Fish & Chips - one of the best in Melbourne. The team behind the counter are always friendly and good for a chat about the footy - go bombers! It is an Essendon/Niddrie icon. I have been eating their F & Cs since the early 1960s (started young) up until I moved interstate 3 years ago - sorely missed. The business has been around since the mid 1950's and the quality has been ever so consistent. Plus it's right next door to the bottle shop. As Macarthur said - I will return.for your F & Cs.

I was a bit disappointed with Food, fish was dry probably overcooked, chips small and soft, and I specifically asked for crispy chips! But they have a quick service and open till late

First time customer and was ripped off!
Ordered over the phone, was told a price and charge more when picked up!
I wont be back!

Love Love Hoffman's Road Fish and Chips best place ever, and i've been to a few of them. It's a Husband and Wife run shop and they are the nicest couple, Hubbie does all of the cutting of the fish so you no it's fresh not frozen, i love a good dim sim and it's cooked to perfectiom and a good potato cake, chips are to much for me but they look so nice, could fit them in. Plus you don't get that greasy after taste. I live in Tullamarine and it's worth the drive. Plus there still hot when i get home.
