Hitoshi Sushi

I don't want to be a Karen but I ordered delivery from this shop and never got it. I like to believe that their food is amazing and it is NOT completely the restaurant's fault that it was not delivered. However, I did wait an hour, and when the order status became “order completed” I went to checked for my food and it was not there, never heard a knock or anything. Again, NOT exactly the restaurant's fault, but it is good to be careful of your delivery partners and know if they are reliable. It might also be a good idea for the restaurant to be in contact with their delivery driver more, to make sure that the food and the delivery process has no issues， especially because delivery customers don't really get to contact the drivers or the shop. Not sure if I would be brave enough to order from them again, but if given the chance, I would visit the restaurant in person.

Edit: Just want to say that I understand that the restaurant is a victim in this situation as well but there was no way for me to contact the driver. Hopefully either the platform or you guys can sort something out with the driver. I was just in a really bad mood because hunger = anger. /:

Use to be good. But just had rude service and the California rolls were disappointing and customer service was bad and rushing you to pick your order. Not coming back and I was a regular customer

An understated shop front, I didn't even know there was a restaurant in the back. Tried it for the first time after walking past it for years. The food was beautiful and very very tasty.

Bernard and family do a great job of the food they serve you, and love doing it, best bento box ever had.

The place is another not fussed asian restaurant, designed to simply feed you. Well they succeeded, the food was better than expected while being good value for money, place was clean, service was efficient.

One of the best Japanese restaurants around! I've eaten in-store a few times and I order dinner quite a lot from them on uber eats. The quality is ALWAYS consistent, I don't think I've ever had an order go wrong. Really tasty food with good portions and it's prepared pretty quickly as well. If you order on uber eats they will often give you some free soft drink if you spend $20 which is really generous! Their packaging is really good too, it keeps all the heat in the food. The environment in the actual restaraunt is nice and casual and the staff are so lovely, always friendly and smiling! Highly recommend:)

This is the best Japanese place to eat hands down! I’ve never been this consistently happy with Japanese in my life. The sushi is fresh and perfect, the Bento Box variety is insane and the meals are perfect as well. These guys are a gift from God. Thank you ️

I love food from Hitoshi Sushi. It's delicious. Especially #34 Katsu Don Curry.
Excellent value too.

My family love the bento boxes while Teriyaki chicken is my fave at the moment. Lovely place, friendly people.

Hitoshi's is a classic favourite with the family, it's always a good meal from either takeout/dine in with their meals with bento boxes been the main choice especially since they have many varieties. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious, a great place to go if you are after Japanese for lunch or dinner

Fresh and friendly. They have a great range of sushi and inari as well as some great Japanese groceries. Even seaweed for salad at home. The cafe section to eat in is lovely and cosy.

I've been coming here for 15+ years and it's still my favourite sushi place. Nicest hand rolls I've found in Melbourne. They do a mean Bento box too. 10/10

We ordered ubereats from Hitoshi Sushi as I was craving for ramen and my two friends ordered separate bentos. This is my first experience with their store.

First of all, we were very impressed with the variety of choices on the menu! But next, we were astounded by the portions! I definitely wasn’t expecting that many chicken strips on my ramen. I was also very happy to see lots of vegetables in my ramen (I know it’s not common) but I wanted a balanced meal so it was perfect!

Needless to say, there were lots of leftovers for the next day. We are also very grateful for the 2 free Softdrinks they gave us. Thank you very much Hitoshi Sushi! You made our takeaway dinner (and next day’s lunch) very special and we will definitely come back for more!

I ordered a chirashi rice bowl, deluxe sushi A and deluxe sushi B (takeaway). I was hoping to support my local Japanese restaurant however I was left disappointed as the raw fish (salmon and tuna) in the chirashi bowl was mushy. Felt like it was left out for all day. I did not feel very good after eating the half the bowl and I ended up throwing the rest in the bin.

I am leaving this review not to tarnish the business name but I am hoping that the business owner are aware of the quality of their food.

Not only is it great consistent sushi, with much bigger rolls than chain sushi restaurants, but they now are an amazing little Japanese supermarket. So if you need to find a Dashi broth or Japanese pickle the local sushi joint is your best place to check.

It's not 5 star gourmet, but it is absolutely 5 star local joint.

I love this no-frills joint - it's got all what you want from a takeaway - cheap & tasty food, and big portions. Love the fried rice and teriyaki chicken with veggies.

You kidding me this place is allowed to open for business? If you can't cook rice you're doomed.this place can't! The worst Japanese around the area if not Victoria. I can't really tell you but everything about this place is a no go. I am as honest as it gets when it comes to food, I believe we should share an honest opinion to forewarn people of places like this. Needs to be shut down!

Wouldn't order again, curry was the worst I've ever had, didn't even taste like a Japanese Curry, had no flavour. Should of just had toast and a cuppa tea for dinner and saved my money. Would give zero stars if had choice.

The only problem with this store is the fact that it's next to head office and not my lab. That being said, it's worth the drive for the food. Bento box J, love it

Fairly good food especially their bento box options. The portions are quite generous and reasonably priced too. Quite tasty too.

Their sushis seem to turn over fairly quickly and are usually fresh. Sometimes you may end up getting sushis fresh off the rolling mat.

Service is friendly and quickly too.

They have some seating available but not the best. I usually take away.
