Highett Charcoal Chicken

My first time trying out this venue. Tried the lamb souvlaki today and the flavour was very nice. Unfortunately the lamb was tough and had alot of gristle so couldn't eat most of the lamb in the meal.

Delicious and I crave the food. It's a top choice on the occasion I'm in the area. It costs more than I budget for but is worth it.

Friendly staff, solid tasting chicken and souvas, with
a fresh variety of salads to add on. These guys always pile on the chips which is great. Head here pretty regularly.

Best quarter chicken and scalloped potatoes I've had from a takeaway chicken shop yet. The scalloped potatoes were amazing. Thought they definitely deserved a mention after that meal.

Called into Highett Charcoal Chicken Restaurant yesterday because we are new to the area on arrival at the cafe. The presentation of the shop is Outstanding clean and tidy then we could see the food in the buffet it was unbelievable you had a variety of Charcoal Chicken, Variety salads, Such as Greek salad Potato salad, Macaroni Salad, Seafood Salad, Coleslaw Salad, just to name a few.
Sandwiches for you made to order.
Hamburgers made to suit you specially the chicken burgers.

I personally would like to recommend Highett Charcoal Chicken to everyone, And Food was outstanding I would like to thank the Owners and Team, for there excellent customer service.

Ordered through menulog. HSP said it would come with garlic sauce and chilli sauce yet it came with neither. Chips were soggy and undercooked. Overall a total disappointment.

Came in the other week, paid decent money and I was still hungry. Found a piece of hair in the chips on top of that. Can't say I was happy. I was better off going to the Woolies across the road getting a whole chicken for half of what I paid for at this joint. Absolute gypos, skimping on the servings. Gone are the days when Charcoal chicken shops used to over load the big old Styrofoam boxes with chips and chicken and then watch the staff struggle to close it. Now I know why no one goes to these local joints anymore.

Nick's Chicken slips right off the bone! Nick and the fellow employees also have such a friendly demeanour. Along with the juicy chicken my personal favourite is the lamb souvlaki, I highly reccomend it and will definitley be back soon.

Great tasting food. Had a Lamb Gyro and small chips. Dunno if it was a small cause it was massive. Large range of salads. Only thing was that I thought it was a little on the pricey side for a Charcoal Chicken joint. $17 was. Little steep but other than that, a great place for lunch or dinner.

The 2 young ladies behind the counter were professional friendly and polite, in no time at all my food was ready. I will definitely be going back the whole family really enjoyed the food which was fresh and beautifully cooked

Under new management, meals were awesome, chicken was so tender and moist. Business was also spotlessly clean, so much better than the previous owners. No hesitation at all in recommending this eatery.
