Nice seating area, friendly staff - One of the best Meat Pies that I have had with Great Coffee

Nice bakery but a bit pricey. Had breakfast there and food was very tasty however I requested fried eggs and received poached, not a big deal but would have rathered what I had ordered given the price of the food. Still a very nice place though.

Food was very tasty.
Staff were very pleasant.
It was lovely to be able to sit down and have something to eat in a lovely atmosphere.
Had to buy something yummy to take.

Large range of bakery foods, the line to order is a bit odd, COVID dots all over the place. The pie was nice for a country bakery. Friendly service.

Food was very good but staff needed to clear the tables quicker than they were. Customers shouldn't have to clear a table before they sat down.

They have a great selection from fresh healthy sandwiches/bagels/etc, as well as pies/sausage rolls and typical bakery items. ALL of which we have tried, we loved.
Can be busy but they usually have enough staff to get through the lunch rush fairly quickly.

12: 30 lunch time and have run of eggs, but couldn't walk 2 minutes to Woolies Supermarlet. Poor Management

Was alright friendly staff and the fresh breads and salad rolls they were making looked delish I just picked something else

Have been here a few times in this week. Tried the beef and black pepper pie and and the chicken, leek, bacon and potato pie both were really nice. The staff are also fantastic, no matter how busy it gets always have a smile. Highly recommend a visit

Kind people, good food. Unfortunately they didn't share the WiFi despite the fact I could see there were two networks with the name of the bakery.

I might have just come at a bad time (Sunday after Australia day long weekend) but I was underwhelmed. Reviews painted the picture if a great place but it was slow, uncleaned (tables not bussed), under staffed, limited offering and over priced.

Great curry pie, a fresh coffee scroll and coffee. All recommended. Efficient service even though very busy. Thanks

Prices have risen product is smaller I will try alternative similar shops next time I visit benalla

When the lunch time bell rings out in the township of Benalla and the appetite demands attention Hides Bakery is always my go to destination. Hides is an indulgence of beautifully baked breads, cakes, pastries, pies, fresh made sandwiches, rolls, foccacias and superb coffee. Steeped in history it saddens me to see the effect of covid19 restrictions on this longstanding business. The Staff are terrific and they provide wonderful customer service that will no doubt endure these difficult times. The Hide Family tribute wall in the dinning area of the Bakery is something special and well worth an observation not only to reminisce but also pay respect and honour the legacy of the Families wartime sacrifices and their significant contribution to the Benalla community. We will continue to return.

They made me a lovely decaf lactose free latte, it was delicious and no trouble for them to do.

A must when wanting a good cuppa and a bite to eat. Fabulous food, great service, friendly and very clean.

Lukewarm coffee. Over charged for breakfast, which we never received. When we asked for our money back we got a curt 'sorry about that'.

Had a yummy Panini and great mug of coffee. Quick stop on trip from Yarrawonga to Melbourne. We'll be back.

Great breakfast stop and we were delighted that they had some gluten free bread so my wife could have one of the breakfasts.
