A wonderful spot to stop along the Hume for lunch. We got our food take away and headed to a local park.

A great Bakery to stop for lunch on the way to Albury.
Their salad sandwiches are full of everything you should have on fresh bread.
Our other reason to stop is their chocolate milkshakes. You get the full size shake not like the expensive half size Melbourne ones.

My husband and I visit Hides Bakery whenever we are in Benalla. Being born in Benalla (although now living in Melbourne) we like to support the local town. We love the pies and pasties. The Bakery has a number of different breads cakes and buns.
It's worth a visit for coffee and a pie or pastie with sauce.

I brought a plain meat pie today. I was really enjoying it until I bit into it something long with a strange texture. I pulled it out of my mouth and it looked like a feather or something similar. I couldn't quite tell what it was. You may wonder then, why would I give them a 4 star? We'll, I went and showed one of the staff members what had come out of the pie. I was very impressed with their response. Straight away without a complaint or argument, thanked me for letting them know and gave me another meat pie plus a refund. All I wanted to do was make them aware of what had happened. Due to this I will be returning to Hides Bakery. You're customer service was 5 star

Extraordinary prompt, friendly service. Best soy latte I've had for years. Raisin toast good old fashioned thick sliced as it should be and served with Tatura butter!
Wife had excellent flatwhite coffee and delectable mince slice.
Apple cake the perfect complement to latte.
Well done staff and management.
Highly recommend this Bakery as essential stop.

Very over priced. $17.40 for an apple cake which was 80% pastry. Two very small neenish tarts which were really nice but still overpriced. Disappointed. Should display prices.

Very nice Cafe/bakery. Great food choices including vegetarian and vegan options. Customer service was very nice and accommodating.

(Update, staff are more interested in cleaning and doing other jobs then serving the huge line of people going out the door at 1pm. Not the first time this has happened it's about the 5th time I've witnessed this. Maybe stay open till 3: 00 instead of closing at 2pm. Still an amazing bakery dont get me wrong best in town)

Just popped in to get Salad rolls and coffee scrolls for an afternoon picnic very yummy! The staff are really nice too.

Dropped in many times and never had anything bad.

The kids servicing are happy and really helpful - well done to the person hiring and training them!

Can't show any photos because we couldn't wait to eat our lunch. Yum, Yummy, Yummiest. We had Focaccias filled to the brim of fresh fillings. Good coffee & quality old fashioned cakes, buns & biscuits as good as my Gran use to make. Next time hot pies.

Amazing pies prib one of the best quality.pies, pasties, sausage rolls and pastries all devine.we usually look for a bakery when we go to towns.if your in the benalla region do yourself a favour go.it was that good pyt it in oyr gps as a favoyrite next time wego up that way

Cute and cosy bakery with extremely friendly and polite staff! The sandwiches here are delicious.

Only complain is that whenever I feel like getting a vegan pastry there's never any available whether its morning or just before lunch. So, I hope they'll have enough vegan pastries available for customers at all times because nothing bums you out more than finding out that the vegan options are over!
