Hepburn Springs Brewing Co. reviews
44Get place, really good beer, I mean really good. They do have food platters available. The brewer is on site and willing to tell you everything you want to know about the process and beer styles. Well worth the visit!
Really nice family run place. Dog friendly and quite a quirky place. Little rooms and interior seating for the typical Victorian weather. Also has a cool shop.
Beers are pretty good as well, obviously. I liked the Cream Ale. That's my pick. Check it out if you're in the area. They are great people.
I have been here twice over the past four months and stayed at their accommodation next door.
The accommodation is clean, nicely furnished with very comfy beds, has a beautiful outlook and if you love birds, you won't be disappointed.
The brewery is excellent for chilling out and has a great selection for paddles (beer, gin, spirits). Also, the Three Cheeses and Meats platter is a must.
Lastly, a lot of the items in the rooms and brewery are available to purchase. I nearly purchased everything.
Thanks Helen and Nick. We'll be back.
A weekend trip from Melbourne saw the family and I stumble upon this beautiful little brewery nestled in a stunning hillside landscape not far from the main part of town.
We called to book ahead, and thankfully we did, as it was slightly busy with people leisurely drinking beer paddles out on the deck to a cute little electronic fireplace, and some more people inside drinking in the warmth of the bar and comfortable seats.
You're given the option to choose from roughly 16 beers in which you'll get 4 in the paddle. I definitely recommend speaking to the owners when selecting if you're unsure, as they'll help you decide based on your likes/dislikes to make sure you get the most out of your drinks.
If you're a seasoned drinker, I'd say absolutely choose at random, as we discovered some amazing beers that we ended up going home with.
If beer isn't really your style, you also get the option of a Gin tasting paddle which is equally as delicious! But there are also other drinks as well.
Cheese and dip platters are also available which compliment the tasting nicely.
If you get the chance, I seriously recommend checking out this place as the beer, views, people and food were exceptional.
Best place for chill out in the afternoon after lunch. All staff are friendly. All beverage are really nice. Will come back again.
The best micro brewery I visited in Australia. All their beers are next level. The Hefen Weizen the best I tasted in Australia. And what a great hosts. I can only say. I'll be back. Thank you for an amazing afternoon
Our second visit to Hepburn Springs Brewing Co.and it was as good as the first. Never have I been to a brewery where I've enjoyed the entire selection, until visiting here. If you're missing Germany and Belgium, do yourself a favour and visit. We experienced world class beer and service in a gezellig venue - which steps away from the style of your traditional Australian brewery. Thanks for having us. Can't wait to visit again!
Really nice beers and wonderful service. Felt very loved and looked after here. Will definitely come back
Great atmosphere, and even better beers! The ginger beer was my favourite. They also do takeaway beers. The service was very friendly and toilets impeccably clean. The food options are a cheese board or dips.
Quirky place in a great way. Beers are easy drinking and the hosts are very friendly. This one is a recommend
Amazing place! Came with my partner and we were lucky enough to get a small room all to ourselves. The staff were very friendly and accommodating! My partner enjoyed taste testing the beers and I very much enjoyed the cheese platter and white wine! Will definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone!
It's not really what you'd expect of a brewery, the inside looks more like a cute cafe with different little rooms and armchairs.
Beers themselves were. Honestly awful, if you're into beer, you will hate this place. The porter was very pale and flavoured with syrup, the stout was just, not a stout and the honey ale was sickenly sweet.
The pale ale was passable and the "award winning pilsner", was just a bit blah.
We were also told on arrival that they couldn't handle 7 people? And it was just too much and then while we were there they put up a sign saying "sorry we're full" there were like 10 people inside.
If you like cutesy cafes with syrupy beer, then this is the place to book. If you like good beer and a classic brewery atmosphere, just don't bother.
There were 4 of us booked in for a few beers on a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon. We had a nice spot under cover out the front with some delicious tasting paddles. The owner's Helen & Nick were lovely and passionate about their craft. Great beers, good set up and excellent hospitality - def recommend.
Lovely place! The owners/staff very friendly. A MUST experience, trying local brewing. Highly recommended! Now I understand why they won the Indies good medal
Dog and people friendly had a lovely afternoon here. Nice beers and they put together a plate of allergy friendly food for us.
What a great way to spend the afternoon - sitting on the deck, amongst the trees, tasting beers, listening to the wildlife!
Great beer, excellent service. The staff could not have been more friendly. A great place to spend an hour or two. Will definitely come again.
Won a national award for Pilsner 2020.get in there.great beer. Decking is lovely for a nice day. Cheese platter was lovely.
Great local brewery with lovely hosts. The beers are made on the premises in small batches. What a great place to come and have a drink either inside or out, and very kid friendly. Thanks Nick!
Fantastic place to spend time when visiting Daylesford. Helen and Nick were brilliant hosts and very accommodating to our group of 11. On a nice sunny day you could do a lot worse than relaxing on the front decking under shade with delicious food and drinks. Would definitely return to sample more from their extensive menu! Irish Red Ale was my personal fave. Also the strawberry G&Ts were a hit with the group.
