Heartscope Victoria reviews
25This review is for the receptionist (didn’t get her name) and radiographer Nelly who showed compassion and understanding today to insure my 1 hour drive was not wasted due to someone else’s miscommunication
Don't waste your time and money here! After my sleep test they sent a letter to my GP strongly recommending that I should see a sleep specialist at Hearthscope. After waiting months to do the sleep test and 4 months waiting for the specialist appointment, the specialist told me that i did not need to see her, i should have gone to an ENT specialist. And they still did not hesitate to charge me for the appointment. I delayed my health condition months because of Heartscope. Don't recomment at all to anyone.
From start at reception, to the lungs test function it went really smoothly.
Pam done the test and before she made sure I understood the steps and the test was done quick and effective. Highly recommended
Having scheduled a day off in advance and waited nearly a month for my appointment, I was disheartened to learn the day before that it had been canceled, adding to my frustration.
From starting with the wonderful Receptionists, thru to nurses, technicians, specialists, Staff are so friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful. One of the few medical establishments where there are minimal delays.
Very happy with my visit to Heartscope. Pam was soo patient and cardiologist and Ann was very skilful and obliging.
HeartScope offer a poor patient experience. Here are some reasons why:
1. Unnecessary appointments that a setup just for billing reasons. Heartscope make money by billing. Their business model is setup around this. They make many unnecessary appointments that could easily be handed over the phone in order to collect money from their patients. I had a 5 minute consult and I was billed $220.00 for something that could have been done over the phone.
2. Patient Care. To get an appointment I had to wait over 3 months as they did not have any times to book in. During this time, I have been suffering with symptoms that could have been alleviated with an earlier consult over the phone. As their practice does not allow that, nor did they offer me an alternate referral I had been made to suffer for longer in order for them to have a stream of bills come in.
3. Consult was short. Only 3 minutes without even looking at me. I felt like cattle.
4. Consult was 45 minutes late without an apology. It was her first of the day and she was late to work. No reason was given, and the staff had to call her just to make sure she was coming. She did not care about my time only hers.
5. Many times when I needed to call heartscope no one picked up. The call would just ring out.
6. Their processes where never explained to me clearly. I was having to clarify things with them all the time.
7. No online portal. They have no online presence allowing me to interact with them.
8. The presentation of their waiting rooms is uncomfortable and cramped. No attention has been paid to patient comfort especially for the elderly.
9. Administration was disorganized. The specialist could not find the right stationary or operate her printer. Front desk staff did not have documents that where required, and my referral was not printed on the correct paper, nor did it contain the correct details.
10. At no point was I asked any questions about anything related to my own experience. It was in then out then pay the bill.
All in all, it's been a horrid experience and I'd recommend avoiding if possible.
A dreadful experience all around. A silly little lady who did the lung function test who accused me of not trying. Failure to send test results to my GP. Ancient equipment used for the sleep study with simply not believable results. The unfortunate engagement of Dr Peter Spencer who reported me to Vicroads for what he diagnosed on the flimiest of basis as severe central sleep apnoea. This was done after I refused to see him again and on the facts for pure malice. His malicious persona is consistent with the fact he has now been investigated for the suspicious death of his wife who had her throat slashed by him. Google his name. A shocking and disorganised practice.
I had an appointment at 4.15pm and I was contacted by Heartscope to tell me my appointment was cancelled because the person doing it had to go home, I find this very upsetting because I was waiting a month for this appointment, I drove all the way from Warrnambool to make this appointment but she rang me 2 hours before to try and cancel it, I am a care giver to a relative that lives in Warrnambool, I don't know this persons problems and they don't know my problems but it's very frustrating because they rang me back to tell me that it was OK I can still keep my appointment, wow make up your mind!
I was actually fearful of attending my appointment for a lung function test as I had read negative reviews on here. However, my experience from front desk, including wait time and ease of administrative procedures was a pleasure. Friendly and professional team in admin.
As for the lovely young lady who performed my test (I specifically asked for her name and have now completely forgotten it, apologies) she was a delight to work with. She was so caring and explained procedure in an easy, patient and effective way. Thank you so very much to all the team at Heartscope!
I contacted Healthscope Thomastown to make an appointment for a procedure. Daniella at Healthscope help me so much. I was able to get an appointment the same day. When I arrived, i was greeted very warmly and I didn’t have to wait. All the staff at Healthscope were extremely friendly.
Wonderful experience every time we have visited.
The front desk staff are amazing and really helpful.
They take the time and will not leave a stone unturned to help us.
Keep up the great work.
I had a very professional experience with Heartscope. I was given an appointment in a timely manner. The staff there were all very helpful and accomodating. Would definitely recommend them.
Highly recommend their service and specially the Dr Dimuth De silva that how he address the patient and the kindness he gave towards the patient is high quality and really good. Thanks for the quality service you all offer.
Receptionists were lovely. The lung function technician Ala or Hala made me feel uncomfortable. Kept asking me to inhale more but I physically couldn't, that's the reason I went there in the first place. She could've been more polite and reassuring because relaxed patients yield better results, that's well known. She also gave a judgy look when I asked about one part of the test, only because I'm a medical professional and was curious, which was also disappointing. Hopefully just a bad day.
Whether travelling north or south in High St you really have to look out for the signage for Heartscope's property. Use the ring road overpass as a landmark. When you spot that you're very close!
Poor Service. My appointment was changed from 3.30pm to 4.15pm. I was called twice to confirm that I should be there at 3.30pm. I attended at 3.30 pm but wasn’t seen til 4.15pm. The clinician who saw me said she had my booking down for 4.15pm and was never told that it had been changed to 3.30pm. Then she said that nobody should have been booked for 3.30 pm or 4.15pm because it was a training day. When I explained this to the receptionist, the receptionist said “No.it was because there were technical issues with the machines. ” Then she went on to say, “ Maybe if you hadn’t gone to the bathroom, you would have been called sooner. ” Poorly organised and poor communication. Total disrespect for the patient.
Your telephone operators speak very quick giving me more stress trying to keep up with their speedy words.so.they can meet their call que.
I thought Heart scope should calm.the heart not race the heart by speedy operators.
The worst experience I've ever had with Dr Ali Al Fayadh. First they were in a rush I did not get the proper information about my stress test. When it was done he only said you're all good to go i asked if he could give me more information about what was going? He didn't let me know anything just quick talk and I had to leave after. It was feeling like I was talking to someone in a rush on a train station not a doctor.
I highly don't recommend him to anyone only for those who are in a rush like him maybe.
Well, my bad experience was about the car park, they have two sections of the car park, one for staff, and the other supposed to be for patients, but unfortunately some of their staff park there, I have been there three times and saw staff take patients spots, one day I was trying to turn my car as I saw one spot available, but an Asian guy with blue uniform came from the other side and took that spot, he didn't care and impolite thing to do. It is better to try some other location than this one.
