Heartattack and Vine reviews
57Enjoyed the ambience and the wine, the sandwiches were bloody good.recommend the Porchetta and slow cooked beef special
Awesome selection of alcoholic beverages. I was keen on perusing their beer collection and found some pretty exotic beers that you just aren't going to find at Liquorland or even Dan Murphies. When I got stumped due to the massive range, the helpful guy working there gave me some suggestions.
Amazing vibe and the bartenders were awesome, they were so friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go again.
Delicious small dishes that change all the time to choose from. 30$ per person should be enough for dinner (food only).
Unique flavours in food and cocktails make it one of our favourite places to come and celebrate something, or just have fun.
The croissants here are made with some sort of delicious magic, coffees are excellent and good selection of sandwiches
The staff member that served me was great but the pork roll was average on the day not worth the price tag
Really nice staff that actually seem to care.
Great area.
Fine pricing.
Get on down.
I really enjoyed the coffee and the signature pork roll. But really disappointed about the service, I ordered food and two cups of coffee for take away today. After I got the coffee, I asked the waitress if she could give me a tray to carry. She said yes impatiently, and told me I should’ve told them when I was ordering.
Excellent coffee, wonderfully executed menu. A perfect meeting spot in the heart of Carlton, or study spot. With takeout currently, the lovely team are out there daily being so kind to the local community and serving terrific food, drinks and coffee to go. Highly recommend.
Lovely small cafe in Carlton. Really enjoyed the cosiness, atmosphere and the warmth of the staff. Wonderful place to catch up with a friend for coffee. Loved my chai latte and almond scone.
I am very disappointed! The customer service is terrible. The waitress very aggressive and rude.
The best coffee on the block. Love this place I visit here everytime I come across from New Zealand
Ordered two coffees before getting on a bus and i never received them, took 25 minutes, i understand that it was busy but surely you're used to it being in such an area. Maybe two people on one machine? That's what my workplace does and we smash coffees out in minutes. Not good, didn't even end up getting my coffee
Overall food is mediocre, coffee is good and staff are inconsistent (ranging from polite to totally unpleasant). Hot chocolates are very good but $5.80 - for a hot chocolate this price is unbelievable. Have gotten the falafel roll which was big, but lacking in flavour and very dry as there was too much thick falafel with little sauce. The staff at Heart Attack are sometimes nice, but for as many nice team members there are unpleasant ones. Some will never smile or greet appropriately (i.e. Ask how are you), while some staff are blatantly rude. When ordering, sometimes it feels like you have done something to offend the staff and that by serving you, you are inconveniencing them. When I dined in once, I changed my mind about ordering a coffee when my partner received his and asked if I could have the same. The waiters reply was that "I asked before if you wanted something and you said you had already ordered". He made this out to be an issue when I had simply changed my mind, and his condescension ruined our experience to be frank. Food needs refining and staff need to be taught how to engage in polite conversation without the arrogance.
Great place, friendly staff, great coffee, good food. Nice central location with big outdoor area out front. Inside is dim and intimate too.
I've been a regular customer of this cafe for years. So it was so delightful to know it has survived through the pandemic. But the customer service we got today was awful.
The staff who ordered for us was very ignorant through the hour we were there. She never smiles and put drinks on everyone's table rudely — the coffee almost split out as she dropped the cup on the table. When we said 'thank you' to her, she just gave us a look and walked away.
As someone who had worked in hospitality years ago, I understand there might be bad days at work. However, I guess it is still better to show some basic respect when your customers respect you and your work.
*It was only one particular staff was rude. The rest of them were very nice.
I got a take away falafal roll, it was absolutely delicious. It is mostly a classy wine bar style kinda a place. Food and wine are delicious. Recommended for both takeaway food and coffee if you want something on the go at lunch time or sit in sipping wine and enjoying delicious food with someone special.
Come for an amazing breakfast sandwich. Stay for another amazing breakfast sandwich. I did not take a photo of mine because it was so delicious that I ate it instantly.
Fabulous venue.excellent staff create a great vibe, wonderful wine and cocktails combined with amazing food.
We had an awful experience here. I've never left review but the staff who had blonde hair made me feel like I have to write something. I read through reviews about this restaurant and found someone who had a same thought like ours as well. As a person who also works in the hospitality industry, I do not understand the staff who served us. When we ordered coffee and food, she didn't even respond and snatched the menu and walked away. When she brought them, she never smiled, never talked, just put coffee and food on our table in a very rude and arrogant way. We never got annoyed at restaurants even in New York where sassy people work. But she nailed it. We chose to go there because it seemed cool. But maybe she thought she was way too cool to work there. Then honey. You should find another job. I also have good days and bad days at work but I've never showed my own feeling towards my customers because they come to get a good service. She wasn't there for volunteering. We never would go back there but just want to say if you decided to work there, please be responsible.
