Heart of Hall - Cooking School & Cafe reviews
38Love this place. Went there with my parents and cousin for lunch. Great coffee and cakes, foods yummy as well. Will definitely be back
Very impressed, decent sized large coffee and the meals were not only generous in proportions the quality and presentation was close to outstanding!
Definitely going back for more.
Heart of hall is a pretty funky joint (but like funky in a good way).
The barista/owner Jack is a absolute stud muffin.
He not only has the best coffee, he also has my heart.
Went there first time today, food was exceptional, we had the eggs benedict and waffles and both were stand outs. Coffee was great and they do lactose free.
Friendly staff. Good COVID-19 social distancing of tables. Tasty lunch menu with good range of meals. Prompt service. Reasonable prices.
Got it all at the Hall. Very good coffee including the decaf (I had both), delicious cabinet food made on site, very lovely super helpful staff, good music layer and some cool kitchen merch. Highly recommended
Great breaky food right across the road from Newport station. I'm sure in a future years this area will have far more cafes to choose from, as the area is changing.
Heart of hall owners have established both a superb and admirable with a lovely quiet and cozy element that complements it beautifully they have the confections of the highest qualities and nourishing wholesome food and they host quite exceptional cooking classes this new local cafe will take the community by storm I would give it six stars if I could major shout out to the owners for inviting this cafe of happiness and laughter into our community
I basically stumbled upon Heart of Hall with absolutely no expectations and when walked in it was an amazing space with music (liked and not too loud), foodie delights, variety of different seating places to enjoy doing coffee or foods also what impressed me noticed people be they business person's in kinda negotiation, older & younger & anybody doing their thing... It was my first discovery H of H and only ordered takeaway capp And really appreciate the barrister for acknowledging me as he announced my order yep helped my day him saying "Have a great day"... Kinda thought he knew I'd never been in before But I'll be back!
Wow what an amazing EOFYS function we had at Heart of Hall.
Corporate cooking class for 15 of our staff and everyone enjoyed it so much. Thank you Stacey and Conor for walking us through pasta making. Highly recommend for a staff team building event.
Great coffee and excellent venue to work from. Good service. Try the muffins they are definitely worth it.
The decor in the cafe also a winner.
I attended the Asian Fusion class last Saturday on my own and was pleasantly surprised at how welcoming the atmosphere was. Great class, great food shared with people with a love of food.
Been to this cafe a couple times since Birds of a feather closed. The place has great potential but a couple of things are hit and miss. Staff need to decide if they offer table service or not. Ive had to wait for service after going to the counter to ask if table service is offered. The coffee can be good some days and bad others. Food on the other hand is great, something they are really good at and it shows. More emphasis on customer service would be really beneficial for the suburban coffee shop.
Unfortunately they were closing when I got there - so had to have my coffee to go. Looked great, lovely aroma from the fresh bread. Definitely need to go back and sample the food. The coffee was good!
I attended the cheese making class yesterday, it was wonderful! I never knew how easy it would be to make artisan cheese. Excellent tutor, gracious hostess’s I definitely will be back for more.
Thank you very much:)
I recently attended a dumplings class and thoroughly enjoyed it. Chef Kate was knowledgable, approachable and easy to follow, while Stacey was a gracious host and the atmosphere was friendly and supportive. Best of all, the dumplings were delicious and I left feeling well able to make them at home. Many thanks; I WILL be back. Liz.
I really really enjoyed the Introduction to Fermentation class. Will definitely come again. Nicole is a generous host and Briony was a very knowledgeable teacher.
