Heart of Hall - Cooking School & Cafe

This quietly unassuming establishment is a true hidden gem. We just can’t get enough of the chilli scramble for breakfast. It’s sublime! Much better than its local competition. Their coffee is also superb as it is not scorched - just a perfect drinking temperature. We will be back again and again.

Friendly staff. Good COVID-19 social distancing of tables. Tasty lunch menu with good range of meals. Interesting flavour combinations are a highlight. Prompt service. Reasonable prices.

The food there was really good specially the brownies that are made there and the staffs are really friendly. The vibe there is so relaxing and peaceful loved it.

Stumbled across this hidden gem tucked in next to the Junction Hotel as they were setting up in the morning. Instantly met with beautiful atmosphere and a sense of calm when walking in, the guys we're super friendly and happy to make a coffee prior to opening up for the day. I only stopped in for an almond latte, which was smoothe and the perfect temp, but I will be back for brunch and one of their cooking classes for sure!

Great value and delicious coffee. The new owners are just as lovely as the old ones. Food is great and you can always get a table. Highly recommend

Grabbed an Angus Burger as take-away during a busy Saturday. For me it is a sufficiently satisfying, quality meal; cost about $21 and card only payments. There are other temptations in store, like sweet and savoury muffins, but with the burger and chips I was satiated. Will be back.

The cooking classes are fun and great way to learn, share and mingle before feasting on the groups efforts at a dining table. We did the Italian/pasta making session. Food was delicious and well guided by Seb on his first day. Definitely recommended. Up to 12 people.

Best coffee in the area. Food is great and the portions are bigger and tastier than the other joint down the road.

Friend ordered the Zaatar Breakfast which she enjoyed after she pointed out that they had forgotten the 2 poached eggs.

I got the Chilli Scramble with Chilli Jam, Basil Pesto and Sesame Tuille on Sourdough Bread. I asked for the heat to be amped up hence the abundance of fresh sliced chillies. It was tasty but personally, the basil pesto did not really fit. It gave a note that threw the dish off the balance so I just set it aside. Need to look elsewhere to balance the overall sweetness of the chilli jam.

The serves were generous and the coffees were good and would very much like them to bring back the Truffled Mushrooms onto the menu.
Oh yes, service was good.

Had our first cooking class experience here and it was so much fun! Connor gave us great guidance and the whole evening ran really smoothly. The food and drinks were delicious- especially the gin spritz and dessert. We’ll definitely be attending another class in the future ‍

Was here tonight for a friend's 40th Birthday and man it was amazing! Spanish Tapa's was the cuisine we were being supported to make by great chefs! A group of around 20 adults who got the opportunity to ditch their kids for a solid night in a collaborative environment cooking dinner!

Would go back because of all the staff as they were all amazing!

Had a great night at the Asian and dumplings cooking class and dinner. Thanks Connor and helpers - Definitely coming back for another class.

My favourite local cafe! Great food and coffee and super friendly staff who will brighten your day. The cooking classes are also a fun experience:)

Barista was nice and Coffee had a nice flavour, could gave been a tad stronger though.
Would have given 5stars if (who I assume was the owner) diddn't randomly rudely glare at me as I walked in the shop.

Food and coffee here is really really good. I have been here twice and the quality and quantity was excellent. I had a warm Buddha Bowl which was very fresh and nourishing. There is a vegan option. The menu is basically an all day breakfast menu, good coffee and pastries/cakes. They also run cooking classes here. Staff were kind and friendly. Would definitely come again.

We had such a great brunch experience at Heart of Hall. The Zaatar breakfast was to die for, the pumpkin hummus was the nicest I've ever tasted! Coffee was delicious. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Such a lovely ambience! Can't wait to pay another visit, thank you so much!

Excellent service the staff were so lovely, friendly and accomadating. The food came out quickly after ordering and was delicious and hot! The children's menu was so simple but one of the best i've seen for a long time, definitely a family friendly future brunch/lunch spot for my family from now on.

I went to a cooking class held by Connor. It was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious and I learnt some great new skills! Great night. Can’t wait to go to another!
