Hawthorn Arts Centre reviews
39Beautiful Hall and acoustics. We were there for our school (Marcellin) Instrumental concert, and it was fabulous! Easy and plentiful parking on the street or behind centre and always helpful, courteous and knowledgeable staff around all evening to assist!
It's a great historic building which is maintained beautifully. I was there for a work conference on a Friday.
Thoroughly enjoyed tour of the hawthorn arts centre. Informative and fascinating history.
Their events are worth attending incl amazing tour by Cyrus Tang passionately showcasing her extraordinary genre of works. She was stimulating. Staff offer friendly assistance & professionalism in all ways.
Great exhibitions, local artists emerging and established
Local events, Sunday market, first Sunday of the month
Beautifully sculptured ceiling, spacious foyer. Large clean bathrooms. Pretty sculptures. Seating isn't the best, feels temporary.
I played in an orchestra in the Hall and it was amazing! The sound quality was pretty good and I'm so glad I got to participate.
We were at the town hall to see the local school music performances. Comfortable seats and room temperature was set appropriately for a very chilly evening.
Beautiful building inside and out lovely rooms ideal for training or functions, polite and quiet staff, very relaxed atmosphere. Art on display in a relaxed atmosphere, very welcoming.
I loved this place! I came here to watch a Scout’s play… The whole play was fantastic, very hospitable and fun!
Great facility! The staff were friendly and there was even a concert on too, which allowed us to enjoy the facilities!
Simply fantastic! What & how the Kooyong Community can Rise to the inspired & Honest leadership of Dr Monique Ryan - The One & Truly Independent for Kooyong.
It's a nice building, definitely worth a visit! At the time of our visit, there were few art exhibitions we enjoyed them alot! Very friendly and helpful staff
Clean spacious and worth it for your seminars and meetings.
Accessible with public transport and car park available!
Location is pro!
Lovely art gallery space / town hall which supports both established local artists and up and coming artists (amongst a wealth of other facilities). Curators regularly change the exhibitions so the Hawthorn Arts Centre makes for a fascinating trip on a regular basis
Lovely place quite diverse, we had a family funeral service here & it was a celebration of my family members life, there was about 500+ that attended & we could have never had fit them all in our church.
What a pretty place! We only got to have coffee and use the facilities. We will be back to wander the galleries.
What a beautiful arena. Ran a work event here and it was a great space with a beautiful ceiling and ambience.
Parking in the street is a real problem but then you would expect it for this area. The building itself is the old Hawthorn town Hall. It has been renovated and looks just great. Lotus of different meeting rooms and a real sense of space. It does not feel cramped like most modern buildings. Even if you are just walking past it's worth popping in for a quick look of you have never been there
A gracious Art Deco building. Spacious venue for the Short Story Festival. Gallery well worth a visit.
