80Went to buy a stick vacuum cleaner and after doing research chose Elctrolux G9. Checked online 8pm Thursday and yes in stock. Went Friday 9am. Customer Service rep was on his 3rd day and this was very very obvious. The poor guy had lots of problems and the older male staff in area (and there were a lot of them) were really dismissive of him, which in this day and age is completely unacceptable. And of course you don't have to be told the item wasn't in stock. Asked if it could be transferred from another store and was told no. Really? Said didn't think that was right and he checked and yes can get from Springvale but not for 10 days. 10 days! He did give us discount off price thank you and asked if we would like a free $20 gift card for stuffing us around for 1 hour. Sorry you are asking if someone wants a free gift card? Anyway Tom (Store manager) you might want to review the training that is given and the teamwork in store. Anyway look forward to getting new vacuum cleaner in 10 days!
The franchisor Tom of this store is extremely rude to customers & staff & unfit for his position. I'll be going elsewhere after 15 years a least of purchases. Shameful behaviour.
Superior to JBHifi anytime. But was annoyed how the salesman tried to sell me warranty or convince me to change service carrier. He than claimed he didn't have the product I wanted even though online it was in the store. Salesman wanted to sell me another product. He eventually checked again in storage and found my preferred product only after I insisted he check. I was somewhat annoyed.
One staff member was very helpful and friendly. He understands customer service.
Another staff member was fairly abrupt and lacked interest in helping. She missed out on a major sale as I chose to purchase the item elsewhere due to her aptitude
Very poor customer service. We went to see a refrigerator over there 50km from home, nearly 1 and half drive. We were looking for a specific model. The customer service guy called ‘Sam’ was so busy in his mobile with chatting and doesn’t look happy for helping to find an alternative model. Finally we have to take our deposit back. Felt like he don’t want to sell anything over there. These kind of people shouldn’t be working in customer service. Never going back there.

I came here in late 1999 to buy a desktop pc (Packard Bell) and back then the place was grande to walk into. It's like it had everything under a single building but I guess that was the point? ! I even managed to get the some great DOS FPS games with the computer i.e. (Quake, Blood and Doom II!). The prices of the game software from $15 to $20 a piece! You don't get deals like that anymore sadly. Upon purchasing the desktop my mom had no way to take it home, so the nice customer service store representative offered to deliver home from once his day job shift was up! What service that was. I haven't been in the store since 1999, have passed it via 2009 but that's it! Cheers for the old customer service memories here.
With lockdown and home schooling being an absolute nightmare, I had a laptop mouse issue
and I must say Michael in the Computer Department was absolutely amazing!
He totally sorted my issue and helped me get the correct item in the end after I’d purchased the wrong one.his help and knowledge was outstanding and his customer service on point.

A huge thankyou to Kevin. I recently purchased a monitor for my computer. The monitor came with a cable that did not match the computer and after calling numerous other computer stores for assistance and feeling like an incompetent old lady I finally called Harvey Norman Moorabbin and was lucky enough to speak to Kevin. He asked the right questions and worked out exactly what I needed. My screen is up and running and I am really grateful. I should also mention that the service once I arrived at the store to click and collect was equally as good. Ky was terrific. Fabulous customer service from these 2:)

Their click and collect is a complete circus.
Waited 40mins to be given the wrong product and went back a couple of days later to wait again, speak to 3 different people including someone on the other end of a staff members phone (I had to read out my order number to this clown too for some reason).
Took 45mins.
Go around the corner to the good guys.
I called up and asked if they had an item in stock as I was travelling 30 minutes to purchase - they said they had 4.
When I arrived they said they can't find them and attempted to charge me a delivery fee or come back the next day.
Horrible customer service.
Best and friendliest staff - i've bought lighting, mirrors, furniture, bbqs, prints, frames, homewares, computers, vacuums, toasters, just about everything over the years.
Am always greeted warmly and taken care of. In busier times ive seen the owner on the shop floor, filling in, ensuring things run smoothly. I always think a good business flows from the top and I think this must be a good place to work given the great attitude of staff, well done!
I have strong doubts I will ever bying anything with need to be delivered. Horrible service. I have to wait all day on Sunday, only my one day of, and wait. Call store few time.lol just one answer, we get back to you. Before Christmas?
Last year I went to get a laptop and got served by a gentleman name Kevin. So far the best experience when buying a laptop and you could tell he genuinely wanted to help me.
Electrical dept has more cardboard boxes on display than actual appliances. Visited this site 3 times, to purchase a soundbar system, which they had at least 3 of that model, but despite repeated requests staff wouldn't take time out from chatting, to set one up for demostration: several other audio systems on display were not working and months later still not fixed. It appears as if the store may closed soon.
Went there for digital prints with pleasing results. The process was professional and extremely helpful. Its a comfortable place to shop.
Enormous! Huge range of every furniture and entertainment. Wanted to check televisions.but they ran soft pictures on all screens. Very disappointing. But staff willing and available to answer queries.
Worst customer service in appliance section, spent over half an hour waiting for someone on the floor to assist. Lady at register was of little help. Will take a lot to entice me to ever buy frkm Harvey Norman again.
The Moorabin White goods store has got to be one of the most dysfunctional Harvey Norman Departments. I ordered a fridge, and made a trip to the beach house for delivery, they canceled, then promised to deliver on a weekend and cancelled, then multiple promises to ring back. Be careful once they have your order and you have paid it is very hard to get any customer service and the sales staff don't want to know you. Be warned give this area of Harvey Norman the miss. The freight company they use is not much better, they tell you anything to get you off the phone. This is one of the worst customer experiences I have had.
