Even one star not worth giving to these practice. Very bad experience today with “nurse”, I thought it was psychologists - she was not …. I recommend do not waste time and money for this clinic. In this clinc they all need to be treated for Low IQ, pshco. Black and white in this clinic are not professional at all. Do not go to this clinic.

I chose this psychiatrist as I was after a simple diagnostic review for a cheaper cost. Unfortunelty my experience was rather unpleasant and I recommend seeking help elsewhere.my doctor, Dr. Wickramsinghe questioned if my preferred name was my 'real' name which instantly made the setting uncomfrtable and I felt judged. She also mis-gendered me and it did not feel very queer friendly.
I tried to describe my symptoms but felt rushed and unlistened to. She also silenced me by claiming 'everyone feels that way' (i'm certain psychotic behaviour is not normal lol)
She also was very judgemental when I said my partner and I were getting engaged. I recently got my diagnostic review back from the Dr and she wrote things i explicitly said were not true.
It was a waste of time and money. She did not listen, did not respect my pronouns or name, came off as abrasive and uninterested and all around was not a comfrtable enough environmen to discuss my symptoms.
0/10 experience, I seriously urge any queer and/or psychotic like people to seek a different clinic.

Disappointing support. Empty help. Milking government money that suppose to help people get their lives better. I used painkillers to escape medications that they falsely diagnosed with scizophernia. Massive 6 years robbery of my life on the expensive monthly medications and withdrawal effects for this false diagnosis. It is rebellion against the broken mental health system of this clinic. Over the past and had no problems with this false schizophrenia diagnosis. I had to spend time fixing myself on my depression and anger. Blame the government for relying on money to attract money parasites like harvester clinic and education system.

I have had a really great experience here with Dr Thilini, I've found the receptionists even under extreme pressure very polite and friendly and sometimes even laugh at my bad jokes. That being said my first consult for ADHD with another clinic was over $1100 dollars my first one with Dr Thilini was not even a 3rd of that and was over an hour.

THE WORST PLACE, they do not care about you what so ever but only for the pay check. Do not go here. So unprofessional. I was offered a phone appointment twice which I declined and said no I want to come in which I was told was fine. I rang and let them know I was running late which I was told was fine and to take my time and they would see me when I got here. I am now here and the doctor refuses to see me. Without a care in the world. Don’t go here. Go to an clinic ran by Australian doctors.

I cant get a psychiatrist for ADHD cos they cant provide one even though i have more than 1 mental health issue. For more than 3 years now this clinic doesnt care about mental health in the slightest. Avoid at all cos to also avoid discrimination.

Hands down the worst clinic to go to. You will get a "45 minute" telephone appointment. The appointment of course will only last 30 minutes. The doctors themselves are never available and the frontline staff are rude, and will lie to you to avoid having to actually deal with the issue.

Dont depend on this place for any kind of help, it is merely a ponzi psychatrist business milking it from Medicare but not actually helping anyone.

Save your tim, energy and money and go to a place that actually cares about their patients. This place needs to be shut down.

As a voluntary client, I was in need of well trained, empathetic psyquiatrist. Starting from the acute team: Andy, Tom, Adam, Brian, Ari, Dale, Chris and Dr. Shashank helped me feel at ease and I was very grateful for their attention and care
(a journal/ agenda isn't enough as a thank you gesture!).
Now, with Dr. AVINESH WAGMARE VISHNNPANT and Natassia I am even more grateful for their ongoing support.
It's necessary for everyone to have a professional to speak to without being judged. Psychiatrists and Psychologists have that ability.
May God continue blessing them and may they continue helping the community!

I've seen Dr. Kiriella on and off since 2016 when I was still a teenager, and over the years have never had an issue! She's an amazing listener, very empathetic, and helps to think about situations rationally and clearly.
Regarding medication, she's very detailed and constantly asks if there's been any changes or side affects regardless of the time past since first being prescribed, and explains everything in great detail from what the drug is, to what the side effects are, to ensure full understanding!

I hadnt been diagnosed, I was seeking an appointment to get a diagnosis for the first time with your practice. But because my referral said I had adhd even though it was just a hypothesis, a "self-diagnosis", a guess, for the referral, I was told after a week of waiting that I couldn't get a simple appointment. Via a letter through my doctor. The practice told me over the phone that I would receive a text message or a call. It would've saved me the embarrassment & confusion of not knowing what was going on for over two weeks. During the first time I called to arrange an appointment I explicitly said that I'm not sure if I had adhd when I was told you didn't have adhd specialists. To be rejected on said basis a week later despite not having been diagnosed was saddening & unprofessional. Please contact your clients directly to save face. Doctors are also busy.

As a GP in Sydney trying to find solutions for an overseas visitor patient, your clinic made inappropriate remarks about the care provided by doctors in Sydney and were not helpful in suggesting alternative solutions for this patient.

I was recommended by my GP to speak with Dr. Shukla and im so glad that i did. Within the first few minutes of meeting with him, i felt safe and more importantly, i was being heard and understood. Dr. Shukla is highly knowledgeable in his field of expertise and EXTREMELY thorough. Thank you so so much, i am beyond grateful to have crossed paths with him.

I am concerned about this practice, particularly Chamara Hettiarachchi's expertise and where she got her education from. I've witnessed her "consultation", where she diagnosed a first time patient as bipolar in the same first session where she'd casually take private phone calls. The patient chose to not go in alone, because they have not seen any evidence to trust the psychiatry profession.

Casual Googling would tell you it's not possible to diagnose bipolar in 1 hour. Respectable and professional mental health practitioners take caution in doing so. Hundreds of medical journals support this. I am not a mental health practitioner but my coursework confirms the challenges of diagnosing bipolar within the mental health profession.

This patients walk out of Harvester Private Consulting Suites with an official 'bipolar' diagnosis and prescription ready to go. In complete contradiction with the patient's 20-year knowledge that they are not bipolar; their psychologist (whom they've been seeing for different reasons also agreed that this patient was not bipolar; the psychologist took a few months of consultations to verify this).

The complexities of one's mental health capacity cannot be overlooked. A dangerous misdiagnosis such as bipolar, can lead to loss of child custody, lose legal battles to fight domestic abuse etc. When patients trust the psychiatry profession, they'd blindly take the prescription medication.

Once patients are on psychotic medication and the like, there is no plan to get off it, despite the signs of drug dependency that mental health practitioners are aware of. Drug dependency or withdrawal symptoms can be similar to anxiety; research shows this. We're in the age where health professionals are more wary of addictive prescription drugs but don't treat drug dependency of this kind in the same way.

In another case, a patient was recommended to switch prescription drugs after side effects started impacting the patient's day-to-day life, having taken these drugs for at least 3 years. The solution at the time was, more prescription drugs to treat the symptoms of those side effects. Eventually, a different psychiatrist from Harvester Private Consulting Suites (not as unprofessional as Hettiarachchi hence name will not be mentioned), recommended to switch drugs. It didn't make sense to this patient. Research on the 2 different drugs, showed that the first was the most appropriate for the patient, the second was only similar in composition. Even GPs were puzzled at the psychiatrists' recommendation.

The patient chose to stop the prescription drugs and the drugs to manage the symptoms, cold turkey. Now having come off it, it was evident how poor their quality of life and mental health was for at least 2 years. The patient does believe that the drugs were helpful for the first year or 2, which was prescribed by their GP.

Harvester Private Consulting Suites provides bulk billing services. It is a common referral made within this region. To date, I've had to support people in the community who have visited this practice. So far, I've only seen evidence of it being dangerous to the community. It seems the Hippocratic Oath to 'do no harm' does not apply to the psychiatric profession - at least not here. I would take caution in visiting this practice at all. A medical diagnoses of any kind is a permanent record in your medical history and can ruin your life if you don't know how to mitigate the damage caused. If you follow the prescription recommendation, your situation only further complicates as you become addicted to the prescription drugs, bleeding into many areas and functions in your life. As with antihistamines, we are told to alternate between brands each year to ensure effectiveness. It's how your body naturally behaves, but what is the plan for effectiveness for any drug that psychiatrists prescribes?

To date, I question how Chamara Hettiarachchi is licensed to practice. What does it say about places that employ her or those who work with her?

Wanted to raise a concern about quality of service referred to message service. Left message never to recieve a call back. Clearly consumer feedback does not matter.

I do not recommend this at all. It seems that because they employ a bulk bill strategy; the overall quality of care is greatly diminished. I had never been to a psychiatrist before (but have seen multiple psychologists) and upon sharing the inner workings of my mind, I was told that these are just my personality traits and I have to learn to live with it. It also takes them a ridiculous 2 week turn around for a simple record to be sent to your GP, regardless of the meaningless content.

To be honest, I could have researched more on my own accord and could have probably walked away with an overall better attitude about my mental health by doing so. They will just prescribe you medication to mask the causes of the issues and expect your GP to deal with the aftermath or to pay for further consults.

This experience has lead to me question the ability of bulk billing doctors to deliver effective and empathetic services as it seems they value the continuous flow over their duty of care. It has gotten to the point where I would rather get medication from drug dealers over a system that subjugates vulnerable people to scrutiny, negligence, hierarchy and malpractice.

However, the receptionists are very nice and are lovely to deal with.

I am writing this review to let the community know their is a shining light masquerading as a case manager at Sunshine Mid West Area Mental Health. My brother John & myself as (Johns carer & sister) have had awsome care.compassion & and ongoing longstanding support by Shannon O'Neil. I want this young lady to be acknowleged in some way by her Peers. She actually puts so many people working in the area of Mental Health to shame. What an amazing advocate, tireless worker & friend she is to us. May she spend many more years improving the mental health system. If you have had an incredible experience with Shannon, please say so. Debbie B
