Harvest Food Store

I can’t find any other cafe around Melbourne to compete with Harvest food store.
The quality of dishes are unbelievably delicious.
The design is phenomenal.
The staff and service are friendly and never disappoint you.
No. 1 in Café.

Small organic food store. Sells some nice stuff. Green smoothie is nice but I avoid using those paper straws and just take it out because it just gets soggy and gross.
The cafe’s food is actually pretty good too. They can do perfect crispy bacon and the big breakfast meal they’ve got is very good. Although I prefer a bit less sweet pickles.

The coffee is very good at Harvest Food Store, as is the food and service. It is nice to have a refreshing sparkling water with my espresso. I walk from Ivanhoe to Fairfield and this is my favorite Fairfield hangout. It is located in the eclectic section in Station Street shopping strip. It has a great selection of bread, fruit and veg and other staples, mostly organics.
If you forget your shopping bag, don't worry they have boomerang bags, and coffee cups too.

Organic ingredients and flavorful, healthy and wholesome food. One of my Best finds of Melbourne. Fairtrade Organic Hot Chocolate, Coffee is the best that you can get. Cigars- they stock em & they too are organic, so I bought 'em to Go! Excellent example of a Family run business. A Must visit!

I ordered a haloumi "toastie" only it seemed to be two bits of toast with stuff in it, not really a toastie, and it had the SMALLEST slithers of haloumi. Couldn't even taste it in the toastie! They seemed very stingy with the other fillings, too, and it was $13. The milkshake was $10 and had no flavour whatsoever. The waiter also gave my boyfriend the toastie that was for me. He didn't ask who ordered it. Really strange service.

Stumbled across this place again since it's makeover a few years ago. What was original an organic store is still that but more. Located centrally in Fairfield with great parking out the front (1 hour limit), this is a fabulous place to buy your organic product. At the rear of the store (as you can see from my photos) there are fresh fruit and veggies, dairy products, nuts and grains and so much more.
The front of the store is a cafe which is fun and funky. Love the little stand for boomerang bags and reusable cups. This should be standard in all cafes these days. Two of us ordered brunch with my poached eggs and avocado with halloumi added on the side despite it not being on the menu (thank you for that little extra touch) and my friend had buckwheat pancakes that she said were delicious. Portion sizes generous. The menu is good, not overwhelming which is nice. Plus the specials board helps with what is available for the day.
If you wanted a coffee on the go or perhaps something to soothe you sweet or savoury tooth - then there is a cabinet filled with delights.
Staff were lovely, helpful and nothing as too much trouble. Never underestimate the value of having people who are happy to help you out, quick with service or even just a friendly smile.
Kid friendly. Wheelchair friendly. Toilets at the rear.
Will return.

Really friendly service with excellent food & a healthy menu, great coffee and a wonderful selection of fresh and long life groceries. I love this place and the owner is such a happy helpful fun character. I never miss a visit when I'm in this part of Melbourne

Very interesting cafe, excellent buck wheat pancakes, loved the stewed apples and pecan nuts scattered on the plate with choc chips and rose petals. Very filling and satisfied me completely. Chai latte was also very good

Coffee is nice but I went here on saturday morning and the Barista was extremely rude to a customer ahead of me for no reason at all, will not be going back

I like harvest when I don’t know where to go in the area. Good coffee and variety of food options. Being vegetarian they offer lots of options and have a cute store at back to buy food, bit pricy but fresh organic usually is.

Great organic cafe and grocery in Fairfield.the staff are super friendly and helpful and they have a good stock of organic veggies and raw cakes also!
