Hares & Hyenas reviews
40Love the genuine bookstore, cafe and meeting place vibe. Happily sold me their one remaining display copy of the book I was after. Will be back!
Super cute queer bookstore and cafe. Offers a varied selection of LGBTQI+ material; books, graphic novels, post cards, merch, etc.
They do alot for the queer community and also for the arts community including poetry which I have been involved in.
A local favourite for queer art and literature.
I have fond memories coming here and exploring their diverse collections of books and graphic novels. Everything from poems to erotic arts of gay men and their adventures.
Highly recommended place, has its unique vibe and gorgeous attention to detail. Enjoy yourself with a mug of coffee or a drink at the bar.
Melbourne's only Queer bookshop with community at its. It's not only a bookshop but cafe, meeting place and a great entertainment venue for the LGBTIQ community
Great venue for LGBT+ events, there's always something great on. The staff are lovely, and the bookshop itself has a great variety of content available
Support your local queer book store and pop in for a cup of tea.really lovely staff and relaxing environment
Really cool place! I haven't been here in the daytime: this was used as a venue for a Fed Uni HE Performing Arts Cabaret that I went to a few months back.
In terms of a performance venue, it's really nice. If you're right up the front. Otherwise, the single-level seating arrangement means that the further away you are, the less you'll be able to see the show and the more you'll see of the back of people's heads.
Having said that, I'd be really curious to go back in the daytime and check out the books that they have! Really cool variety on some pretty niche topics! Could spend hours just reading the blurbs and drinking some tea (which they provide there too)
I am a regular visitor here. They host a variety of good shows, have lovely staff, and rather nice drinks. Both the entrance and one of the bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.
There also very comfortable couches and an excellent selection of books and dvds.
A wonderful independent local bookshop with a really beautiful children's book section. Great coffee and snacks too. Highly recommended.
A great place to meet for those in the LGBTIQA+ community and their family and friends. Amazing range of books, magazines and sundry materials, including free information. A great location for Midsumma events too.
Probably the best, most welcoming, most inclusive book shop I’ve ever been to. Friendly staff, great selection of books and other goods and a good coffee!
People were so nice and helpful, my friends come here for events that are held here and always speak highly of it, I just come here for the awesome books though and still want to rate it full for the service and selection available.
Great bookshop that has contributed greatly to the community, the markets there are great to have small makers there too.
A fabulous venue and always wonderful staff. A great place to see an amazing show or pick up a good book!
Fabulous book shop/ cafe/ bar/ groovy events venue! This is such a wonderful place! A brilliant collections of books from the simple and crude to exquisite and philosophical. Recommended for all Melbourne queers and all other open minded peeps!
A nice quiet place to relax and enjoy great coffee and service. Gotta try the wonderful cookies. Accepts emotional support and therapy pets. Browse interesting books, DVD's. Has various shows and events. The go to location for the LGBTI community.
An amazing queer bookstore where you can obtain plenty of queer media to add to your collection.
They host many small handicraft sellers every so often on Sunday where you can find little amazing queer gifts to surprise your friends.
They also host some shows and have a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
A must visit to a small queer bookstore where you might find something that will surprisr you.
Excellent place to get LGBTQI books for all ages (fiction/non fiction), fantastic resource centre for everyone and great place to catch a coffee or drink with friends.
