Happy Wanderer Holiday Resort

Would recommend camping in halls gap instead if a site is available. We stayed over Easter at $40 per night plus a credit card fee for an unpowered site. Toilets are portaloos or ramshackle. Ran out of toilet paper on both Friday and Saturday morning. Place looks like it's had $0 spent on maintenance since 1960. Tennis court is hard concrete and the fence is too close to the baseline to play properly. The site itself was nice grass with a view of the Grampians, and they did fit us in at a busy time.

It's a budget place you stay when you need a toilet or shower. The owners were friendly enough & the toilet & shower did the job, if that's all you are after you will be good to go but dont expect it to be some luxury big 4 park or you will be very disappointed. I didn enjoy watching the kangaroos grazing though.

The kids and I loved our time at the Happy Wanderer.
We stayed in the executive cabin which has a great layout and everything you need for when you need a home away from home.
Pool was clean everyday we went swimming.
We enjoyed watching all the animals that came to the Park including the kangaroo's and lots of native birds.
The new owners are so very friendly and accommodating.
We will sure be back for our next getaway.

Camped here four times in different occasions, friendly hosts. Great for camping with private sites in peaceful location! Bathrooms need some care.

Never have i been treated so poorly in my life.went in to buy petrol with three cars and the owner ran up to our cars just to verbally abuse us yelling and screaming telling us to get out.the reason because we missed the sign where the petrol was and accidentally drove past reception.my children didn’t know what was going on they were very scared i thought he was gonna attack us thats how aggressive he was.my advice avoid avoid avoid very rude and mentally unstable owner not safe for children or families.would not recommend.

I’ve done a fair bit of travelling and stayed in many sites like this and I have never been treated so poorly.

My partner and I was rejected service and rudely asked to leave by the owner when we initially arrived because I accidentally drove passed the main office when I first arrived.

Disgusted and absolutely shocked to be honest.

Stopped for Petrol & the service was great with heaps of supplies available! Last stop for petrol in this area so good idea to top up.

Peaceful bush setting, kangaroos and emus. Huge bush area, good amenities very friendly host, will come again.

A nice and quiet place where you get plenty of space to do your own thing and just a short drive to halls gap and the hikes around the area

Be weary of owner, as returning customers we where expecting Dr Jekyll unfortunately we meet Mr Hyde believe both good and bad reviews!

This my absolute favorite caravan park.do go thr on winter.during summer, grampians in general has lots of bug which is annoying.
