Happy Fillet Fish and Chips

Food was extremely expensive and terrible quality. Hamburger with the lot was thin and very bland, $5 chips was basically a small handful and $40 later it would have been enough for 1 person. Will not be going back

Lovely range love chips flake dim sims and burgers and if your a scallops person well they have a good range of them too nom nom and truly ideal after hitting the grog hard and the next day some nice greasy food to fix those tired feelings and the food is finger licking and i would reccomend them

I totally get it's Good Friday however having to wait over one and a half hours is a bit much
If they had told us before we ordered and paid we would not have ordered.
We have always really liked everything from this shop but I am feeling rather annoyed at 10 to 8 over half an hour longer than they told us it would be

We just spent $47 and asked for 1 battered fish, 2 battered dimsims (they ended up fried after we double checked with the register chick), we asked for 6 potato cakes got 5 and asked for well cooked chips and they were not even crispy

They will need to pull there act up if they still want my business.
Not happy spending that much money and not getting what we ordered.

Delicious potato cakes home made and yummy battered dim sims. Burgers and souva nice but I have asked for well done crunchy chips twice and they were nice only let down. Otherwise amazing

The best in G town! Scallops and gummy shark are the go to! Just noticed the amount of minimum chips have been reduced. But it’s all good!

Came here a few months ago and the food was great. Dropped in yesterday to buy fish, chips and potato cakes for the family dinner. Fish (flake) was ok but the chips were passable at best and the $1.50 potato cakes were so over cooked they were practically inedible. Potato bake batter was cooked to the point of being crunchy and dry looking. Found it disappointing for a shop that is usually to notch. Hopefully this was just a once off bad day.

These guys make a really good burger with the lot. I think the mince may have been sausage mince, but I didn't mind - the flavours were right. It was weighty and wasn't greasy, which is a bonus. Definitely check out their items next time you're in Grovedale and in need of a feed.

Best fish n chips in Geelong! We have been Sunday regulars for many years. The owner and staff are fantastic. Everything is so fresh and crispy and always so yummy. Highly recommend

I live in the States and spent 7 years in the UK and can’t say without a doubt the Happy Fillet is the best of the best, when I come home to Oz for a visit I have to drop I and get a piece of flake and chips which is always fresh and a good size.

Everything was great, just my price of fish was a bit small, that being said I'll still go again!

We got kebabs for the family all four of us where burping the entire night. Stick to the fish and chips.

Wonderful service, didn't have to wait long even though they were really busy, and the food was fantastic.
