It’s definitely overpriced, if the food are delicious and fresh I wouldn’t mind the price at all. The salad was not fresh and the meat was not served hot enough (and a bit dry).

I ordered a chicken lemongrass stir-fry with rice, I requested NO MSG or food enhancer, they said no problem. I ate the food and hard an allergic reaction for 24hrs. I went in to discuss this with them and asked for a refund the owner flatly refused without any concern or remorse! I am very upset because I experienced stomach cramps, itchy skin, burning eyes, post nasal drip, migraine and diarrhoea!
The owner was unwilling to discuss my concerns and denied all responsability. I am a local to the area and very disappointed not to me tonight 8nhad tp take a day off work to recover.
Not good enough Hanoi Rose
I will continue to write reviews until you give me the refund and compensation station I deserve

Really good food. Ordered the GF brisket and sliced beef PHO. Really tasty. Another great GF option. Also their lemon iced tea is very refreshing. Kids got the normal brisket and sliced beef PHO and loved it. Highly recommend.

I have never been here before. Today I and my wife came here for lunch & ordering: Pho and Bun cha. I must say: pho here is better than in Footscray, Richmond, Springvale.and Bun cha here is as good as Bun cha Obama in Hanoi (Vietnam). Perhaps, if you followed the news; in 2016 on an official trip to Vietnam, president Obama was introduced by Chef Anthony Bourdain one of the famous Vietnamese dishes: "Bun cha". Later on the people in Hanoi called it: "Bun cha Obama". That's what I mean: Bun cha in Hanoi Rose is as good as Bun cha Obama in Hanoi. If you have not been here before: don't forget to come to Hanoi Rose, a highly recommended Vietnamese restaurant in Melbourne.

We had a big family function with strict dietary needs. The food was great, the service outstanding, and the help we received during planning was wonderful. With multiple generations and dietary needs, we all had a wonderful time.

Hanoi Rose catered our event at home for 30 guests. From the very first enquiry through to the delivery of the amazing food, Thu and her team were nothing short of fabulous. After a discussion on our party guest and needs, Thu suggested a menu which we then tweaked a little to suit the dietary requirements of some of the guests. Thu was super responsive and no question or change was an issue at all.

The delivery was on time and Thu explained how to set up the food to make the most of the accompanying sauces and condiments. The food itself was OUTSTANDING! All of the guests commented on how delicious everything was, and our family was happy to eat leftovers for the next couple of days.

I can't recommend Hanoi Rose and Thu highly enough should you be looking for a great Vietnamese catering experience!

We ordered the pho and the fried tofu. Highly recommend the beef pho! Very delicious. However was disappointed with our tofu, firstly the portion sizes was very small for $25 (see photos), and second the batter was too thick and crunchy. Would eat the phot again but not the tofu.

Paid $17.50 for a roast pork belly Bánh Mì ($13 + $4.50 for extra meat) and was very disappointed with the portion size (compared to a similar standard crackling pork Bánh Mì sold at Luke’s Bakery, Reservoir, which only costs $9). The standard size at Luke’s Bakery has much more meat compared to Hanoi Rose, with extra meat added. Besides the portion size, it was generally a little dry but the taste was nothing outstanding. Personally, I would not even want to attempt to try the other dishes: once bitten, twice shy. If basic menu items are nothing outstanding, why bother to try the other more elaborate dishes? Price wise, it’s on the steep side. Not value for money!

I ordered vegetable fried rice. The food was not bad and not great. They told the order will take 10 - 15 minutes, but took almost about 30 minutes.

I eat pho almost weekly in Footscray, so had to try the pho from here. This is a lighter no msg pho soup, you can add hoisin sauce if you want more umami flavour closer to pho from Footscray. The soup was nice and I really like the brisket which has a little fat. The chilli oil was more of a paste though, service and price were decent for Brunswick. The chopsticks were very worn down and should be replaced.

There is no denying the food is good, but to have to wait because their focus is takeaway orders is a joke. I have been on 2 separate occasions and won’t be returning. There are places within walking distance that can give you far better service.

THIS is the kind of Vietnamese food I love to eat (ie.authentic!). Don’t be fooled by what seems to be a small venue when entering, because it stretches out all the way to the back with a larger seating hall for groups. The portions are so generous and everything we tried tasted healthy and fresh.

We ordered:
Charcoal grilled chicken w/ steamed rice - Super fresh and tasty. Portion is huge! Chicken is seasoned well, they weren’t stingy with anything.
Roast pork belly on vermicelli bowl & fresh herbs - again, huge! The pork had crispy skin and tender meat, the noodles and toppings were plentiful.
? Lemongrass beef fresh rice paper rolls - Pretty average. They could’ve benefited from some more seasoning in the beef, nothing amazing.

Their menu is huge and they even do banh mi’s if you’re on the go! Probably my new favourite Viet spot!

I asked Hanoi to cater my 30th birthday with some yummy banh mi and they came through 1000%. Really accommodating with dietaries and even added little place names so I knew what was what. I'd definitely recommend using them to cater an event. So yum!

Great service. Fast & fresh food.
Plenty of vegan options.
We continue to come back. Our favorite Vietnamese in Brunswick.

Simply the best Thai in town. Make sure you book a table or be prepared to wait as it can get real busy during dinner time. Crispy skin chicken is my personal favourite. Their pho is best in the neighbourhood.

A cold pho and a too hot to eat microwaved eggplant chicken.
I would have said something but I didn't want my food microwaved too.
