I'd give it a 5 if there's gonna be more staff to help the lovely lady out

Decided to visit the OG Hanoi pho shop as I stumbled across it when I was googling where to eat in Williamstown.

I nearly missed it for few times since the signage wasn't obvious when I was skating through. No jokes, this shop was like a time capsule and felt like I'm back in the 90s today. The lady serving me was one woman band doing everything from cooking, cleaning and serving all at once. She was super lovely and was impressed with my broken Vietnamese

I ordered the stir fried beef pho and can I just say, this is probably one of the best broths I've had in a long while.

Some places usually go all out on the sugar or msg but damn, this broth was really savoury. It's as if it didn't even need any of the extra seasoning on the side to dip the meat. Along with lime/chilli to add the punch in the broth.

Will be back again and thank you for having me

This place is always our Vietnamese go-to when we’re in the area. Delicious Bahn mi and pho every time. The crispy pork is AMAZING.

Empty restaurant at 3.15pm.
Beef pho served without any accompanying garnishes which are standard elsewhere.
No basil, no bean shoots or fresh chilli.
Poor effort.
Won’t return.

Family Sunday lunch was a huge success at Hanoi Pho. The pork rice paper rolls and Pho sensational. Happy buoyant staff added to the celebration. Would definitely come again.

Great chicken pho with a tasty fragrant broth and all the other dishes had by the group were great too

If you make any complain to food, the owner will find you, hunt you on social media month by month then threaten you to delete any bad reviews

Customer’s service is appalling.
Food tastes like dog food, Remember next time to bring your dog.
Owner needs to clean out his mouth before someone will clean him up for him.

We realised soon after entering this was the sister restaurant of the one in Preston when the menus, table accessories and self-service to condiments were identical.

I ordered via the QR code but was messaged thanks for the order at Preston! After a little confusion, we received our Pho Salads.

Mine was a huge clump of dry Pho noodles, a few pieces of blandish BBQed chicken and salads as one would normally get with Bun, to which I added the Chef's special sauce. The crispy pork in my friend's salad was crunchy and tasty.

The space is bright and more comfortable than the Preston store. Service was minimal. Overall, an ok experience that we won't go out of the way to repeat.

Nice Banh Mi but they don't put chilli on them, they just have chilli sauce. Besides that, the food is awesome. (Rice paper rolls, especially)

Dropped in for dinner by chance after seeing ‘Best Pho in Melbourne’ signs, as far as I’m aware, the food lives up to the statement for once. Will be back here next time I’m in town, do yourself a favour and eat here.

Nice people but the pho was flavourless. Just salty water and no condiments, herbs or chilli on the side. Probably good enough for unassuming white folk but there’s probably a reason there are no Vietnamese people dining here. Maybe I caught them on a bad day so will try again another time.

Walked past the sign stating ‘Melbourne’s best Phó’, as a party of three hungry blokes, we figured it’s a big call but it looked busy, we’ll give it a crack. The atmosphere was great and boy oh boy was the food amazing! Not a single complaint from any of us, absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to go back Thanks for having us!
We couldn’t find a reason to argue with their claim on Melbournes best…Lovely

I love this little place, complete with corny Viet Pop music. Tasty Tofu Banh Mi with lots of fresh herbs, yum!

Absolutely loved this restaurant!
Warm, friendly, authentic staff. We felt very welcome. The food was out of this world! Best rice paper rolls we’ve ever had! Juicy pork belly with a perfectly crunchy crackling. We both had the rare beef Pho which was amazing! So savoury and tasty, light broth that didn’t feel “fatty”. It was so satisfying!
Thank you, thank you so much. We loved it all, even the authentic decor. We will come back very soon!

Very salty I think, stronger than all the Vietnamese restaurants I have ever tried in Melbourne for the same dish. If they use less salt, it would have been much better for health sake!
The person appeared to be friendly and polite but the charge was pricey, with $2.00 extra even though I used a debit card only.
This one is pretty new in the area and inexperienced too, compared to other competitors. I like the one in Vietnam, very authentic and genuine and affordable but the hygiene could be a issue. The ones in Preston and Footscray is also ok, cheaper than in Williamstown.
