Wow, we came in here after an afternoon at the beach and wow. Was a special treat. We wanted something fresh, so we both ordered the Coconut poached chicken salad and the taste was great and a wonderful portion. Loved it with the large prawn cracker. Amazing attentive service. You can tell this place is being managed well as the staff are on to it (uncommon in post-COVID Melbourne).

Soup was such a fresh set of flavours and the pork roll crunchy and filling. Our service experience was a 10: 10 and a great introduction to this gem of a restaurant in Port Melbourne.

Excellent food. Generous sizes. Great quality. They give some fairly traditional Asian dishes a very interesting and thoughtful twist. Their menu is much more interesting than other Asian restaurants in the area. So much so, we had to go 2 days in a row.
Plus the prices are very reasonable!

This place has the BEST bahn mi that I have ever had. Absolutely fantastic. Lots of meat and a fantastic price for what you get.

The staff are nice and efficient. The ambience is nice. Everything here is amazing.

I cannot find anything to complain about here.

A pleasant Vietnamese restaurant with good service and very good food.
My partner had the nicely presented home whole snapper which was slightly overcooked but acceptable.
I had the beef shortribs with papaya salad which was perfectly cooked. My only niggle was very little papaya in the salad but otherwise very tasty.
The entree of calamari, prawns and scallop rolls were delicious.
The others in our group had various dishes off the menu, all were satisfied with their meals.
Plenty of meter parking, the restaurant is also wheelchair accessible.
All in all, a pleasant experience for all of us.

OMG! Where to begin. I have eaten here many times now and will again (many times) in the future. The food is outstanding and nothing like I have experienced in "standard" Vietnamese restaurants. NOTE: this is a Vietnames "fusion" restaurant.
I have indulged in virtually every dish on the menu and I have never been disappointed. I could easily describe each dish and how delicious they are but there is not enough time to do so. Also, if you like sweet cocktails I highly recommend the "Late NightJaffa". It's not in their list of cocktails (it was just a special some time ago but they will still make it on request). It contains vodka, cointreau, kahlua and coffee, as well as a square of chocolate. It is sooooooooo nice and the first thing I order when I sit down. Do yourself a favour and book a table. If you are not sure what to order, try the "Chefs Menu" @ $70PP. We added it up to be $120 value! And the cute napkins they give you which expend when dropped into water! I can't recommend Hanoi Mee highly enough!

In the last few months, we been unfortunate enough to experience abysmal service not once but three times from this once-great local business. The first incident involved the waiter admitting to us he was intoxicated while working and couldn’t remember our orders. More recently, we made a group booking over the phone and arrived on the day to discover the booking had been recorded for the following week. The final straw was turning up with my dog to collect take away I had ordered over the phone 15 minutes prior only to be told they had no recollection of the order no orders with that name.

We would love to continue to support, however have received far more consistent and reliable service from other local restaurants and will take our business elsewhere.

Fusion Vietnamese on the bland side. Highlights were the crispy pork hock and crisply whole baby snapper, which you couldn't really go wrong with. However the pho was tasteless, duck noodles dry and vermicelli fish sauce had no profile.
The locals seem to like this joint, but for actual
Vietnamese flavours, look elsewhere.

I walked into the restaurant to join my friends as they were taking their seats. Two steps in, a white guy dressed in black, who was managing entering customers, physically stopped me by wrapping his arms around my waist, and said “taking away? ”

I think the staff here really need to reassess their biases, don’t assume that any Asian person walking in, who you do not know, is an Uber eats delivery driver. Would you do this to a Middle-aged white person walking in?

And please be respectful, you can say “excuse me, can I help you? ” to anyone, instead of physically stopping someone in their tracks, regardless if they are a delivery person, or well dressed customer.

So glad I found this place. We had the twice cooked beef rib, and chicken and spring roll bun. The rib tasted so deep and rich, coupled with a fresh tangy salad. The bun was super flavourful and the spring rolls were large and homemade. Both were extremely delicious. Completely exceeded our expectations and will come back!

I am blessed to have this restaurant x2 blocks away. I have eaten in and takeaways at least once a week for the past x2 years. Food is always brilliant I have never had a feed under 5/5. Service and staff are brilliant. Give it avo and I guarantee you you will go back.

Love the super cool interior, yummy modern asian cuisine and fun cocktails here. Have already been twice in the last couple of months and would come more regularly if I was a local. Such a great vibe and the food and drinks are delicious.

• Soft shell crab bun (So Good)
• Soft shell crab salad (Good)
• Salmon Avocado (Goooood)
• Steak Salad (This one was soo goood that we were dancing for the food and re-order it)
• Pho Cuon (Goooood)
• Roasted duck rice paper roll (Goooood)
• Pork Rice Paper Roll (Gooood)
• Beef tartare (Good but a little bit salty for us)

Main course:
• Pork Hock (It was OMG, we love the sauce that we paired it with coconut steam rice and it was fantastic)
• Barramundi with ginger sauce
• Viet fried chicken
• Another one but I forgot that, we love the food but it was too full

We are a group of Vietnamese people, we can confirm that it’s hard to make a fusion of Vietnamese food with Western style. HanoiMee food is too good to be true.

Shout out to our waiters as Peter and Ennis for recommending the food and taking care of our table. It was sooo sooo gooooooooood!

We will absolutely come back and recommend it to our other friends! The whole group still talking about HanoiMee for three days after so I decided to write a review. Thank you for creating memories with good food, good friends and beautiful Vietnamese aesthetic.

Always busy so make sure you call or book ahead. The best modern Vietnamese in the area. The service was attentive and fast. The food tasted amazing, recommend trying pork belly entree and xo sauce chicken main. Great portions and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back to try the other dishes.

We stopped by for dinner last night and the food was delicious, service spot on and restaurant vibrant. We enjoyed the chicken ribs, buns, crab, calamari and prawn spring rolls and the soft shell crab salad. Dining at Hanoi Mee was a great experience and I look forward to going back again soon.

I love Hanoi Mee throughout the years. But last week I had two takeaways.
1 - Crispy Pork Banh Mi
2 - Beef Pho

When I had the first one, I had allergies which doesnt usually happen to me, such as swelling of tongue. I have food allergies but this didnt happen before. So I was thinking maybe its just too salty.

On my second takeaway, I chose a safer option for me, the Beef Pho. But I still had the same allergic reaction.

Their food is very tasty and excellent. I was just worried with allergic reaction the foods' giving me. The only thing I was thinking if there were MSG or food additives, as I am allergic to those.

Please do yourself a favour and visit Hanoi Mee. You will not be disappointed! From the minute you enter the restaurant there is a warm and welcoming ambience. The service is top notch and the food is outstanding. It is evident each and every dish is prepared with attention and detail. The quality, freshness of ingredients and fusion of flavours produces the most delicious, mouthwatering dishes. Always hard to choose a favourite, but a winner with us is the caramelised crispy pork hock. No question it is the best we have ever had. The food is five star with quality servings and extremely well priced. This restaurant is a real winner all round and I highly recommend it for a perfect night out.
