Tracey from HandPicked Wines is my new hero! Last week i needed an urgent delivery of a wine and cheese box to a friend. But i contacted them too late to get delivery arranged for that day. So Tracey immediately offered to hand deliver the box to my friend on her way home from work at no charge! She also helped me pick the ideal box, took a photo of it, and added a hand written note from me. Such amazing service and kindness. I will order all gifts from here in the future. Thank you Tracey for totally making my day (and making my friend very happy).

I am not one to normally write negative reviews, but I feel the need to say something about this one.
We had booked a table at Handpicked for a glass of wine before dinner during my friends hens do last weekend. We had planned to stay here for no longer than 1.5 hours. We are not big drinkers or party-ers, nor did we have any games planned. We just wanted a slow glass of wine, maybe a cheese board.

When we arrived we were greeted aggressively by Tracey, who immediately made us feel unwelcome. Apparently the fact that we were celebrating our friends marriage was something we needed to specify at the time of booking (which would be understandable if we were planning any of the games I know some groups would bring along, but again, we were not). She almost didn't let us in. Already felt like criminals before we stepped inside!

We were shown to our table, and proceeded to wait 45 minutes (!) for any wine or water to come to the table. We were the only table upstairs, and there was maybe 2 tables of 2 downstairs (who were making exponentially more noise than we were). When delivering items to our table, Tracey repeatedly pushed and shoved my heavily pregnant friends chair, without apology, or even an "excuse me".

When it came time to pay, our waiter was nowhere to be seen, so a few of us (including my pregnant friend) went downstairs to pay and move onto our dinner venue.
Tracey told us that we HAD to go back up the stairs and wait for our waiter in order to pay, despite the fact that another staff member was at the till, offering to take our payment. Again, sending my pregnant friend back up two flights of stairs unnecessarily. She agreed to this, as she had been basically ordered to do this, and didn't want to cause a scene. Shocking!

I do want to give a positive shout out to Barry, who was lovely.
But I cannot recommend this venue, due to the intense rudeness we encountered here.

Superb service in a cool modern setting, wonderful wines and cheeses with fantastic food on the menu.

Love this place. The food is awesome. The cheeses are even better if possible. The staff are honest and upfront. This is my new fav wine bar. Oh yeah the wines are delicious.

This is my new favourite place for after work drinks! Delicious wines, and so many to try! If you're a cheese and oyster love the this place is for you. We were lucky to come here on a Tues for $1 freshly shucked Sydney Rock Oysters. Sooo fresh! Can't wait to come back for a full wine and cheese flight. The venue would also be amazing for a private event!
