Went on a Friday night and had an amazing night. Ordered the cheese and wine flight and was blown away. Went with friends but would also recommend for a date night.

Great time spent at this establishment, the staff was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and we learned about the wine region even though we couldn't visit it. The wine was of high quality, and the place was very pleasant. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful wine tasting experience.

An absolute hidden gem! Incredible wines, wonderful hospitality (in particular Tracy) and even kinder staff who didn’t mind a wiggly little one year old! Highly recommend!

We attended Handpicked on Saturday and enjoyed one of the 75ml four wine flight boards with cheese pairing.

It’s not often we enjoy every wine in a tasting but we were pleasantly surprised and impressed at the absolute perfect wines and the cheese pairings were absolutely spot on. They complimented the wines so well, and amplified the flavour notes perfectly.

Highly recommend 10/10

Excellent wine tasting experience. This place has a broad range of wine from around the world under its own label and they do not disappoint. You can drink them by the glass just as in any other wine bar, or you can do flight or a structured mini-tasting. Either way the service is impeccable and friendly, catering to all levels of wine knowledge. I particularly enjoyed my tasting with Daniel, he did a great job of curating a special tasting to suit my particular interests. Thanks you!

Excellent wines. We had the pinot noir wine flight and the pinot gris and red wine flight with matching cheese. It was absolutely wonderful! Highly highly recommended

Went here for my partner’s birthday and booked the wine testing. Was so good and a lovely afternoon. We went on a Friday. From turning up the shop looks stunning and very cosy and clean. The staff approached you straight away and had you sit down at the testing pod set up. Tracie was amazing and how much information she had regarding the wine and also just nice chatting with us. What an asset to the company she is. The wine was amazing and full of flavour, if in Melbourne again we will definitely be back. And reasonably priced. Don’t hesitate and give it a go.

Cute little wine bar on Collins St. There's so much competition in this location with so many cocktail bars however Handpicked Wines really is a hidden gem.

The tasting flights are really good if you're new to wine. They have so many varieties on offer. They come with tasting note cards which are really useful.

Loved this little gem! Perfect place to pop in before dinner, to try a wine flight. We had ours with the cheese pairing, and they were delicious!

When we arrived we were greeted by a staff member who was rude, I had booked a wine tasting two weeks prior to the date. Once we sat the waiter told us we could not do the wine tasting because it was going to take too long and they had a bigger party of people coming. I was disappointed that if this was they case I should have been notified of this before hand.
After 5 minutes of him walking away and us trying to decide what we were going to do. We had a different staff member, a lovely gentlemen he explained that it is something we had booked and he will do the wine tasting for us. It would have been a lovely experience if we didn’t have such a disappointing encounter in the beginning.

Nice comfortable place and the wine wasn’t too bad, (much better than other places we tried that night). The cheese pairing with the wine was pretty good.

Only reason for losing 2 stars- I was miffed they haven't read the news about ventilation. This venue is a viral petri-dish, ideal for super-spreader events.

Located within 80 Collins you will find Handpicked Cellar Door. Here they bring the experience of their vineyards and wineries to the CBD. You are able to discover new wines with a guided tasting or relax in the lounge with a flight at your own pace.

We visited as a large group for a birthday and I thought it was a fantastic idea, something a little different than a lunch and doesn’t take a whole day trip to a wine region.

I opted for the “I Need A Vacay” Wine Flight (4x75ml), a mixture of local and international whites and reds. I also added the optional artisan Cheese Pairing (4x20g). These were some of the best wine and cheese I’ve had, I was very impressed. It did come to $56 which felt pricey although they were almost full standard pours.

They have a small snack and specials menu if you’re feeling like something more to eat. The Baked Brie is always a good idea and their Olive Bread was amazing! One of my friends ordered the Anchovies on Toast and sadly didn’t enjoy it as they were vinegary rather than salty and quite chewy. Staff were very friendly and accomodating?

The place is a hidden gem, in the alley ways of Society and Farmers Daughter, the wines are all exceptionally selected. We had 2 flights (4×75mls of wine) matched with 4 cheeses, a serve of Anchovies on toast.delicious.
If you like nice wine, fresh, delicious food, to compliment that wine.
Super Friendly, well mannered, eager staff members will give you a run down on anything you want to know. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, & try this Cool New Wine Space.
