Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park reviews
73Fantastic beautiful places in vic the cabin was simple and old just what I needed as I had my furor baby with me
Best park in all of Halls Gap. Wonderful facilities. Great staff and owners, especially the receptionist.
Absolutely loved the place! Despite a hiccup regarding an issue with our couples cabin, the staff were professional, welcoming and very accommodating. My girlfriend and I didnt want to leave. Everything from the views, amenities (each cabin has a weber BBQ) and animals that meander around the park just add to the incredible atmosphere at the park. I went home feeling refreshed and relaxed. We plan on visiting again in August and cant wait to see what we can do. There are many hikes and walks within a short drive but if youd rather disconnect and enjoy the park, you'll be fully entertained! Thanks for such a great experience and making my birthday special!
So apparently travellers love details, so I gotta aim for a review of 100 words or more so here's a quick story: I'm an undergrad student who works in the south east on IT projects with different groups. Back in Halls Gap I ran into one of my group members without even knowing he was there! Only 50 words so far? Ok fine. Travellers like hearing about the hotel's location apparently, so I'll let y'all know that this isn't a hotel but rather a campsite with some nice cabins. I've stayed multiple times and all cabins, camp grounds seem to be OK alright I made the 100 words bye
What a place to stay! Possibly the most fancy Park we've stayed at! Amenities are in excellent condition, the view are spectacular.
This is our go to place to stay when we're in Halls Gap. We love the wood heated pool which we can use all year round. The landscaping and maintenance is impeccable. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Cabins are always clean on arrival. The kangas, birds and other wildlife are an added bonus.
The room was too small and heaps smaller than what we see in photos, room has mould and smelly.
Staff was so rude and helpless.
After all that we try to exchange the the cabin they didn’t want to help us with that and.
Absolutely fantastic caravan park. Recently refurbished showers and toilet make it feel more like a hotel than camping destination. The kids loved the trampolines and heated pool. The place to stay at in Halls Gap. The roaming kangaroos are a bonus!
Staff are so helpful and friendly. The facilities are amazing - the bathrooms are newly renovated and are luxurious. Amazing cooking facilities as well. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Highly recommend the Queenie caravan to stay in.
This is a magnificent park with the best toilets and shared game and BBQ facilities I've encountered in a caravan park. The area of beautiful and a lot of the walks around the Grampians literally start in the caravan park. The people are friendly and it's easily the best choice in Halls Gap and is amazingly well looked after with a big staff. However there are some downsides that drop off the star. For a start the "Lakeside" part while true is misleading as the park is as the bottom of a giant stone dam wall you can't see the water as it's 25 metres above you. The driving lanes are narrow and many sites have to be reversed into from The main strip down the lane into the site which is no big deal if you know what you're doing but there are kids everywhere so you need a spotter. That's the next point there are kids everywhere and I mean everywhere. The park is full of the sound of tiny little happy voices from dawn to dusk so if you're after a family park it's perfect but if you're after a quiet weekend away forget it that's not happening here. You will be up early. The prevalence of staff and families mean the bogans from the dusty park down the road don't come here which is a bonus from a safety and security point. They have music rules but there not enforced. Three vans around us were having a mine is bigger contest for sound. You can have fires but the sites are so small you'll be interfering with the next people. We had to keep our windows closed to avoid filling up with next door's smoke.

If you looking for a great tourist park just come here, great stuff and great location.
I really enjoy of my unit +great massage.
I highly recommend it to you if you want relax and enjoy time with your friends or family.
This park is located about 5km outside the township of Hall's Gap. It is situated just below the Lake Bellfield dam wall. It is a very pleasant park with many trees throughout the grounds. There is abundant wildlife including many kangaroos, lots of native parrots and cockatoos, wrens and even deer. Emus can be seen close to the park and near The Valley hotel. The toilet and shower blocks are absolutely first class. Each shower cubicle has a glass door to separate the shower from the dressing area. We were there during cold weather and appreciated the heating in the shower block. The camp kitchen is large with plenty of seating including 3 large sofas surrounding a fireplace which is kept burning most of the day and evening. We hired a fire pit which is a 200 litre drum split vertically on a metal stand. It cost $10 For the duration of our stay. We also bought a bag of firewood for $17. Kindling is also available, but we forged for some in the park. The only negative, and the reason we didn't rate the park 5 star is that we didn't have a concrete slab or mesh mat for our annex. It rained before and during our stay and the ground was muddy meaning it was hard to avoid tracking mud through our site and into our van. Apart from that, we had a great stay and found many interesting attractions accessible from tha park.
