A stunning location, definitely the nicest location of all the caravan parks in Halls Gap, and the cockatoos will land on you which is pretty special! The facilities were very clean, and the showers were hot with good water pressure. Camp kitchen is well equipped, clean and well maintained, and indoor dining area was very nice and warm on a cold Victorian morning!

There are not enough toilets however, 4 per gender in the lower end of the park and a long walk for some. There are also only four washing machines, 2 were out of order and 1 was a much smaller machine, so there was always a long wait to use one.

Most of the sites in the top end of the park are not level at all, which we thought was really odd. The site we were allocated was so sloped it wasn’t safe for the van, to get it level we had to chock it up so much it was wobbling, although thankfully they were able to move us to a level site but make sure you ask for a level site when booking!

Staff were mostly friendly although some were quite abrupt and clearly having a rough day.

Sites were small but no smaller than other similar parks. We did have things stolen though (clips on van storm covers!) so be warned. We put everything in at night because the camp next to us had multiple things stolen. Not the parks fault of course just something to be mindful of.

After reading the reviews about this park I was expecting something really incredible. We were already on the back of staying at some pretty amazing holiday parks at half the price anyway so had high expectations for this place with it being double to what we had been paying. Sadly expectations fell a little short. Staff were really friendly, park is well kept overall. What lets this place down is the lack of in-park features for families. The whole park is centered around the 2 pools as the main features. Although it's warm, it was chlorinated beyond belief, so much so myself and my daughter came out itching. Plus, they were heaving! Must have been almost 70-80 people spread across the 2 pools. Next was the playground, for the amount of space in this particular area and the amount of children staying, it surely wouldn't take much to fix the missing swing or even add in a bouncy pillow. The playground was really disappointing and looked pretty sad to be honest. The lack of the trampolines marked on the map disappointed my kids too considering they had the luxury of this at every other campsite we had stayed at. Lastly the toilet blocks were the longest walk we had all holiday and were getting pummeled due to having only 3-4 toilets per gender in the lower end of the park. There were literally hundreds of people staying here and the amount of amenities did not match the amount guests. Aside from those things, great having open spaces next to the park for a walk and so on but sadly due to double the price what we were paying at other discovery parks with much better features and better equipped facilities, we left disappointed. Another toilet block and a better park would have made this a 5.

By far the best camp ground I have stayed at. Ammenities are very new and clean, playground for the kids are great, wildlife and views are absolutely breathtaking. We glamped for two nights and the accomodation was perfect, warm inside the tent, with everything you need including towels, tea, coffee, kettles and a comfy bed.

A lovely place to stay, friendly staff, kangaroos and cockatoos at your doorstep.
Beautiful all around views of the Grampians, close to walks and shops. Take a walk with a torch at night and you will see possums and owls in the trees. Will come here again.

This park is the best. Wonderful family park and cosy modern cabins for couples. The woodfire pool is a must in winter. The grounds are well maintained. Book in advance though.

We stayed 3 nights in a retro cabin which was adequately equipped with everything we needed. Even had a portable Weber that worked well. The campfire was a delight. During Xmas it was packed but we didn't encounter any issues in terms of noise. There were great people staying there. Lots of wildlife during sunset. We were able to see 100s of Kangaroos and emus. We also saw deers on one occasion. For the money we paid, I would say we got a great deal. Also the location is spectacular with lake Bellfield just a few minutes away.

Spent Christmas 2021 here.
Loved it.
It's one of the best caravan grounds I've come across.
Two heated pools.
Plenty of wildlife some to keen to get in your tent.
Found a huge male kangaroo in my annex on our last night and both of us got a good fright.
Good bike lane all the way into halls gap and close to the mini golf park.

Too many people enjoying the place and their Christmas break. This place had a nice swimming pool so kids enjoyed a lot plus it was facilitated with all the necessary amenities in the cabin. The best thing was to see the nature and the scenic mountains with beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Also the place had too many kangaroos, birds, deer's and emu visitors which were the greatest attraction for kids and elders.

We spent our Christmas at Lakeside Tourist Park. The kids really enjoyed their stay. Cabin was clean, well equipped for BBQ and cooking and the kids loved the heated outdoor pool. Overlooking the beautiful mountains with kangaroos, emus and parrots, it was the perfect getaway. Staff was really helpful too. Needed an extension for our Nintendo and the reception managed to find one for us. Will def go back!

We were so impressed with this tourist Park and the environment. We had a 4 night stay, pay for 3 nights special and hired the Budget Retro cabin. The bedding was as good as any 5 star hotel and we were very happy with all that was provided. It was delightful to open our curtains the first morning and see the Kangaroos gathered and the little ones playing. They had gone by 7am though and the cockatoos entertained us through the day. Halls Gap has some great sites.

We has a great time at this place, clean and modern cabins surrounded by beautiful nature. 2 heated swimming pools kept kids happy at the end of a long day of trekking or exploring Halls Gaps. I will definitely recommend the place to family and friends. Will be visiting again.

Great camping site. Best facilities I've seen so far.
I am sure I will return.

That said, things that would be good to improve in the future to make it Perfect:
- Put a toilet in the baby room
- Clean the kangaroo droppings before arrivals or provide a tool so we can do that

Great place. Friendly staff. Fantastic environment, trees, birds, kangaroos and amenities are clean and they have an ice cream van come around after dinner!
