Must try! I love the thick chicken broth here, you can decide on your noodles from very hard to soft texture. Just a small tip: you can put just a little bit of garlic and pickle chilli in your noodle soup which are all on the table. Super tasty.

The food is good and staff delivered service up to standard. Do take note that they serve Tori Ramen, not Tonkotsu Ramen (chicken instead of the pork ones).

For a chicken ramen, they tasted pretty good.

The noodles are delicious but a little hard to eat. I pick the regular strength of the noodles, so if you're first time in this restaurant, remember to pick the soft strength and it might amazing you.

Pretty much as good as Ramen gets in Melbourne. Rich broth, perfectly cooked egg and some of the best karage you can find.

Fantastic ramen and perfect portions. Staff are very friendly and wait time isnt too long even on peak hour. Would like some more ramen and don variety or maybe some new entree menu items like edamame or agadeshi tofu.
Overall great experience and will highly recommend.

Portions are a good size and the katsu chicken is absolutely amazing, but the ramen is a little bland

Hits the spot every time I’ve come here for dinner! This is a place you have to dine at least once!

They only offer chicken soup ramen. It’s hard to describe how good this is, you do have to come in and find out yourself.

I’ve tried over 100 ramen shops around the world and this is within the top 3 among them.

I almost drank all the soup as well.

Their staff is super efficient and run ‍️ to different tables to serve and to do the tidy ups. I had a 15 min wait around 6 o’clock during a Friday evening.

Their dumplings seem a little over cooked but this wouldn’t overshadow the ramen noodles and their five star rating

For someone who's never had chicken ramen, it was surprisingly good! Definitely comparable to a good bowl of tonkotsu ramen.

Hopped in here for a quick lunch from work. I knew this place served only chicken ramen, but decided to give it a try regardless. I had the Signature Tori Ramen which was okay, but less flavourful to my taste buds. I didn't get the satisfaction that I'd always get with a Tonkotsu (pork) soup ramen.

I went with the 'normal' noodle (they had options of normal, soft, hard or very hard) option which I felt should have been softer. Also they do not have marinated egg in the soup which is a bummer. I had to order one separately ($2.30) to be added into the ramen.

Otherwise, the service was quick and the staff very friendly.

This place never fails! Great and hearty chicken ramen in the city so good and very relaxed environment. Highly recommend the black garlic or the original tonkotsu flavour.and the mentai gyoza yum!

Great ramen. Quick service. The value for money could be better as the portions were average for the price though.

After trying the original Hakata Gensuke, wanted to give this one a try, since I also like chicken flavour. Ordered the gyoza, karaage and bowl of standard ramen. The karaage was overcooked and dry, which is disappointing considering the other store focusing on pork, was able to keep the chicken tender, whereas this chicken speciality store couldn't. The ramen was so so, a bit soft even though I ordered firm and the presentation of the nori was no good (it fell by the time the wait staff served it to me). Flavour wise, the broth wasn't as intense chicken flavour as the ones I had in Japan. Overall wasn't extremely bad, but wasn't outstanding.

Best chicken base ramen! Broth is so flavourful and tasty, the most hearty and satisfying bowl of ramen.
: God Fire Tori, Black Tori Ramen (added soy marinated egg), chicken karaage

Winner winner chicken dinner here. Normally I don't go for chicken ramen but these guys can do good ramen. We arrived jn Melbourne in the after noon and was planning to get a small feed but we ended up ordering more than what we expected
Got ourselves a Black Fire Tori Ramen and it was. Spicy but very flavourful.
Also got ourselves a cheeky Chicken Karaage which was HUGE in size and flavour and also some gyoza

I had Black Tonkotsu Ramen before at Russell Street. It was busy with a queue today so I came to this place at QV.

The ordering was easy with no customers queuing. The noodle soup made of sesame paste was a bit thick this time. As a result, this has made the soup taste less smooth.

The soul of eating noodles is its soup base. In this case, this meal has failed to deliver the result.

A friend of mine took me to this place upon a glowing recommendation. The ramen here is nothing like what I have had before. The chicken based broth is dense with flavour yet not empowering, it has a clean taste so it doesn't leave any bitter or oily taste behind your mouth. I would recommend to choose a harder noodle so I won't go soggy but it is entirely up to you. If you want to have a side, chicken karaage is the classic go to. It has a light batter coating, fried to perfection. Highly recommend and I'd go here many more times if I was living in Melbourne.

Ramen restaurant in QV. Just tried the basic standard ramen. Very tasty. Excellent broth and noodles. Lean chicken. Seating in and outside.

The service is trash, especially the fat female asian waitress with short hair. Talking very rude to me. I ordered a signature ramen, and I waited for like more than 40 minutes. The customers sitting near me who came after me has already got their food. And there is no chopsticks on the table when my ramen is coming. After the waitress put my food on the table, she just left. It was me, who asked them for a pair of chopsticks after my ramen arrived. Above all, the food taste so so and the service is trash. I strongly suggest to fire that short hair asian waitress.

A bit of a switch up from the normal Hakata Gensuke, as this place does not serve the pork chashu, instead they serve a lovely chicken slice which, despite being a big lover for the chashu, is quite refreshing! The broth is still the same, just as thick. I love the noodles here, one of the better noodles. Karaage is 10/10. The only reason its 4/5 and not 5 is the gyoza could use some work but they do the job!
