Guzman y Gomez - Box Hill

Placed an order at 12: 30. The delivery time was delayed multiple times and didn't end up coming until 2: 15.1h and 45 minutes to get your food is unacceptable and the food was ice cold when it finally arrived and they forgot to add in the burrito we ordered. I tried calling them multiple times but they don't answer their phone. A total waste of money. I want a refund in full. Disgusting food, disgusting service.

Update: had an email exchange with their "customer service" people and they sucked. Not help at all and just palmed it off to the delivery people. Totally sub par. Definately the last time we buy from any GYG.

Great food, the staff were kind, the food came out quick. We were able to sit down and eat our meal. It was very tasty and healthy would eat there again. Music was good as well.

Served by Sebastian on 29/6. Great service, very friendly and enthusiastic. I ordered a burrito meal which comes with a burrito with the filling of your choice, a drink and a chips. In total of $20.50.

Tbh not the cheapest for the quality of the food. The food was average imo, there isn’t anything that stood out. Both the burrito and chips were bland, not really worth it for the price. However it is very filling.

Quantity has been reduced to half after it is renovated. Sad to see this place I used to visit on a weekly basis but now hardly once a month

I placed an order 2 days ago, one of the items was a salad with shreded mushroom which unfortunately was pulled pork. I am a vegetarian so it was quite disturbing that i ingested meat. I called the Box Hill store, spoke to Michael who mentioned it may be a mistake on their part. He suggested i email pictures and the order details. Its been 2 days and he has failed to reply. I guess its just another franchise over promises and under-delivers. Keep away if your a vegetarian.

I hate doing negative posts: (Went to this GYG last night, server was great however i ordered the shredded mushroom burrito and they forgot to put the shredded mushroom in. Just beans tomato and rice buritto

Ordered a pulled pork burrito and chips which were made whilst I was there picking it up, burrito was cold mushie and tasted just as bad and the chips weren't much better.

Worst tasting Mexican I have ever tasted, no flavour and dissatisfied with the true Mexican taste, mad mex is absolutely the true taste of Mexican, supersede gyg by far

I have ordered food from this restaurant through gyg app when i went to pickup the order the restaurant is closed and the money has been deducted from my account, i am trying to call them but there is no response. They wasted my time 1 hr by waiting near the restaurant and the store is opened but there is no one inside.

Huge inconsistency in their food.
Customer service is always horrible, employees come off as rude and distasteful towards customers.
Saw an employee handling the hot chips with his bare hands.
In addition, there’s always something missing in my order…
The portion sizes is so little and looks silly compared to their packaging.
Ordered brown rice in my burrito bowl, which was not cooked at all!
Extremely disappointed.

Absolutely love the burritos here. They taste amazing. Only issue I have is the size is so inconsistent. Sometimes they are very filling and other times, the burrito is so skinny. Really need to have some quality control here.

Did a dinner with here with 3 others and everything tasted pretty good, but this was 2 years ago. From seeing recent reviews and how poor the quality has been in Adelaide also, I have downgraded my 4 stars to 2, I no longer recommend GyG for a dinner out.

Michael the restaurant manager could t have been more helpful after my daughters takeaway order was mixed up.

Fantastic customer service

I've ordered here probably 30 times, I've tried pretty much everything on the menu and I've never had a bad meal. They're always so quick, even when it's busy. I mostly order through their app and pick up. Not sure if they prioritise orders through their own app but it's never been more than a 10 min wait.

Great food Great people. I accidentally ordered a wrong order through the app but when I went to the store they offered me to change it even though it was already made. Great service!

I am a regular customer recently, and in general I was happy with everything. However, I waited 30 mins for my meal today and when I got home to open the meal, the ingredients I paid for extra money to fill in are not in the box.
Really poor communication with customers, if you don’t have brown rice, staff should communicate with customer. I was literally waiting the brown rice to be cooked for 30 mins…coz I saw that when the brown rice was ready my meal was ready shortly!

This place used to be really great but seemingly has dropped the ball lately. We've given a few more chances but our latest order was the worst yet and I don't think I'll be going back. Food was stone cold, soggy and stale. The presentation was also pretty bad (the burrito bowl looked thrown together and was all to one side).

Ordered picked up for 3x Tacos, however received the $3 tacos which have less ingredients and less enjoyable. Food was alright. Environment of the store was loud and awkward. Employee was shouting, singing and was very distracted whilst working…perhaps why my order was incorrect. Would avoid this store if possible. Better experiences as Croydon GYG.

I used to be a regular customer at Guzman Y Gomez Box Hill south.

I used to get meals regular size and i was happy with everything.

Since few of my last visits, when I am ordering it the regular meals they are half full.
I have complained about it the manager was pretty good guy he apologised and fixed it for me.

When I visited the store today got 2 regular veggie bowl and 2 regular veggie nachos.

All were half full. When complained the girl I forgot to get her name was VERY RUDE she is like this is how we give. I was like I am having my meals from here since a year and I know whats the meal size is.
I was so angry and embarrassed at the same time. She was like I am filling for this time and I will not from the next time. How ridiculous customer service it was.

And I have decided not to visit this store anymore.

Price of the food is being increased starting this year and bowl size decreased to half and rude staff members.

Food is always so fresh and good here well priced and great service. Store has been closed for about a month undergoing renovations, eagerly awaiting your reopening! Burgertory which just opened next door is not great and very expensive…
