69The worst customer service of all the Gyg's I've been in Melbourne. Had to wait for 15mns to order even though workers were idle. By the time someone took my order the person who took my order was talking to someone in the back in some language other than english and laughing. I don't know what they were talking about was it about me or something else? Need to sort out this i guess.
The place is dark and cold. Everything around is closed, and there is so much wind. Isn't comfortable. But the food is really good.
The guy that looks like former UFC champion Alex Pereira who worked the front today, 23/06/2023 at lunch time is amazing. Valuable asset to the franchise, should be made a manager!
Food was ok- standard, but portion was so small that I was hungry for whole afternoon.won't be back.
The person ordered kept arguing with me about a coke no sugar and he insisted he put 3 in the bag when we only received two, he wanted me to pay even when I showed him we didn’t get the right amount. He continued to yell at me. Not a good experience what so ever
Half the proportion, worst quality
As a genuine fan of Guzman y Gomez, I’ve never had a complaint for their food for years until today. To be direct- this chain (Collins st) is the worst I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to most of the other ones.
I visited GYG Collins st at 3: 09pm on ANZAC day and as much as I want to appreciate the hard work during public holiday I couldn’t. Shouldn’t the public holiday price rates reflect equal product being sold to customers despite a working on holiday? Clearly wasn’t.
I received half the proportion and a small teaspoon amount of guac (add-on) which I questioned if it came out correctly- which they said that is the standard. Lol
Staff were yelling at each other, seemed super unorganised, didn’t put in the extra hot sauce I asked for- which they replied everything is as I ordered.
Please recruit team members who can uphold proper standards of this brand thankyou.
Oh my god. Just ordered a burrito bowl from these guys and it was beyond salty! I'm talking so salty that sea water would be more pleasant to drink. Basically inedible. Thanks guys.
Your Collins st store needs serious help. Customers are waiting over 45 minutes for their order. Orders aren't prepared in numerical order. There is no app order screen at the store either to see order progress. Will be avoiding this place from now on.

I just ordered a chicken bowl with extra beef and extra guacamole
When I opened the bowl it had just little rice, little guacamole and no beef! It was a disgusting taste and since it was a takeaway delivered from ubereats I got refunded only $2! What a joke!
My experience with this store has been terrible and very very disappointing. This is not my first experience with them but second experience where either my food doesn’t taste good, half cooked or wrong order. Today I received an incomplete order and when i went to the store a front door person named Natalia said I’m sorry I can’t do anything about this we received incorrect order on the screen. But my app said something else. If it was their technical error she should have fixed my order straight away without any arguments. Instead she rudely pushed my bag towards me and said I am sorry we can’t do anything about this. What do you mean you can’t do anything about this? It was your technical error it was your error you should’ve fixed my order straight away without any arguments. If I am paying you $36 and don’t get the food I ordered it is highly disappointing. I would like to report Natalia and her colleague who was along with her at the front desk he probably was a shift manager.
This is my worst customer service experience ever and I believe GYG needs to train their employees better and definitely need to teach them some customer service skills. On the other hand if it was Mccas or Hungry Jacks they would have straight away apologised and fixed my order without any arguments. I’m never going to this store again however hungry I am. As a customer of GYG i am very disappointed. People like them have made me hate my favourite Mexican franchise. You people are terrible, terrible customer service experience.
Curious to know why this shop always got a line. They offered new members promotion who downloaded the app with free burritos. I ordered it and be ready in 10 min. Great portion for a free dish and surprisingly tasty while u can taste how fresh are the Ingredients.

I ordered online and it was meant to arrive within 20 minutes. I’ve been waiting for 45 minutes now and Uber eats is saying it will be another 20 mins. That’s 1 hour wait when there is chicken in my order so not very safe to eat after this delay. I tried called the shop and no answer, very poor service and health and safety to leave the delivery with meat for that long, all I ordered was 1 rice bowl.
Nice place for a quick bite. Food is good enough, but nothing worth mentioning.
They have few tables nearby, but there are not many places to sit.
I was pretty disappointed on Friday when I returned to the office with my order. My food was cold and was nothing how I expected. Usually when ordering a burrito bowl I wouldn’t expect the contents to be more than 50% rice and the guacamole to be guacamole not large chunks of avocado. Feels like there’s no care in the preparation in this store.
The food is tasty and portions are generous; but, what makes this particular GyG stand out from the rest is the friendly and warm customer service delivered by its staff. I will totally recommend it
Got a pulled pork mini salad in peak lunch hour and didn't take too long (about 8 minutes). It was tasty, although slightly on the expensive side
Took a group order for a workplace, ordered 2 hours in advance. Accepted the order, seemingly prepared it. Then cancelled it just before delivery. No other communication, restaurant won't answer the phone. Would have happily picked it up if I knew the food was made. 15 very disappointed colleagues. Won't use Guzman or DoorDash again.
Great service, delicious food.
