Gum Tree Caravan Park

Lovely caravan park, quiet & very well cared for. Our cabin was spotlessly clean, comfortable & had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. The camp kitchen was great, clean & well fitted out for a bbq dinner. The owners are lovely friendly people who are very welcoming. Overall a very pleasant experience & one l would certainly recommend.

Really lovely camping ground. Located just out of Port Fairy so nice and quiet and relaxing.
Our deluxe cabin was clean and comfortable with a verandah to sit and soak up the morning sun. My 6 year old had so much fun in the playground and on the gocarts.
Pete and Viv are very friendly and welcoming.

Easter weekend 2021 4 nights 5 days stay found the amenities clean tidy easy to navigate, all the services you would ever require, powered site was mowed flat and maintained good size as well

What better place to have a stay. Dog friendly, great off lead section to die for for the pooches. Owners very obliging and friendly. Well done.

Great place to stay, owners are really friendly $21 per night when we stayed there, slightly out of town but much better than the others. Also dog friendly.

Just stayed at Gumtree Caravan Park for 3 nights with 3 vans, as the rates were amazing and were very surprised at the great facilities and how clean they were. The owners Viv and Pete were very friendly and went out of their way to help. It beats the large impersonal chains. Would not hesitate to stay with them again.

OMG this caravan/holiday park is amazing very dog friendly, they have this huge off leash area with dog play equipment owners are very friendly and helpfull place super clean and everything you need would definately stay here again

We were looking at exploring Port Fairy during the Australia day weekend.
We were unfortunate to book a last-minute trip, but incredibly fortunate to find Gum Tree Caravan Park. We appreciate theirs affords and how much they provide. I would really like to thank them in this write-up.

We communicated with them over the phone, and they were nice enough to explain to us that all cabins were booked, but they located us in an awesome camping spot with plenty of space.

Gum Tree Caravan Park is conveniently located on the bike trail in Port Fairy. You can wander into the city from the bike trail. If you like it, you can ride along to Koroit for a day trip. You can spend time in Port Fairy paddleboarding in the harbour or for a hike to Griffith Island. Please talk to the owner for their hot seafood and food tips.

Owners were incredibly diligent on all of our requests. They cleaned all amenities (bathrooms and kitchen) all day long, multiple times. They were very careful on contact tracing.

We were impressed with the kitchen that included water kettle, a stove, a microwave and a BBQ.

We enjoyed the surprise Onward movie on Saturday night. Thank you very much.

This is a small family-owned Australian business. The owners were incredibly nice giving local tips and their stories. The campground was incredibly clean and awesome. Since then we see other campgrounds and we always think of how lucky we were with the space, cleanliness, and amount of comfort we had.

Our accommodation was a good size & the bed comfortable. Our dog, Tom enjoyed the off-leash area. Which was a big space & fenced.

We enjoyed our first stay at Gum Tree over Christmas 2020 - New Year 2021. With 3 x kids in tow and the family dog, Pete & Viv were very accommodating and had great community-based and family friendly activities and events that kept us all entertained. The park facilities were very well-maintained (for both kids and dogs!) - it's no wonder first-time like us become regular campers like those we met during our stay! The location is great - only a 5min drive out from Port Fairy and we got to watch the Port Fairy NY fireworks from our cabin!

A smaller park but clean and well maintained, friendly staff. Extremely dog friendly, seemed we were the only 2 sites that didn't have dogs, has a great off leash dog area. Park is about 5 mins into the town of Port Fairy.

The attention of Peter and Viv was great. They create a great atmosphere for their guests. The common areas were very nice

Nice place, close to the city center. Fully equipped, nice bed, decent shower. The one drawback is the lack of wifi.

This is a small Caravan park, unlike some of the big ones that get very busy and noisy. This caravan park is very safe for families with children, with very clean amenities. Situated 2 km from town. Recommended.

Great caravan park. Pete and Viv could not do enough for you. I watched Pete work on an older couples tv ariel for hours until he had the tv working. Viv would work late to make sure the wash rooms were clean for the mornings. Such a friendly and accommodating place to stay. Well done we will definitely be back.

We had a great stay at Gum Tree Caravan Park. Pete was great to deal with over the phone and he helped get us a site at short notice. We received a warm welcome from Viv upon our arrival and received all the info that we needed for our stay, including what events were on in and around town. The facilities were kept clean and tidy. My children appreciated the new bark on the playground and the camp kitchen provided was kept clean. Viv and Pete are great people, always up for a chat and are easy to approach. The camp office is stocked with essentials at a reasonable price. The addition of a baby bath in the ladies toilets was well loved by those with babies also. We loved that caravan park was just on the outskirts of town, it was quiet, sometimes we could hear the cows from neighbouring paddocks which we loved, and the sunsets were gorgeous!

Unfortunately, our stay was cut short due to our tent collapsing in the high winds, but Viv and Pete did everything possible to help us. We look forward to spending another week with Viv and Pete in 2020!

Awesome campground for a very fair price. Lovely host that gave us great recommendations about the town and the great ocean road!
