Gujju's Cafe & Chat House

I ordered the Kathyawadi Thali on Uber eats for one person & OH my goodness!
Such a large portion of so many different things, perfectly balanced.
I will have a whole meals worth of food left for tommorow which is so appreciated:)

I wasn't sure of what everything was in the Thali, but wasn't disappointed with the unknown dishes.

The only feedback I would give is the yoghurt type drink in the bottle, I thought it was Mango Lassi, but it's like a type of liquid raita.
I would of personally prefered a Lassi & the bottle tricks me into thinking it is haha.

Authentic Indian Gujarati food.slightly expensive for the thali.but given its unlimited it will work well for those with a good appetite.

Wanted to try some Gujrati food and we tried their thali. We had previously tried their chats and loved them and so it the case with the thali.

Worst food.paid 70$ for 2 tiffins and was total disaster.food looked and tasted old.no taste at all.would not recommend at all

We ordered kutchi dabeli, amritsari chaat and panner chilly for starters. Chaat and dabeli was very nice but panner chilly was ok. For mains schzewan rice and panner Manchurian was good. Ragda pani puri was extremely bad and so was tea. Service and ambiance was good

Have been there recently with friends but the customer service is very poor. The food quality is very low (no taste) and the plate quantity for all the dishes ordered is very less. Rather than just recommending the dishes and waiting for customer to choose, they are kind of pushing and rushing you to order quickly without giving time to go through the menu. When compained about 2 dishes out of 11, the reply was literally “Everyone likes it and I don’t know about the other dish” without even apologising or asking about the issue and the behaviour was very rude with no respect.
Extremely disappointed (0 star) and not worth the money / time so never coming back and recommending anyone.

Dry Chili paneer was so hard to chew. Upon informing the staff no solution was given. Noodles was nice.

Went there after a suggestion from my friend. We had chats and they were made as expected! Delicious.

Food has revamped and new energy has been injected at Gujjus. Gujarati and Kathyawadi Thali photos below. Food, service and portion are generous and free flowing. If you are in this area and crave some traditional indian food a must try.

The service was awesome, the food absolutely delicious. I personally recommend ragda petis. The flavour was so rich. The staff was super sweet and constantly checked up on us if we needed something. I don’t remember the girls that served us but they were just awesome! Thank you for the awesome food and the impeccable service.

Thali options are good and service was also prompt and friendly! Good theplas and seeets served in the thali

Awesome food, I was feeling seek for last few days and wanted to eat something like home, and this place served the purpose. The food is just so delicious and have no comparison.

Just one complaint which is regarding toilet is that it could be more hygienic.

Masala lemon soda and masala coke were good.
Both normal and ragda pani-puri were satisfactory as well.
Corn chat - Completely different from what usually have had in India, instead it is too sweet and sticky. Mixed with Indian savoury snacks & peanuts. Could only have no more than 2 spoons.
Kachori chat - A thin layer of flat kachori at the bottom, topped with chickpeas masala, yogurt, and sauces. Could have been better I believe.

Glad I ordered. So difficult to find a pure veg restaurant in Melbourne. Was not well to cook and ordered from here.totally worth the price.quantity was sufficient and taste was good. Definitely going to order again and will plan to visit for dine-in. Thanks

Cute place, friendly staff, switched on to great service. I felt the abundance that you expect while having a thaali. This place also has chaat and indo Chinese food, I’ll visit again for chaat, this time I stuck to a thaali, there are 3 thaali options, I had the biggest of all they offer, Rajwadi thaali. I was over the moon. That familiar smell of the food and that out of the world fresh food taste. The restaurant lives up to its name! Truly gujju!:)

Amazing Gujarati food. It's hard to find good Gujarati food in Melbourne. This one has so many street food options. Most of the food is vegetarian (as far as I remember). My fav place.

Worst pani puri and sev puri I have ever had.
Super cold water of pani puri and no taste in sev puri chutney

We had the gujju thali, the kathiawadi thali, vege manchurian dry and dhai sev puri. The Thali food was stale, felt like it was made yesterday n served today, thali dishes were served cold as well. The sabudana wada were more like aloo wada, the kichri was mixed rice not proper kichri at all
Manchurian was burnt, the Dahi puri was not filled properly at all.
We ate on Sunday night and 3 out of 4 of us got extreme cases of gastro and 1 got extreme food poisoning it was really bad. Be very careful
