Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery

Read the reviews and thought to give it a go despite a hectic itinerary. Unfortunately, it did not lived up to the hype for us. It is similar to the Chocolaterie at Yarra Valley. Food at cafe was average. There is an outdoor area so great for young kids with high energy. Highlight was the free sampling of chocolates. Loved the ruby and dark chocolate with curry leaves!

Great place for all ages and well worth the visit, very popular spot so bring your patience, look online for kids participating experiences.

Great selection of white, milk and dark chocolates. In addition to the usual flavours, there's a new ruby chocolate that you can sample when you first enter the place. If you would like a sample of those chocolate at the entrance, remember to have a napkin on your palm or else the chocolate will melt into your hand. Also, watch out for any promotions that they may have at the counters.

The kids loved this place. Was crazy busy, poor staff were run off their feet. Was super warm in the place. Ice cream and milk shakes were lovely also.

A good place to visit. The chocolates are great. But the price is a little bit high. The price not like a factory price. The foods are very bad. The ice cream is good.

It is a nice place to visit with family or friends, especially with kids. Had lunch also and it was tasty. Hot chocolate was really great. This place has got a small lavender farm, lawn area, small vegetable garden and there were chicken and rabbits also. Great place for a small break!

It's always a treat going to Great Ocean Road Chocolatier. The coffee, the food and cakes are amazing. Not to mention the Chocolates are out of this world. They run a Chocolate tasting which was awesome, got to taste so many different flavours. It's become our regular place for weekend lunches.

I went here for a friend's day out for the high tea experience, it was a fun day and the food was delicious, I have a nut allergy so they made me a special high tea stand with a few different items then what they regularly have and it was much appreciated, our host Lucas was friendly and a fun host and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend doing this experience as it was very reasonably priced.

Do your mouth a favour and buy some of the individual chocolates (truffles I think) at the counter.

Small in size, but spent ages looking around. So much to look at, free tasting as well is an excellent touch. Great place to visit.

Nice place to explore and see different chocolates, staff are friendly, restaurant meals are big and filling, ice cream is delicious. Gets busy on school holidays, weekends and public holidays though.

We loved visiting, the I've cream is AMAZING! Watching the chocolate bring made, taste testing, cafe and different activities to partake (book for these prior to your visit). Great atmosphere and so much chocolate to choose from to purchase.

Just based on what I tried this is by far the best of the 3 Choclatieres I have tried (same Chocolate chain). They were creamy, full flavoured and they even gave you a shot of warm chocolate to either eat or add in. If you are a chocolate lover then it is perfect. I also had a mango and peach ice cream that was just divine.
