Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery reviews
35It was so busy here, but for a reason. It is a great experience, a chocolate lovers dream. I will say it is more like a shop than an experience, and couldn’t see any tastings like mentioned on the website, but the chocolate is so yummy. Everything was a bit expensive, but its quality chocolate. The parking / entrance is chaotic! There are arrows pointing in opposite directions, one way streets, very confusing.
Great franchise chocolatier. Would highly recommend as a stopover when travelling via Great Ocean Drive
Chocolate and Ice cream - how can you go wrong.
I have to admit, I was there for the sculptures in the grounds
Yum! Yum! Yum!
Delicious Scones (Huge) with Jam & Cream.
A wonderful chocolate selection. I'll definitely go back there.
Great chocolate something for everyone.
I had afternoon tea with friends here. The coffee was delicious and the almond crossiant was amazing definitely recommend it.
Outside pet friendly
We took our dog camping so having a pet friendly place to visit is a must
We ordered 2 hot chocolates
Omg so delicious
We took home some store chocolates too to try.
Friendly staff
Lovely atmosphere
Omg.so much chocolate! Amazing atmosphere! Amazing and very helpful staff! Try the hot chocolate!
Chocolates were always great here. But didn't know about the cafe until now. Food is great and at reasonable prices too compared to the regular cafes in Melbourne. Kids have big open area to play so what's not to like.
My children participated in the school holiday junior chocolate experience & they loved it!
The staff were fantastic with the children, the host Lucas and the ladies made it super fun, exciting and made them all feel comfortable and safe! (&covid safe!)
They had a great learning lesson on chocolate & got to take home their delicious creations! Highly recommend!
It’s beautiful place for family and friends. I had fish and chips (best one so far) and also cocoa banana smoothie (yummy). Also variety of coccolate and ice cream to try ️️️️highly recommended
If you are a chocolate person you have to visit this place. You will chocolates of every type, size and tastes.
Very busy busy today. Everyone was under pressure. Food good. Service lady “Fatima”? (Sorry forgot her name) was very friendly and helpful. She was very busy but still had time to give us good customer service and explained the dessert on menu. Thank you Fatima. Unfortunately the customers next to our table was extremely rude to her even when she tried to help her and the same customer was rude to us.
Would recommend but make sure you wait.
Great place for a stop over and have some sweet treats on the way to great Ocean road and beyond
Thought it was a nice place to visit, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to buy any chocolates, very pricy! You could probably buy Lindt for the fraction of the price, the milkshakes taste like leftover milk from an ice cream machine!
In general very good food, chocolate and ice cream. Nice place and ambience. Service is good with the younger staff members (with smile and polite). 2 of the older female staff members, 1 at restaurant area and another one at the front cashier are not friendly and looked grumpy (No greetings, not a word of thank you,
everything is a hassle or too much for them, maybe they are depressed). Would have been a 5 star experience if we haven't met those 2 women.
Nice place to get your chocolate cravings fixed. The staff are friendly and they have lots of chocolate options you can think of.
The parking area is huge and spacious.
This chocolaterie offers almost the same items as the Yarra Valley one. It is still worth a visit.
The ice cream is very delicious and there are some nice outdoor areas were you can relax and enjoy your chocolate, ice cream or milkshake. Worth a visit but the scenery in Yarra valley is a little nicer.
I’d rather watch paint dry. Waited for 20mins for someone to serve us at the ice cream counter as we watched 5 staff walk around aimlessly only to be told to go to the counter outside. Ended up getting ice cream from 7/11.
Ice cream on your way to great ocean road trip…why not! Strategic location and good place to have a break.
