Super clean and warm place to stay. Quiet but convenient location with plenty wild and domestic animals. Friendly management team. Lots of touching designs and all facilities you can image and need (two full equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining area, two living/movie room)
Highly recommend
Will save this place and definitely stay again.

Common areas, rooms are very clean. Minimalistic rooms with lots of communal spaces which are very well furnished, perfect for a quick 1 nighter or for a long chilled vacation. You can buy groceries at the town's general store (1.5 km) and make your own food.

Friendly owner / managers. Clean rooms and showers. Excellent kitchen. I did the Peaks Trail so this place was great to embark from and return to to recover! Free tea and coffee in the kitchen is nice. Outside seating you can view the mountain range from while having breakfast or dinner.

A beautiful stay. We were a group of four that got into an unfortunate car accident which left us with no car and no place to stay.but Gary & Kelly were lovely enough to receive us late notice and with all the warmth in the world! We felt so well cared for and will always keep them in mind. Thank you!

I’ve stayed here twice and love it. The owners are absolutely lovely. It’s clean and comfortable, with a community feel. Great location smack bang in the middle of Halls Gap and on the doorstep of the some of the park’s most iconic hiking trails.

Amazing, homey and welcoming place to stay for a few days. Will definitely be back again. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful, getting to know the guests and involving themselves in activities. Very reasonably priced about $30-$45 a night depending on the time and room.

Rooms were well-aired, clean and tidy with good sized lockers and lamps for every bed. Doonas and down sheets provided, no need to bring a sleeping bag. There were also extra blankets for colder nights in the lockers.

Shared bathrooms were small but well-aired and kept clean. Showers were warm and nice big mirrors in the girls!

Kitchen was kept clean by all guests with a great fridge system where check out date and name labelled your food stuffs. Plenty of kitchen facilities including stoves, toasters, grilling and ovens, sinks, free coffee, tea and sugar. If you were up early enough you could also get a free egg or two freshly laid from one of the hostels' 7 chooks.

Communal TV room with Netflix and a quiet reading room were also available. A short walk into Halls Gap main shops

Chickens, communal herb garden, worm farm, water saving all added to the hostel's atmosphere and a lovely water feature and pond that was very pleasant to sit next to and relax. Plenty of wildlife around, saw ducks, emus and kangaroos.

Fantastic, relaxing place to stay in Halls Gap with a great atmosphere. A wonderful place to meet people and share in some adventures.

Ideal location on the main road into Halls Gap. Rooms were nice and comfortable, with heater for winter and fan for summer. The kitchen dining area was spotless warm and welcoming. 2 big lounge rooms with couches, open fire and a huge screen tv to watch. Highly recommend a stay here

My second time to stay in Grampians Eco YHA. It was still good as my memory. Beautiful, cosy hostel and friendly ppl were working there. And one cool thing was they offered some free eggs to backpacker. So surprised!
If you want to explore Grampians National park, Grampians Eco YHA is definitely good accommodation for you!

There is a reason this hostel won best in Australia, this a great little place to stay either short or long term, the managers are amazingly friendly and will encourage the guests to make the most out of their stay. The hostel is perfectly located with plenty of hiking trails near by as well as local cafes and restaurants. The beds are comfortable as is the TV and lounge room as well as a clean well maintained kitchen and dining area.

One of the most beautiful hostels I’ve had the pleasure of staying at! Staff was lovely and super helpful! We had a group of 15 and they had no issues making sure that our check in went smoothly and that we all enjoyed our stay! Would highly recommend staying here!

This is probably my favourite hostel. It's nice and clean, has two fire place sitting rooms, a nice big kitchen, and the dorms are quiet areas. I would rather stay here than a hotel in Hall's Gap.

Very good hostel, nice, big lounges and outside seating. However unlike other hostels the residents don't always leave the kitchen clean and put the dishes away. Perhaps a few posters in the kitchen reminding them to clean after themselves might help.

Great hostel! Definitely one of the best hostels I've ever been, if not the best!
Owners are great people, friendly and chilled. It is a very cleaned place, facilities are very good and comfy.
There is a herb garden and also chickens. Sets in a beautiful place in Halls Gap. Not to mention the beautiful Australian native garden - very well looked after. I had a great experience, highly recommend and would def come back.

This such a beautiful place! The beds are clean and tidy, the whole place is welcoming and the outdoor areas are beautiful. It is a short walk from the town centre so it is close to most of the trail starts.:)

The owners here are incredibly nice people, the place itself is both clean and cousy. With a well equipped kitchen and two nice living rooms.

The price is a bit expensive, but it's really worth it if you want to meet some people and stay at a very nice place at the same time.
