Grain Store reviews
71It on our top list! Absolutely good food n good service! Especially the cookies n milk, fresh bake on order! Cookies can buy separately if still available, unfortunately we didn't manage to grab some! Definitely will go back if have chance!
We had the blue summer crab chilli scramble and the lobster eggs benedict. The crab was perfect, but the poached egg on the eggs benedict was overcooked. There wasn't nearly enough hollandaise sauce for the eggs benedict, which was odd considering the chilli crab came with a generous amount of sauce
We pointed this out to the waiter and they brought out maybe 2-3 tablespoons worth of hollandaise on a little sauce dish which was good, but it wasn't complimentary. A bit upsetting considering the dish didn't have enough to start with
All in all, a good brunch but one star less for the lack of sauce and overcooked egg
Ordered onion rings- burnt and cold
Creamy mushrooms- watery mushrooms and had too much vinegar.
-paid 75 dollars for two coffee and two meals.
So not worth the price.
So angry that I ruined important day, paid expensive money but still had to say sorry for the quality of the food as a person who said lets try this place. Price like a fancy place, looks fancy tastes bad
Get rid of your pride! DON’T GO guys!
Appalling customer service. Disgrace to the industry.
Manager is the root of the issue.
I had no chance to finish my speech when trying to deliver feedback to the manager. I got cut off many times and turned down by the manager that our experienced was not relevant.
Pointless to even talk to them about your experience. They don’t care.
The shop is always busy so recommend make a reservation before coming.
The drink is so so. As simple as matcha latte but the taste is bland
The menu is varied however be clever in choosing. My friend ordered lobster benedict but the dish smelled very fishy and the combination of eggs, lobster and salad is very weird. (Hardware societe has a better version of lobster benedict)
I ordered barramundi with crispy prawns and I was disappointed cuz the food did not match the photos on menu. The prawns were school prawns this one is not that bad but a bit salty and lack the taste of toast or buns.
I think the shop is overestimated and especially, the surcharge is 12% on weekend and I paid $85 and still hungry
Bagel was lovely. Fresh, crisp & lightly toasted with a perfect egg. Coffee a nice morning pick up. Service was prompt & attentive without overbearing. V reasonably priced. Highly recommended. If we had any suggestions - pls turn up your great playlist!
Went for Saturday brunch. Staff weren’t very helpful about the table situation when we first arrived / were in the queue. One waiter just ignored my question about availability and said ‘he didn’t deal with that’ then walked off. They then said it was full, even though there were 6 seats outside not being used. I asked about the spare seats and they said they were booked. Then 2 mins later came back and said actually they weren’t booked and yes we could have the table
Once we did get a table, it was great service and the food was yum!
Breakfast with a twist! Amazing staff and the food is generous portion. Get in early if you do not want to line up.
3 of us went on a Saturday with no booking, the place was full but we barely waited 2 minutes for a table. Service was awesome, oat milk mocha was amazing. I had the breaky board but I found it a little underwhelming. The avo toast was very small and cold, the fritter was also barely warm. The bill was over $100 so kinda pricey for an ok experience.
Very fussy food that does not quite hit the mark. I had the beef cheek and rosti dish which was mainly mushrooms, with a frugal amount of cheek, potato galette (not rosti). Only a few good staff on the floor with many others with not much idea of what is on offer or able to provide service.
This place has been in our list for a while, and so we decided one weekend to go for breakfast. It was pretty much packed and we were asked if we had any booking, which we didn't. The staff was kind enough to accommodate us, and asked us to wait for around 10-15min till a table is available.
We were finally seated, and a friendly staff took our orders and fetched us the coffee.
We ordered the Salmon Omelette, served with house cured salmon, green goddess avocado, lemon ricotta, over a toasted focaccia; and the Blue Swimmer Crab Chilli Scrambled Eggs, served with chilli caramel, over croissant and aioli.
Both were perfectly cooked, and just loved them!
Definitely coming back to this place, and this time we will book in advance:)
Food was so delicious! Although more pricey than your regular brunches, the meals are more substantial so will keep you full.
Coffee was also yummy!
Very easy to make an online booking.
Customer service was great but could improve. Staff weren't very friendly.
There is a lot to love about this place (staff and atmosphere) but it is almost impossible get a vegan option.
Nice atmosphere. Awesome food. Tried the lobster eggs benedict and the crab chilli scramble. Both delicious. Fast and friendly service, too.
Definitely recommend, the food is so nice My partner and I came here for brunch and had a good feed. Staff all very friendly also
The staff are attentive and the meals are a good size for the price. I would happily return here. The entrance is easy to walk past if you're not paying attention though
Ambience was lovely, such a cute, cosy cafe. I ordered the chilli crab scramble, I don't usually like eggs but this dish was flavourful, creamy and the croissant tasted delicious. Service was good, however the only flaw was I asked if the lamb cutlet was served medium and the waiter said yes, however when it came, it was more rare. Hence the 4 stars. Overall, good food and recommend to give it a visit.
Ordered their Steak and it was pretty good and well portioned, although taste-wise I'm not too used to having coriander in my steaks
The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming!
The price range is a bit on the high side for the lunch menu. However, I'm looking forward to coming back for the breakfast menu (before 12pm) in the future, it sounded pretty good!
This joint is always busy on the weekend so you should always try to come early or make booking if possible. The food is your standard brunch menu, nothing stands out for us. Service and the vibe are great along with the coffee. Price is a little expensive for the quality of food you getting.
Food - 6
Service - 8
Vibe - 7
Price - $$$
Nice vibe, interesting food! A bit pretentious that I was denied my request for table water, due to the jugs being too "ugly". Resultant service was overbearing, staff coming by once every 3mins to refill my glass. My suggestion? Get different jugs if it really matters this much.
