Gracebrook Vineyards reviews
37We enjoyed a delightful lunch at this family winery. The owners are working there together with other local employees. The food is fresh from the garden and local suppliers and deliciously prepared. The wines seem to have something for everyone. We particularly liked the Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. Excellent place to visit. Really beautiful garden area to sit under big trees. Inside looks like it would be cozy in the winter time also.
This place is amazing, grazing platter is the best value for money with fabulous homemade produce
Great lunch in a beautiful spot. Food picked fresh from their farm. Also worth looking around to see the animals.
Went for lunch and some tastings on Saturday. Our experience was fantastic and the team were great with everything. Thoroughly recommend Gracebrook for a great experience.
Beautiful food, surroundings and service. Struck gold with this winery. Compliments to all the staff and the owners. Well done.
This definitely is the place for lunch in the King Valley. The grazing plate for 2 and a bottle of wine, surprisingly good value and absolutely delicious. Lovely location and great service from people who clearly enjoy what they do.
Went during really hot day and we were outside under the shade. Great Place for Family with Children.
Food was delicious and was all grown in the farm. The view of the hills of King Valley was breathtaking. Very friendly and accommodating staff - Thank you!
Very relaxed atmosphere but unfortunately some areas for improvement are required:
- A lack of knowledge of some of the menu items was apparent with staff. An exception can be given for alcohol items (as the staff may have been under the legal drinking age), however the training in that circumstance would be to ask the manager. Same applies to food items
- Description of food on the menu was incomplete eg zucchini flowers not stating they were deep fry battered. In addition, some items were very oily (my partner became ill from this)
- The bread didn’t taste particularly fresh. Ideally it should come out warm and have that fresh-baked smell/taste, with a side of butter (that melts upon addition to the bread)
- Upon request for a wine tasting, closed body language from the staff member doing the samples. My partner ended up not doing a tasting as they felt uninvited to do so
- Overall underwhelmed by the quality of the food, despite affordable pricing. Would go for quality over cost in the context of a winery, which has the ability to provide a premium offering
A warm greeting was given by the welcoming staff member. They also initiated the table-service and were professional & knowledgeable. The wine was good and very affordable. It was unclear what the scenic selling-point was but the general atmosphere was pleasant.
On balance probably more fair to award 2-2.5 stars but will leave the current score in hope that some improvements will be made for future patrons.
We had lunch at Gracebrook and the food was absolutely delicious. Eating there under the trees on a perfect 28 degree Summer day with friends reminded me of Italy. It was a stunning outlook, great wine and such beautiful home made cooking with local ingredients. We will be back soon!
After our visit to King River Estate, Ian recommended to go to Gracebrooke for some lunch, he was raving about how lovely the food was so we thought why not?
We parked up and walked in and we were able to get a table without booking, being the difficult couple we are, we asked for a table right by the vineyard as the view was absolutely stunning and the lady was more than accommodating.
We ordered drinks and food, the drinks came out first and food not too long after. I opted for the estate grown & made pork sausages w’ coleslaw and my partner got the roast duck leg w’ orange, fennel & king valley walnut salad.
The sausages were amazing! They tasted so damn good, seasoned to perfection and so did the tomato’s that came with them, they were sweet, salty and smoky it was sooo good, the only let down was the coleslaw, it just didn’t taste like coleslaw but just awful, none the less the rest was delicious.
My partners duck leg was so tasty too! The duck was moist and cooked really well, seasoned very well, the salad was nice and fresh, it really complimented the duck well, her overall dish was superb. I would highly recommend popping in for some lunch as the food is delicious and the view is superb. I would rate this place 8/10
Visiting Gracebrook Winery for lunch has been the highlight of our trip. So beautiful & peaceful. The views are stunning, wonderful food & excellent wines.
Took the family here for lunch. Fantastic food, and brilliant service. Family run hospitality. An absolute must if you’re in the area.
Nice work team @ Gracebrook!
Perfection plus. Food, wine, views and service. World class. We had lamb couscous
and quail for mains. Beautiful delicate flavours.
Amazing food! My husband and I shared the grazing platter served with a variety of local and seasonal produce. Will definitely return.
This was such a pleasant experience. This family don't need to advertise, they have been cooking and presenting fresh produce for 20 years. They are always booked well ahead and we were very lucky to get in at short notice. The views are amazing you won't want to leave and you are very welcome to sit and sip a wine from their extensive choice. All staff were brilliant. Book now!
Absolutely delicious food and everything is homegrown and home made, i love it. Atmosphere fantastic i recommend it. The best food in the King valley!
We had a beautiful lunch at Gracebrook Vineyards, the menu was extensive, the food was delicious and the wine was exceptional. The view from our table of the mountains and surrounding vineyards was delightful. To top it off the staff were friendly with excellent service.
We will be back!
We had a family get together for a Sunday lunch.as always a fantastic family friendly environment. Exceptional food, wine and service. The live music was an excellent addition.had us up dancing on the grass, while being cooled by the well positioned sprinklers. Our favourite winery once again ticked all our boxes.
When visiting family in Mansfield, this is our go to spot for lunch and a take-home case of wine!
Friendly staff, beautiful local menu, beautiful range of estate wines and cosy country venue with stunning views and open fire places.
A must try winery in the King Valley!
Great venue, nice wine, great food (had the grazing plate between 4 - plenty) perfect friendly staff.
