GOON BBQ reviews
39This place is amazing, great food, great atmosphere. Always have a great time when we come here. Highly recommend.
Friendly people, food quality is good and generous portions. We bought the Goon bbq set for 4 people, I couldn’t believe how much food we got. Recommend to get the bbq set if you visit this place, the set comes with 7 side dishes, including a plate of delicious korean pop fried chicken. Yup you read it right how amazing is that? Was a good experience after all!

Booked last minute for a group of 3 tonight and we were absolutely blown away by the great customer service and quality of food delivered. Every staff came across to check if our meats were flipped and made sure nothing was burning even though it was a busy night. Food was amazing, service was great, staff were super friendly. Highly recommend!
Unobtrusive service is good, memorable service is even better. This was the latter. Some staff members were even able to communicate with the parents in my group using Mandarin! If you order a platter, you almost won’t go hungry regardless of how many you are trying to feed.
Tonight's sensational dinner was a Korean Bibimbap Beef Bulgogi with complimentary Pickled Radish & Kimchi washed down with a Korean Cass Beer & some Peach Soju
Friendly staff, quick service, a nice atmosphere & reasonably priced.highly recommend
Had takeaway from here and it was awesome! Staff were pollite and friendly, nice atmosphere and beef bap was excellent! 5 stars
Amazing, very authentic. If you have a group of 10 or more. Make sure you get the room upstairs overlooking smith street.
The fried chicken shin ramen and beef bulgogi bowls were amazing. These dishes exhibited a wonderful depth and breadth of flavors. The atmosphere is intimidate and welcoming, the friendly staff only made the experience more enjoyable.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Melbourne for atmosphere, food and people. Danny is a great host who has a natural charisma that makes you feel like part of the furniture. Nothing but good words to say about this place and its people
One of the best places to eat on Smith Street. Terrific food, good prices and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Can't recommend highly enough.
Very nice! The staff is very friendly and chilled. The food is abundant at a reasonable price. We got the bbq beef set, all the sides were tasty and warm. I definetly recommended, you can tell that all the staff and the cooks are making a great job!
Far from the best korean food available in Melbourne. The kimchi soup used to be decent but now it’s just watered down and has been the last 2 times I visited. The naengmyeon isn’t bad but is meh.
Attempted to come here for a quick meal with Zomato Gold but was informed that I would only have the choice of either 2 ice creams or 2 drinks, or a side dish when I pressed about the terms and conditions for the 1+1 offer. I even showed the waiter the offer on the app, and he apologised profusely stating that his boss told him that if anyone came in for a zomato gold offer, that that was what he was to say.
This place just continues to disappoint me.
Average Korean food, the corn and cheese thing was horrible.no room at our table to put anything and no bean sprout salad! On top of that there are no exhaust fans over the bbq grills so you leave stinking of food.
I’ve never seen like this restaurant before! Thanks for having me great foods and atmosphere. If someone look for bbq restaurant, i would tell this place!
Very funky and cute Korean BBQ restaurant, cool decoration and music! Food was authentic, fresh and delicious, very generous serve and reasonably price. Service was excellent. Met the owner, very friendly and genuine, hope to see you around our neighbourhood!
Wasn't expecting much but this place was crazy good for lunch with a $9.50 Lunch Cup Rice Express offer advertised on a banner out the front. That caught my eye and have been back twice since. Staff were great in helping me choose on my second visit as I had so many meals that looked appetising. My favourite is pop chicken. My friend had the mandoo dumplings and again - very tasty. This place is kinda quirky with interesting music from my past (1980's) and decor that is endearing. Kid-friendly, in fact, I watched the staff being so sweet to a table that had 4 kids under 10. Wheelchair friendly.
Easily the best korean in the area. The food is great, prices amazing and the owners are the best!
Went here on Saturday night with a mate and had a great experience. The food was good, not overpriced and decent servings too. We sat up at the bar and with the really fun (cheesy in a good way) tunes, we were chatting to other patrons sitting at the bar. The staff were really accommodating. Will definitely be back. Not high end, but if you want a fun night out with your mates, this is the place.
Such an amazing atmosphere for a Thursday night - the food was delicious, the drinks were cheap. The staff made it, were incredibly warm and welcoming.
Will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in Collingwood.
