The pearls here were chewy and tasteless. The warm royal milk tea I ordered today tasted like warm water.

Best tea place ever! Their stuff actually tastes good and i rlly like their cups they are very solid and cute.

These Taiwanese beverage chains serving tea and freshly brewed beverages are more and more popular around Melbourne and Australia. My favourite is the lychee oolong tea and have had it a few times now but from other stores. Lots of choices and everyone seems to have their ‘go to’ on the menu.
Would be good if they could create a better environmental way of managing the containers and the straws etc. So much waste. Tried to take back my container and asked for it to be refilled but they wouldn’t. Alas!

There was no line when I ordered so I don't understand why she rushed my order because it tasted like ice water. I ordered a taro milk tea and the powder was clumped up at the bottom from nor being mixed in properly. Never coming back

We happened to stop by the store pretty late at night but that didn’t stop them! The service was wonderful, the cashier helped us to pick from their variety of flavors and toppings.

Loved that they had the options for the customers to pick how much ice and sugar they want for their drinks. We ordered the royal pearl milk tea & chocolate milk tea with pearls. The pearls or tapiocas were soft and chewy, and the teas were perfectly flavored & delicious as well. We had to wait only about 5 minutes for the drinks.

Most of Melbourne's Gong Cha stores can be hit and miss, but this one in particular is consistently good and I love it. This is my go-to for cheeky late night milk tea - they're the only one that seems to have their full menu available no matter how late you stop by. I've placed orders close to closing time and they're still able to make my favourite (oolong tea).

The service is fast, efficient and polite. The staff seem more content here and chat to each other while they work in a friendly manner (as opposed to the other stores where they seem stressed and a little overworked).

There's also plenty of seating too, so you can actually make a date of your Gong Cha experience rather than standing awkwardly on a street surrounded by smokers.

All in all, this is a fantastic Gong Cha and I'd recommend it to any tea lovers. No fuss, just good tea:)

Must try: the Toffee Oolong Milk Tea (hot or cold, it's freaking legendary).

The taro coconut milk tea was so sweet I can't even! I already ordered no sugar in it but it still was too sweet for me! Service wasn't the best, there was this girl who had an annoyed face when she was serving at the counter. Gongcha drinks have always been a bit too diluted for me overall.

The customer service is really bad. The girl at the counter was very rude. She did not greet with a ‘hi’, just stared at me n went “what drink” and took a sip from her drink while serving me.

Gong cha wish your boyfriend was hot like me? Gong cha? !

haha.waley. I ordered Taro Milk tea with sago and lychee jelly. I hate the lychee jelly.its not a jelly at all.so minus 1star for me.but I love the taro milk tea so I still drank it all.haha

the small store is always busy so you might need to wait for a bit.

Green tea with red beans is my favourite. Drink 4 times a week when I stay in Melbourne. Quite expensive though.

Jasmin Greentea with milk foam is simple but something I can stop having at every Gongcha place.thumbs up.

Drink is great. However, the service is not doing great. Always long queue and slow preparation. Also, it would be better if there is a different line of people waiting and queuing to order. Some people seems to be confused if it is their first time to gong cha.

I love Gong Cha, but some staffs are not so good in services and behaviour.
I intended to give 1 but I still love Gong Cha milk tea. I hope Gong Cha brand can improve those problems.

Just visited Swanston St outlet at 12: 30 to 12: 50 pm. The Chinese lady attended to me was very rude and unfriendly. As if she didn’t get her pay with her long and sour face at the reception. It was’t a busy day, no long queue. If she is not fit to be at the reception or cashier, just do her work at back room. Otherwise, her rude attitude will “shooed” or scared your customers away. Please review your CCTV on the lady who served customers during the time.

This is the first time I had Gong Cha, and I decided to try it out since it was being advertised on Facebook (Liven App). Apple Green Tea was being promoted on the screen so I got one of those with Lychee Jelly. Unlike the lychee jelly that I have previously eaten like in Utopia, Easy Way, Chatime and Presotea, it was quite flavourless (?) and less chewy. I guess it is what Gong Cha jelly tastes like. Other than that, the tea was pretty good. Though, the tea isn't that 'mellow' and can give a bitter after taste. The service was fast and the staff was nice. I would recommend downloading the app for taste testing.

Not the best place for bubble tea. I always get the same flavor at any bubble tea store so I can always pick up the differences in taste and quality. The drink wasn't upto good standard, no nice texture rather fibrous texture, not milky texture. The service was fast but I wouldn't go there again. If I'm paying the same amount, id rather get a better quality.

Gong cha has pearls. Very real iable. Also, it is big chicken neighbor. Edit: mahyo comes from royal family. Therefire mahyo has royalty card. Mahyo is not loyal, only royal.

I always buy bubble milk tea with half sugar and also the fried big chicken which is just next store, OMG, so delicious!

Favourite drink. Doesnt matter if it's a cold weather or a hot weather. They've always got a great selection of drinks and you have the option to control the amount of sugar to suit your preference
